40k: Midnight Blade

I will talk about the latest updates and the previous volume, I won’t skip it.

To be honest, this book has entered a very strange bottleneck period after the end of the great rebellion.

I really hope to maintain the quality of the Siege of Terra, and at the same time I hope to be able to update more than 8K every day. The end result is that I am exhausted and difficult to maintain. I really think too highly of myself.

This sequelae has spread to this day, causing me to sit on pins and needles in front of the computer every day. If I do anything else, I will feel panicked and my conscience will be tortured. But if I really want to write it, I feel that the result will be unsatisfactory.

I wrote more than 5,000 posts during the live broadcast yesterday. When I woke up in the morning, I deleted them all and started again. Sitting till late at night every day is like being in jail.

I kind of don't understand what's happening to me.

And looking back now, the pseudo-human line at the end of the last volume was really a failure in writing. After reflection, I think the essence lies in the lack of writing power and lack of energy.

I originally wanted to open three perspectives and advance multiple lines simultaneously, the Savita line, the pseudo-human line and the angel line, and finally the three lines converge, but I don't have that diamond. Now let’s go through it a little bit and give an explanation.

The original idea of the previous volume was a super chaos. The puppet princes Guilliman launched a rebellion and fought together in the Five Hundred Worlds.

In the original plot, the role of the only pseudo-human Guilliman (let’s call him Guilliman Lily) who doesn’t eat people will be very important. Do you remember that node network?

Guilliman Lily connected to the node network and learned from it that the war was about to spread. The pseudo-people will eat each other until the last winner is eaten, and then they will face the real Roboute Guilliman.

Guilliman Lily doesn't care about this, he just wants to protect the civilians of his planet from the coming chaos that he cannot stop.

In order to achieve this goal, he needed an army - so the knight who was parasitized by his flesh and blood came in handy (for the time being, it can be regarded as a monkey version of the Astartes, without intelligence and power armor, affected by Guilliman's lily direct manipulation).

In the original plot, he relied on this discovery and chose to exhume the dead and cover them with his own flesh and blood, creating a literal army.

But this is not without cost. The flesh and blood he spreads cannot be regenerated.

When the line of Sevatar and the Sons of Calth merged with his line, they entered the lord's hall all the way and saw Guilliman Lily standing in the darkness wearing the lord's robe, and under his robe almost There is nothing left.

(A person who tries to protect everyone but fails to protect himself)

In short, at this moment, the blackbird, Tzeentch's eyeliner, detonated the bomb that had been buried long ago through the erosion of chaos. Guilliman Lily's puppet army began to slaughter everywhere, the entire planet turned into a sea of fire, and an entire army of Primarch began to kill and eat people everywhere.

Haha, grimdark.jpg

In short, after a series of operations, the remaining body of Guilliman Lily was taken away by Otter. Afterwards, they met with Guilliman himself. Guilliman lily raised the issue of the backdoor of the node network, and then formulated a plan - a decapitation tactic.

Very simple and crude.

The plan itself is not complicated, but it is very difficult to execute, because currently only Guilliman Lily can enter it through the identity of the node. With his current combat power, which has never eaten anyone, he cannot defeat others.

At the critical moment, Guilliman himself decided to believe in the mutilated, bloody monster in front of him. He cut off part of his own flesh and fed it to Guilliman Lily.

What happened after that was very simple. Lao Ka and the captains of the major Ultramarines went to the surface, and Guilliman Lily himself cooperated with them in the node network to carry out decapitation tactics.

Essentially, I wanted to write a young, naive version of Robert Guilliman and throw him into a really, really, really bad situation and see what he would do.

I'm not one of those people who writes very planned or prepared. Basically, I lay out a framework for the character and then just throw him in and let him act on his own.

Just imagine, Guilliman Lily, her country has been lost, the people she swore to protect are all dead, and the planet has been destroyed by the Extermination Order. Moreover, before that, everyone who had believed in him was afraid of him...or his face.

After that, he clearly refused to eat people, but he had to be fed flesh and blood by the original body and became a monster.

There is a lot to write about, but my abilities are limited.

In short, the tomb that Curze dug at the end of the previous volume was actually prepared for Guilliman Lily. In the ending, I plan to let the soul of the knight he killed wipe his tombstone in the cemetery.

That's probably it. Although I can't write it, I still want to give an explanation.

Now let’s talk about the update issue——

well.

It’s hard to be nervous. The feeling of degenerating from a code machine to a primitive person is like a person who has always used his mouth to drink water and suddenly loses his mouth. I will try my best to adjust it and restore the daily update first before talking about anything else.
