A magical journey that begins in Azkaban
Chapter 107 Cliffs of Dover
In an unknown wizarding tavern in northern England, the dim environment provides hidden cover for wizards of unknown origin. Fletcher sat in the corner and sipped his beer, raising his head from time to time and scanning the surroundings vigilantly.
An owl stumbled over and landed on the wine table. Fletcher quickly opened the letter to check it, quickly put on his hood and disappeared into the darkness.
As soon as Fletcher left, a wizard walked out of the fireplace. He whispered excitedly: "Did you hear that the Travis family has issued a reward?"
"Reward?" Everyone looked at him curiously, wanting to know the price of the reward.
"10,000 gold galleons, as long as we can catch Fletcher!"
"Fletch? That supplier of rare treasures?"
"Hahaha, what kind of supplier is he just a thief?" The dark wizard, who knew Fletcher well, laughed and looked at the wine table where he usually sat.
"Fletch, when did you become worth so much?"
The wine table was empty, no one responded, only an oak wine glass was placed on the table.
"Hey, it seems that the reward you mentioned is true. I didn't expect that this guy Fletcher really stole an incredible treasure."
"If you want me to agree, we should share the treasure together." A wizard said with a cruel smile.
The wizards in the tavern exchanged tacit glances and left in a hurry. Based on their knowledge of Fletcher, they searched for his whereabouts.
The white cliffs of Dover seem to have been slashed by a sharp sword. The cliff walls are vertical and smooth, and the waves crash from time to time, making loud rumbling sounds.
There was a man on the edge of the cliff wearing black tattered clothes, carrying a wooden stick, and a rusty iron bucket at his feet. It seemed that he was a beggar, but I don't know who he was begging for on this deserted cliff.
"Quick! Martin, let me leave!" Fletcher hurried over and pulled him anxiously.
He has been wanted by the entire British magical community, and Rogge has also posted a high reward in the underground world. If he stayed, he would surely end up like lice on a bald head, obviously caught.
But the official floo network and portkeys no longer work, and it is impossible to find legal departure documents. The only way is to ask Martin in front of him for help and use his unregistered portkey to leave the UK.
"Fletch?" Martin smiled meaningfully and whispered the spell: "Just stretch your legs."
He patted Fletcher on the shoulder and told him to calm down: "We have one minute to go, don't panic."
"Can't we hurry up!" Fletcher looked at the vibrating iron barrel under his feet and wished he could pick it up and run away now.
"Ha, my dear old man, this is the fastest way. But you have to pay first."
"Here, 30 Galleons." Fletcher took out his old wallet, but Martin didn't take it.
"Old man, it's not 30! Let me do the math..." Martin pushed away Fletcher's hand and whispered: "30 is the travel fee, 20 is the confidentiality fee. There is also five thousand Galleons for your bounty. "
"So, you have to give me five thousand and fifty galleons."
"What!" Fletcher screamed, took out his wand and looked at Martin warily, "You...how did you know that I was put on a bounty!"
When Martin saw that Fletcher couldn't afford the smuggling fee, he immediately stopped the iron barrel under his feet.
"Of course I told him, my dear supplier of rare treasures." A familiar voice appeared behind him. Bo Jin stepped out of the invisibility state and took off his mask to reveal his rickety figure.
"Don't forget, I introduced you to Martin."
"Bojin, you betrayed me!" Fletcher roared angrily, waving his wand as if to kill him.
Bo Jin was unmoved, watching his performance quietly, watching him try to escape using phantom movement.
"What's going on!" Fletcher was shocked and realized that Borgin had set a counter-spell early, and he had nowhere to escape.
"Fletch, how can we say betrayal between us?" Bojinbok followed the lead and looked like a well-intentioned magic businessman.
"Put down your wand and come back with me. When the legal process is completed, you will regain your freedom. Since we are so familiar, I will give you 2,000 Galleons as compensation when the time comes. How about it? Our friendship You can still continue.”
"Bojin, don't forget our agreement." Martin hit the ground with a wooden stick to remind him.
"Of course I won't forget it, but we agreed that it depends on Mr. Fletcher's choice." Bo Jin looked at Fletcher and was in no hurry to take action.
"Fletch, we are all old friends, and I still have this credibility. If you think the money is too little, I can give you some more."
"Hmph, if I want money, why don't I just go to Rogge and surrender? In this case, all ten thousand Galleons will be mine!" Fletcher sneered, getting ready for battle.
"So, we can't reach an agreement?" Bo Jin sighed regretfully, and suddenly shot a stun spell from his sleeve.
"Expelliarmus!" Fletcher immediately shot back.
…
The two of them went back and forth, casting spells everywhere, but none of them hit them. Martin stood aside and looked at their embarrassed appearance, shaking his head in disappointment.
People who don't know better think that the two of them are nimble in movement and superb in spells, but in fact they are just noobs pecking each other and wild dogs butting heads.
"You two are just low-level rookies!" He said, walking up behind Fletcher and knocking him out with a stick.
"You...you should have helped me earlier." Bo Jin gasped. He was so tired after not fighting for a long time that he almost collapsed. He gave Fletch a tight restraint and tied him into a knot.
"Help you? Bo Jin, this will affect my reputation, and business will be difficult in the future."
"Business? Huh, have your portkeys been registered with the Ministry of Magic?" Borgin pointed at the iron bucket, took out a bulging money bag and threw it over.
That's not a money bag, that's your own heart, your own flesh! Martin's stick just now knocked away half of the reward, and Bo Jin had to pay it first! This man's heart is darker than that of the Dark Lord. After all, the Dark Lord himself had squeezed him!
"Damn it, I shouldn't have let you take action!" Bo Jin cursed, put a hood on Fletcher, and kicked him twice angrily.
"Okay, old guy. If I hadn't taken action in time, I don't know how many years and months you would have fought." Martin shook his head, as if to say that he had seen some good people, but never such a good one.
Bo Jin lost his temper due to his attitude. He knew that his level of magic spells was not high, and he was worried that the other party would take advantage of him, so he quickly left with Fletcher on his back.
Now all the wizards in the magic world are looking for Fletcher, and I don't dare to carry him around. Even Diagon Alley isn't safe. In front of ten thousand Galleons, the Aurors would definitely rush over immediately and show everyone the execution of justice.
For his own money, Borgin threw Fletcher into a sack, then threw him into the basement of the store and locked him up.
He changed into decent-looking clothes and pushed away the Flash Golem room. The bell behind the door rang a clear sound, and a brightly colored parrot stood on a perch hanging on the counter.
Seeing the visitor, the parrot shouted happily: "Welcome, welcome!"
"Linggua, you said the right thing this time, come and eat one." Sophie fed it some snacks, and the little one flapped its wings happily.
"Is Young Master Travis here?" Bo Jin looked at everything in front of him with envy. The store was spacious and bright, and the camera and lens were shining with a dull light. Customers lined up to take out their wallets with golem paper and developer water in hand.
"Look at these grips. They are made of a whole piece of dragon skin. It's so luxurious." Bo Jin looked at the price on the label and exclaimed. How many black magic items did he have to sell to afford it?
This is still a basic camera, and with the dazzling array of lenses, Bo Jin feels like a poor man.
"Are you Boss Bojin?" Sophie was a little scared and took out her wand and pointed it at him for the first time.
She looked at the other person warily. This was the black magic merchant from Knockturn Alley next door, a black wizard through and through. How should I face him as a fledgling self?
"Miss, I don't mean any harm at all, please rest assured!" Bo Jin quickly took a few steps back and spread his hands to show his friendliness.
He showed what he thought was a kind smile, but it made Sophie even more frightened.
Thank you book friend for the reward!
