A magical journey that begins in Azkaban

Chapter 140 Barbara’s Thoughts

"You can't do anything, but you still want to pursue my Fleur? Humph, you're just wishful thinking." Barbara said, looking at the Moon Mirror Hall, "Jessica, how much did it cost to repair this manor?"

Jessica was stunned. It seemed that the 500,000 Galleons given to Rogge had not been spent. But facing Barbara, one cannot say that the cost is so cheap.

"I don't know, anyway, it's a place where no one comes back to live. Look around, they are all cheap handicrafts, without any cultural charm."

"Hey, that's true. In terms of culture, it has to be France. I'll be your guest another day and give you some Merovingian manuscripts and wine glasses."

Roger stood on the steps and looked at the guests below. Sisters Hermione and Daphne were chatting together, and Neville sat on the sofa with his grandma carrying food. In a remote corner of the hall, there was actually Snape who had changed into a new robe. Oh my gosh, he actually washed his hair! Hey, Percy from the Weasley family is here too?

"Distinguished guests, on behalf of the Travis family, I would like to sincerely thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to attend the opening dinner of the manor. We welcome every wizard to visit. I hope you all have a wonderful evening and wish you good health , the magic will flourish forever!”

Rogge snapped his fingers, and the lights in the entire hall dimmed. A soft music played, and Celestina Warbeck slowly walked down from above, dragging her silver-white skirt.

Oh, my poor heart, where has it gone?

It left me, enchanted.

"Jessica, you actually invited Celina!" Barbara hugged Jessica, her eyes following the graceful figure on the steps.

"Teacher! Why didn't you tell me that you were here?" Roger held the wine glass and ran towards Snape.

"Is it necessary? Or do you think I can't find a way?" Snape said coldly.

He is no longer the high-spirited half-blood prince he once was, standing silently in the corner of the banquet, choosing to enjoy solitude. Of course, it would be better if Roger didn't come to destroy this tranquility.

After sending Roger away, Snape quietly listened to Celestina's singing. This was the first time he listened to the song "You Steal My Heart with Magic", and he couldn't help but be moved by the melody.

Snape listened to the melodious singing and recalled that summer.

In the industrial ruins of northern England, he became low self-esteem and indifferent because of his violent father. That summer, he met Lily Evans, a Muggle girl.

He told Lily himself that she was not a freak, she was a witch. Snape looked down at the cloak he was wearing, a Christmas gift from Roger. It was very beautiful, but at that time I only had rags to wear.

One encounter destined his life. His original life was filled with a broken family, but it was Lily who made him understand that the future journey was full of hope.

"Why?" Snape asked himself in a low voice, tears hanging from the corners of his eyes.

"Why are they bullying me? Just because I'm not a pure-blood wizard?"

Snape didn't like Slytherin, which was always full of interests and ambitions. He reflected inwardly and did not feel that he lacked courage, perseverance, and loyalty. He was just afraid that James Potter would take Lily away and had to find a way to become a hero.

James is a pureblood and so rich. He was the star of the school, and all the witches cheered for him on the Quidditch field.

"Am I wrong?" Celina's singing voice rose higher and higher, but Snape's tears fell on the floor and broke into countless water droplets.

"You chose your way, I chose mine."

Snape remembered what Lily had said to him, and she asked herself: "What difference do I make in your eyes?"

"I..." Snape couldn't help himself. Countless words were stuffed in his heart and he was still unable to speak. He closed his eyes, hot tears falling.

In 1976, Snape left Hogwarts. His heart was broken into pieces and stabbed into his body by the love between Lily and James.

"Don't worry Lily, I will protect Harry with my life."

In the corner of the Moon Mirror Hall, a heartbroken man solemnly said his promise again.

After Celina finished singing, the magic light source in the hall turned on again. Everyone gave her warm and sincere applause for her singing.

"Hello, Percy." Roger greeted curiously, not knowing how the Gryffindor prefect came in.

"Oh, Roger, if you're not welcome..." Percy said, taking out the invitation.

"No, no, no, the visitor is a guest."

"Thank you!" Percy breathed a sigh of relief. It would be such a shame to be kicked out by the host of the banquet.

"Aunt Muriel sent us the invitation letter from the Prewett family." Percy explained quickly.

"I think this lady must love you very much."

"Of course, she comes to spend Christmas with us every year." Percy nodded, and when he talked about Aunt Muriel, he slowly relaxed.

Roger heard that he came to the banquet without telling the whole family, and he admired Percy's courage.

"How will you explain it when you go back? I heard that your family has a magical clock that can show the location of each family member."

"This..." Percy was surprised that Roger knew so much. He really didn't think about it when he came. I bought this second-hand dress with my own money, but will my family believe it when I go back?

"Anyway, there are still a few days, so why not go hide in Godric's Hollow for a while. I think Ms. Muriel will only have solitude for company when she lives there."

"Thank you." Percy thanked him sincerely. He found that Roger was not difficult to contact. As long as they don't confront him, he treats everyone peacefully.

"Please enjoy the banquet tonight, and please bear with me if there are any inconveniences. If you are interested in the Ministry of Magic after graduation, many people here will become your seniors."

After Roger saw through his mind, Percy smiled sheepishly. Roger didn't think Percy's choice to come to the dinner was a mistake. Everyone has the right to choose, as long as he takes the corresponding responsibility.

"Roger, isn't that Prefect Percy?" Hermione looked over there curiously.

"Well, he received the invitation."

"Oh?" Daphne was a little surprised. It was very rare for the Weasley family to come to such an occasion.

After a while, Malfoy and Neville also came around. Only then did Rogge find out that her aunt, Susan Bones, who had given him directions, was actually Amelia, the Auror leader. Well, I just complained to Delis about this director a while ago, who asked her to support the new Muggle protection law.

The wizards in the Moon Mirror Hall chatted in pairs. There was nothing more convenient for everyone to communicate their feelings than a banquet.

But smart people can quickly see clearly the communication centers, including Minister Fudge and Malfoy. Since Dumbledore was away, wizards who disagreed with their ideas could only go to Snape in the corner. After a minute or two, they wandered around the hall in some embarrassment. The witches gathered around Celina, who was more popular than Lockhart.

The little wizards were around Rogge, chatting about interesting things about their summer vacation, exclaiming and laughing from time to time.

"Jessica, it seems that Roger is very popular." Barbara noticed that side and looked at her two daughters who were following her.

"There is no way, a child who is too outstanding can always be as attractive as the sun."

"Tch..." Barbara snorted coldly, "How about exchanging your son with my daughter?"

"What a beautiful idea, this is the only son I have!"

"What about the engagement?"

"Your daughter?" Jessica turned around and looked at Fleur and Gabrielle. Gabrielle was too young to understand what it meant, while Fleur blushed and lowered her head.

"The big one is too big, the small one is too small. It doesn't fit."

"Oh, Jessica. Even if Gabrielle is too young, what's wrong with my Fleur?"

"They're all good, but there's no point in asking me." Jessica shrugged, not wanting to choose randomly after graduation based on her son's conditions.

"Let them make their own decisions about the children. He is still the head of the Travis family. You go and talk to him." Jessica stared at Barbara, as if to say: I don't have a problem with her, I have a problem with you. Opinion.

"Hmph, just go."

Jessica was also shocked by Barbara, and she dragged Fleur over there. This Barbara is still as annoying as before.

"Hey, Roger, can you show my Fleur around?" Barbara pushed Fleur over without any explanation, and her aggressive temper was clearly visible.

"Ah?" Rogge was stunned and turned to his mother. Seeing that Jessica was helpless, she had no choice but to nod.

"Okay, actually many places in the manor are very interesting. Do you want to come together?" Rogge gave Malfoy a look, and the guy immediately responded.

"Really? Then take us to see it quickly!" Malfoy quickly answered, completely defeating Barbara's purpose.

A group of little wizards ran out happily, and Fleur led her sister to follow with Barbara in her eyes.

"Is it interesting?" Jessica stared at her.

"Jessica, why are we sisters talking about this? I heard that your Flash Golem House has opened in France. Why don't you consider our Delacour family..."

Uh, mine! Yesterday I divided Snape into this chapter. For the sake of thousands of dollars, please forgive me...T.T
