A magical journey that begins in Azkaban
Chapter 43 Left Alone
He walked down, pulled a stool and sat in front of Harry, "Put your hands down, silly girl."
No one knew why he stared into Harry's eyes, as if he wanted to test the little Gryffindor's courage, or to dig out those eyes and preserve them forever with a potion.
The result obviously disappointed Snape, and Harry looked at him without giving in. He never lacked courage, and even had too much courage.
"Professor, this is unfair!" Before Snape could continue to speak, Ron defended his friend's injustice: "Why is it that Slytherin's points are not deducted for being late too!"
He pointed at Roger lying next to Daphne, and asked Snape, who had a cold expression on his face: "Even...even sleeping there blatantly!"
Daphne nudged Roger, well, she had expected that she wouldn't be able to wake him up.
Snape shook his head and stood up, his sharp eyes piercing Ron's face like a knife, and then said calmly: "Courage without thinking is the same as stupidity."
"For questioning the professor in public, five points will be deducted from Gryffindor." Snape's deduction of points made the little lions filled with anger, and even Hermione stared at him.
"I'm not convinced!" Although Ron was afraid of Snape's terrifying aura, he still mustered up the courage to shout, "I'm not wrong. I don't believe he can answer these three questions!"
Hermione couldn't help rolling her eyes after hearing this. Based on her understanding of Rogge, these things were not difficult at all.
"If you ask so." Snape walked up to Rogge and sniffed it with his nose: "The smell of dragon's blood and moonflower dew."
"Restore vitality." He chanted a spell and transferred his energy to the sleeping Rogge.
"Roger!"
In Daphne's surprised eyes, Roger woke up automatically.
"Is get out of class over?" Rogge looked around and found Daphne signaling that the dean was looking at him.
Snape's face was dark and smelly, and Rogge was shocked: "Hey, what are you looking at me for? Don't you have a deep grudge against Harry?"
Of course, Rogge didn't dare to say this, he could only think about it in his heart. Snape took a deep breath and repeated the three questions.
"The flower language of narcissus is love, and the flower language of mugwort is pain. If you add narcissus root powder to mugwort infusion, you can get a very powerful sleeping pill, also called water of life and death."
Hearing Rogge's answer, Hermione was a little confused. Why did the potion involve the language of flowers?
"Bezoar is an antidote. You can find it in the stomach of a cow. As for Aconitum scapularis and Aconitum wolfsbane." Rogge looked at Snape's increasingly unfriendly expression and simulated it in his mind in advance.
【1】You told Snape that there was no difference between the two, and Snape said nothing;
【2】You were left alone by Snape after class, and Snape tutored you in potions.
…(simulation stopped)
Realizing that nothing happened, Roger shrugged and said the correct answer: "No difference. They are slender, upright and poisonous perennial herbs. The flowers can be used to make potions and the leaves are highly poisonous."
Looking at the stiff face of his dean, Rogge smiled and asked without fear: "Dean, is this a puzzle?"
"Five points for Slytherin. Now, why don't you write it down!" Snape didn't even scold him, leaving Roger to sit there lifelessly yawning.
"Roger, you are so awesome." Daphne looked at him with admiration, and the dean actually gave him extra points.
Rogge smiled and didn't explain much. His current state was really uncomfortable. Snape channeled his energy into himself, keeping him awake. But his spirit was very exhausted, causing his whole body to be in a state of life and death.
When Ron heard the other party's perfect answer, his face was as ugly as a toad, and he became even more hostile to Slytherin. But thinking of his brothers' warnings, it was difficult for him to muster the courage to stand up and question again.
Potions class in first grade is very simple, especially the first class which is all about the basics. After Snape finished talking about the processing of medicinal materials and the use of the crucible, he asked the little wizard to complete a potion to cure boils.
"Dried nettles, crushed snake fangs, slugs..." Except for Rogge and Malfoy, almost all the students had been criticized.
However, he simply ignored Rogge and only stood behind Malfoy to let everyone see how perfect his operation was.
Rogge lay on the table bored, deeply resentful of Snape's curse of not practicing martial ethics. He supported his head with his left hand and waved his wand casually. An extremely simple potion to treat boils was enough.
Daphne glanced at him and felt that partnering with Rogge was a complete failure: "You are not allowed to take action this time, I will do it myself!"
"Hiss, hiss..." A loud voice suddenly came from behind. Rogge turned his head and looked over. Seamus's crucible was emitting acidic green smoke.
The cauldron had long been removed from the fire, but the porcupine quills still lay on the table.
"Hey, Neville must have forgotten to put the porcupine quills in."
As expected, the cauldron was burned into a ball by the strong reaction of the potion, and fell to the ground, spilling the potion inside.
As the person involved, Neville was doused. He was covered in boils, even in his ears and nostrils. His painful wails echoed throughout the classroom.
"Poor kid." Roger sighed, "Neville is the least suitable for this class."
Potions is a precise art, and the slightest difference can make a huge difference. With Neville's forgetfulness, refining the potion was torture.
"What are you doing standing still? Send him to the infirmary!" Snape roared at Seamus, waving his wand and sweeping away the potion on the ground.
"Look, someone has already done it, and you can't even use the crucible." Snape unsurprisingly made Roger a role model, or more accurately, a target.
He looked at Rogge's playful smile and felt that this student knew something: "Next class, you and Neville will be paired up."
He turned to Harry and asked in a questioning voice, "Why didn't you warn them?"
Unsurprisingly, Gryffindor was deducted 1 point. As for the reason, with all due respect: Does Snape need a reason to target Harry? Don't need it? do you need? unnecessary!
So Mr. Dear Savior divided his grievances into three streams, with Snape and Malfoy occupying most of them, and Rogge was also unlucky to take the blame.
Snape walked back to the podium angrily. He had never seen such a stupid little wizard. The atmosphere in the classroom became increasingly depressing. When the bell rang, the little wizards rushed towards the entrance of the dungeon as if they were running away.
"Roger Travis stays." Snape's voice came faintly from behind.
Daphne and Hermione gave him a wishful look and waved their hands as if saying goodbye.
"Dragon's blood and moonflower dew. In the entire magical world, only blue moonflower can use these two materials at the same time." Snape wrote something on the parchment and said without looking back.
"Dean, you guessed it right." Rogge complained about his dog nose in his heart, and looked at Snape dissatisfied: "In this case, why do you need to restore vitality to me?"
"Do you think it's appropriate to sleep in class?" Snape asked coldly.
Rogge nodded helplessly, and of course he admitted that sleeping in class was indeed inappropriate. But the potions class in the first year was just like that. It was good to be able to attend the class.
"The recipe for blue moonflower is available in many places, but there are only a handful of potion masters who can prepare it."
He said almost in a commanding tone, "Take it out and let me see it."
Rogge had no choice but to take out the blue moonlight from his arms. The silver-blue liquid was intoxicating no matter how many times he saw it.
"Extremely high degree of completion." Snape praised, swaying his shoulder-length hair behind him, his scrutinizing eyes constantly roaming between Rogge and the potion.
"Make it." Snape threw over a 4-foot-long piece of parchment, and Roger glanced at it, which was all about potions. Yes, this is a test paper handwritten by Snape.
