A treasure-appraisal maniac

Chapter 2047 Calm down and calm down

Coming to the British Museum, Murray was full of pride.

But as soon as he developed a sense of superiority, Lu Fei immediately slapped him back.

Coupled with Long Yun and Wade sniggering on the sidelines, Murray was simply depressed to death.

Damn it!

As a direct member of the Thomas family, when have you ever experienced such cowardice?

If he hadn't asked Lu Fei for help, Murray would have turned against him long ago.

But now he not only has to tolerate it, but also flatters Lu Fei against his will. This feeling is really terrible.

Lu Fei didn't consider Murray's feelings at all and continued shopping.

Arriving at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, Lu Fei stepped in.

The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities is divided into two museums: mummies and Egyptian architecture. It is one of the largest thematic exhibition halls in the museum.

Exhibited here are large-scale stone carvings of humans and animals, temple buildings, numerous mummies, inscriptions and murals, engraved stone vessels and gold jewelry.

Its exhibits can be traced back to more than 5,000 years ago, with a collection of more than 100,000 items.

These include ancient Egyptian art that British naval commander Nelson seized from French King Napoleon in the 19th century.

Not to mention the objects hidden in the snow, the museums in Egypt may not be as comprehensive as the ones on display.

Speaking of which, it is really sad!

The same tragedy is far beyond Egypt.

India, Rome, and island nations all suffered greatly.

The biggest sufferer among them is China.

Exhibition Hall 33 of the British Museum is a permanent exhibition hall dedicated to displaying Chinese cultural relics.

Along with the ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, ancient Rome and India exhibition halls, it is one of only a few national exhibition halls in the museum.

The collection of Chinese cultural relics in this museum covers the entire art category of China, in one word.

Ancient stone tools, bronzes of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, stone Buddhist scriptures of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, calligraphy and paintings of the Tang and Song dynasties, and porcelain of the Ming and Qing dynasties are engraved with various cultural relics in China’s history.

All the national treasures that have reached their peak can be seen here, and the categories are complete and beautiful.

"Picture of Proverbs of a Female History" is the earliest surviving Chinese silk painting and one of the earliest works of professional Chinese painters that can still be seen.

It is a milestone in the history of Chinese art and has always been a treasure collected by the palaces of all dynasties.

Previously, the archaeological community believed that there were only two copies left in the world, one of which was made by the Song Dynasty and was collected by the Palace Museum. The brushwork and color were not of the highest quality.

The other one is this facsimile in the British Museum.

It was originally collected by the Qing Palace and was a favorite on the desk of Emperor Qianlong, hidden in the Old Summer Palace.

In 1860, the British and French forces invaded Tiandu City, and the British captain Ji Yong obtained it from China and took it abroad.

It was collected by the British Museum in 1903 for only twenty-five pounds. It became the most important oriental cultural relic in the museum. It is no exaggeration to call it the "treasure of the museum".

However, this scroll is only displayed to the public for two months a year.

Other masterpieces include "Green Landscape" by Tang Dynasty painter Li Sixun, the ancestor of the "Beizong", "Maolin Mountains" by Ju Ran, a representative of the Jiangnan School of the Five Dynasties, and "Carrying Mountains" by Fan Kuan, one of the three famous landscape painters in the Northern Song Dynasty. "Visiting Friends", "Huayan in Disguise" by Li Gonglin, a famous painter of the Northern Song Dynasty, and "Ink Bamboo Picture" by Su Shi, one of the eight great masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties.

In addition, there are bronze double sheep statues from the Shang Dynasty, bronze guis from Kanghou of the Western Zhou Dynasty, guis from the Marquis of Xing, jade dragons from the Han Dynasty, yellow jade sitting dogs from the Tang Dynasty, ten volumes of "Yongle Dadian", etc.

On the central wall of the Divine Hall, there is a 17.2-square-meter mural from Qingliang Temple in Xingtang County, Zhili. Although its cut marks are still visible, it cannot conceal its age-old beauty and the grace and splendor of the three "rich, rich and fat" Bodhisattvas.

The British Museum has tens of thousands of Dunhuang paintings and scriptures collected as national treasures. Except for four silk paintings and a wooden Buddha, the other collections are difficult to find in the China Hall.

Look for traces.

From 1856 to 1932, a number of so-called "Western explorers" penetrated into the northwest region of China more than 60 times in the name of scientific expeditions, and each time they looted a large number of documents and cultural relics.

Among them, the Hungarian Stein and the Frenchman Pelliot looted the most cultural relics from the Dunhuang Scripture Cave in 1907.

The British Library also contains more than 60,000 precious Chinese documents and ancient books, including the earliest version of the Chinese Paramita Buddhist Sutra, as well as oracle bone fragments, bamboo slips, carved ancient books, Dunhuang scriptures and maps.

However, what is shown here is just the tip of the iceberg.

There are countless Chinese treasures in stock or hidden in the snow.

Those treasures were all looted, but due to multiple pressures and changes in international law, they could not be shown to others.

However, these are indisputable facts, and even if they don't admit it, they can't change it.

This is a bloody shame.

When visiting the Shenzhou Pavilion, Lu Fei's face became more and more gloomy. In the end, his fists clenched so hard that Caroline turned pale with fear.

Suddenly, Lu Fei burst out laughing, which immediately confused everyone.

"Fei, why are you laughing?" Wade asked.

"hehe!"

"I just thought of something funny."

"What's going on? Can we share it with you?" Wade asked.

Lu Fei looked at the three of Murray Wade and said lightly.

"Although I still don't understand what that knife means to you."

"But for sure, it must be very important."

"As for how important it is, I still have no idea."

"Murray, do you think it's important that that thing is as valuable as the treasures in this exhibition hall?"

Looking into Lu Fei's eyes, Murray couldn't help but take a breath of air.

"hehe!"

"Mr. Lu Fei is joking. There is no comparison between the two." Murray said.

"oh?"

"Why can't we compete?" Lu Fei said seriously.

"Mr. Lu Fei, all collections in the British Museum are owned by the state. It is absolutely impossible for personal transactions to occur."

"So I say there is no comparison between the two."

"hehe!"

"Murray, you misinterpreted what I meant. What I meant was value."

"I never thought about what I wanted before, but now I finally have an idea."

"oh?"

Hearing this, Wade and the other three's eyes suddenly lit up.

"Fei, have you thought about it?"

"If you think about it, tell me and I will try my best to meet all your requirements." Wade said.

Long Yun directly pulled Wade aside, put his arm around Lu Fei's shoulders and said, "Brother, the last time you traded with Wade, I was depressed for several days."

"Even if it's my turn this time, it's my turn, right?"

Murray simply took Lu Fei's arm.

"Mr. Lu Fei, you have also seen the sincerity and strength of our family."

“This is our homeland, and there’s a lot of substance that you can see with your own eyes.”

"I think giving priority to trading with us is the most appropriate choice."

Caroline was not expecting the sudden reaction of these people.

Quietly step aside and watch what happens.

Lu Fei chuckled and said, "I really doubt it, is it my sword or me that you are interested in?"

"Why are you all so excited about Daodao?"

"Just now I said I had some clues, but I wasn't sure."

"So, you three can calm down."
