Chapter 43 Castle Adventure

After dinner, the two met to explore the castle. Lina and her servants mainly lived in the east part of the castle, while the west part was where debris was stored.

"Xie Zuozuo, I'm afraid." Lina leaned closely to Jie Zuo's side and hugged Jie Zuo's neck with her hands, her expression so full that she didn't see much fear.

"This is your home, what are you afraid of?"

"But, but I don't come and go to the west often." Lina said aggrievedly.

Jie Zuo, holding a lantern and a baseball bat stuck behind his back, was speechless: "But we haven't even gone out to the restaurant now, what are you afraid of?"

"Oh, yes. Hehe." Lina knocked her little head.

The head maid was leading the maids to clean the house. Watching the two people playing tricks, they thought to themselves: "Do boys now like girls who pretend to be stupid like this? No wonder I have never been able to find a boyfriend."

After walking through a long corridor, we arrived at the castle on the west side. Xie Zuo was holding a lamp in one hand and a baseball bat in the other, with Lina hanging behind him. It was very difficult to walk step by step.

"I said, can you get off my back? We won't be able to complete the rotation at this speed until dawn!"

"No!" Lina buried her face on Jie Zuo's back and refused to come down.

"There is a chicken in the left hand, a duck in the right hand, and a fat baby on the back..." Jie Zuo's singing voice was hoarse and unpleasant, with almost no words in tune.

"Okay, I'm coming down." Even Lina couldn't stand Jie Zuo's singing, so she stuck out her tongue and got off Jie Zuo's back.

Compared with the east part, the west part has not been decorated, and the original style of the castle is more obvious.

Large blocks of blue bricks, deep corridors with slightly rough ground, and torches inserted into the walls all gave Jie Zuo the feeling of dreaming back to the Middle Ages. It's just that the torch lost its lighting function and was replaced by a chandelier hanging from the top.

"Lina, what did your ancestor do?"

"I don't know. Our family doesn't have a genealogy that records family history."

"Oh~~That's very strange."

"A family has a family tradition." Lina said nonchalantly. For Lina, as long as they reconcile and work together, they can do anything.

"Xie Zuo, I feel the energy fluctuations of alchemy here, be careful." The lantern in his hand startled Xie Zuo, and he really jumped up.

Lina, who was holding Xie Zuo's arm, was brought down by Jie Zuo who suddenly jumped up. Jie Zuo helped Lina up with some embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, Lina-chan."

"It's okay, Mr. Xie Zuo, did you discover anything just now?" Lina asked, patting the dirt on her body.

"Well, I thought of something." Jie Zuo said with a serious expression.

"What did you think of?" Lina looked around nervously.

"When I say please ignore me, do I want you to ignore me or notice me." Jie Zuo asked Lina with a serious expression.

"Oh~~ I must be ignoring you."

"No, the purpose of my words is to make you listen to me, but what I say is please ignore me."

"Oh~~" Lina scratched her head: "But does this have anything to do with this expedition?"

"Hey, hey, no, I just remembered it suddenly." Jie Zuo stuck out his tongue.

After starting again, Jie Zuo said to Deng Ying: "Don't come out suddenly and scare me. (Literal meaning)"

"Okay, but is there an answer to the question you just asked? Do you want to notice me or ignore me?" Dengying asked.

"You're really bored and think about it by yourself." Jie Zuoyi rolled his eyes.

The castle was very big, and the two walked along the corridor for a while and finally saw the first room.

The door to the room is still wooden, with a large bronze lock on it.

"Would you like to go in and take a look?" Jie Zuo encouraged.

"This is not good." Lina hesitated.

"What's wrong? Don't you want to know what's inside? And this is your home, so what are you afraid of?" Jie Zuo's expression was already eager to try.

"Okay." Lina reluctantly agreed.

"Okay, please do it." Xie Zuo took off the baseball bat behind him and fired at the bronze lock. It's a pity that the lock is intact. Although the lock looks like it has been around for a long time, it is still strong.

"Let me give it a try." Lina took the baseball bat from her left hand and used a force to crack the bronze lock into pieces.

The stunned Jie Zuo looked at Lina who was rubbing her head in embarrassment: "You... it must be because I broke the lock just now and you just happened to do it by chance."

"Yes." Lina defended Jie Zuo's small self-esteem.

Hearing what Lina said, Jie Zuo suddenly felt that he could do it again, and ignored the "tsk" sound of the lantern.

Because no one opened the door for a long time, Jie Zuo made a tooth-breaking "crunch" sound when he pushed the door open.

Inside was a square room, which was completely dark without lights. There were several large suitcases piled up in the corner. They looked very old, but there was nothing else.

Jie Zuo was holding a lantern, and Lina stayed behind Jie Zuo. The two walked into the room cautiously.

The light from the lantern was still dim orange, which made Jie Zuo feel relieved.

"Menyouping, use your long fingers to open the box and take a look. Be careful that there are rice dumplings inside."

"Huh?" Lina was stunned for a moment before she realized that Zuo was calling her.

The aggrieved Lina came out from behind Xie Zuo and turned back to the edge of the box step by step.

There was no lock on the box, so Lina opened the box easily, causing Lina to cough due to the dust.

Jie Zuo came forward with a lantern and found that the box was full of strange things - weird helmets, clothes in torn strips, and some jars with unknown contents.

After rummaging for a while, Jie Zuo lost interest and went to open other boxes.

The other boxes were all filled with clothes, nothing noteworthy.

"Why don't you have any underworld weapon? It's really unlucky."

Lina was already immune to the strange words that came out of Jie Zuo's mouth: "Xie Zuo, can we go? I feel a little uncomfortable in the atmosphere here."

"It's all an illusion. You saw it wrong. Let's go and have a look in another room."

Just when Jie Zuo and the two left the room, a pale face emerged from a pile of tattered clothes in a box that had not been rummaged through.

Lina broke the locks in the remaining rooms. Jie Zuo did not admit that he could not break them, and insisted that he had not eaten enough tonight.

Like the first room, there is nothing in these rooms, and some rooms are simply empty.

"Bang bang bang" Lina's sound of smashing the lock spread far in the silent corridor.

The rooms on the first floor were quickly explored, and at the end was a stone staircase going up.

"Ah!" Jie Zuo was looking up the stairs when he heard a scream from Lina behind him.

"What? What did you see?"

"I...I saw a white shadow running past." Lina said tremblingly.

"Oh! Here it comes, the ghost lady finally appears." Jie Zuo started to get inexplicably excited.
