In the land of extreme rain, in the vast and boundless ocean, Xi'er and Little Snake were traveling rapidly on a small wooden boat across the rolling waves.

Since Xi'er has water-based abilities, their driving does not require ordinary manpower to swing the oars.

They discussed with each other the knowledge and insights they gained from Shuique Immortal Platform.

"Little Snake, do you know why I want you to talk about your feelings?" Xi'er asked.

The little snake shook his head.

"Because I want to know more." Xi'er continued with a smile: "For example, if we read the same book, we will find that each other's thoughts and perceptions are different. Of course, there may also be some similarities.

This is because there are differences in life experiences between you and me. Generally speaking, we have different perspectives, which leads to different ideas."

The so-called three views refer to the world outlook, outlook on life and values.

Seeing the little snake nod, Xi'er continued: "So, my purpose is very clear, that is to absorb ideas from many aspects, extract their essence, learn from others' strengths, and make progress through communication with others."

"Well, miss, I have something to say." The little snake was in trouble.

"You say." Xi'er agreed.

"Miss, to tell you the truth, when I traveled through time to see Xuan Boyi, I just stood aside and watched. After all, my knowledge is limited and I can't help you much." Little Snake said awkwardly.

"It's like, like..." the little snake hesitated.

"Don't worry about anything. I will listen carefully. You continue." Xi'er motioned to the little snake to continue.

"Just like, Miss, if you and I read the same book, I may not be able to understand that book because I don't know much about it. To me, the content in that book seems obscure and boring.

Words prevent me from understanding anything." Little Snake finished awkwardly.

"this……"

After hearing what Little Snake said, Xi'er felt embarrassed and didn't know what to do.

Indeed, if a person cannot understand the profound truths contained in the sentences in the book, he will only feel that reading is a waste of time; or there is another possibility, that is, he has read a book and is not capable of reading it.

Foreign language books are like asking a child who has never gone to school to read the text, but this child can only barely understand the pictures in the book.

It's really hard to force someone to do it.

But the little snake's next words gave Xi'er hope again.

"Miss, for some reason, every time I see someone leave from Xuan Boyi as if they have gained a treasure, with their eyes as bright as two suns, I feel curious and regretful, as if I am missing something very important.

, I really want it, but I don’t know how to get it.”

"Children can be taught. Just have this idea. I can let you get it." Xi'er looked at the little snake with bright eyes, confident.

"Thank you, miss."

After saying that, the little snake was about to prostrate himself, but was supported by Xi'er, "Hey, don't be like this, I can't bear your prostrations. It's what I taught you as you should."

"But……"

"No, but remember, I have never treated you as my slave. To me, you are a person. I treat you as my sister."

"Then can I call you sister from now on?" Little Snake asked.

"Okay." Xi'er nodded happily.

Xi'er has already thought about how to educate the little snake. She plans to use Xuan Boyi's teaching methods based on her own learning experience.

Xuan Boyi said:

Outside the boundary lies China, with its Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.

Education can be explained first, and Buddhism is Buddhism, which is the acquisition of the Eightfold Path;

Then you can use the darkness of the classics to understand the light and achieve supreme enlightenment. Only then can you become an enlightened person.

Awakened people practice Confucianism and have great responsibilities assigned to them by Heaven. Then they can enter the world and be self-disciplined to carry out the destiny of Heaven.

When your destiny is exhausted and you have no regrets in life, you can practice the Tao. Finally, you can live in seclusion and do nothing and not care about life and death. You can transform into the Tao.

This education method was summarized by Xuan Boyi, who said that the initial education should educate students to practice the Eightfold Path first. The so-called Eightfold Path includes right view, right thinking, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration.

.

Specifically, it means cultivating proper understanding, proper words and deeds, proper thoughts and ideas; and engaging in proper work, having a proper mission, being motivated, and then being firm and unswerving.

After learning the Eightfold Path, one begins to learn the Confucian way of actively participating in the world, shouldering one's destiny, and completing the responsibilities assigned by heaven. Until a person becomes old, weak, and unable to complete the responsibilities assigned by destiny, that is, it is time to learn Taoist inaction.

But you can live in seclusion in the mountains and forests, looking down on life and death. You no longer have the mind and strength to change every plant and tree in the world, and you have no regrets. After death, your spirit and body return to the natural world and transform into the Tao.

This is part of Xi'er's understanding of Xuan Boyi's education.

It's just that when Xi'er traveled through time, he saw Xuan Boyi in different periods, and found that Xuan Boyi's education methods were constantly enriched and improved during development.

Through continuous overthrow, inheritance, innovation and reconstruction, Xuan Boyi finally believed that Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism do not need to be prioritized in education. The three should be carried out simultaneously and perfectly combined so that students can make timely and effective decisions about their own lives.

Plan accordingly to avoid wasting your time.

Later, Xuan Boyi overturned his previous statement of wasting time. He believed that students need some confusion. Sometimes confusion can allow students to develop better, and sometimes they even need to be reasonably indulged to vent their own emotions.

Desire provides the necessary satisfaction for human nature and enables it to develop in an all-round way.

Therefore, it is still necessary to enjoy moderate entertainment.

These are the essence of what Xi'er realized after meeting Xuan Boyi in time travel. This is already a limit for the current Xi'er. After all, she still has too little experience and lacks a lot of emotional experience.

She was sure that when she recalled those scenes about Xuan Boyi in the future, she would understand more things.

Now considering that the little snake has direct experience of darkness, there is no need for book stimulation for the time being. The awakened little snake already has powerful positive energy.

Regarding the impact of books on the real world. Reading books can allow people to experience indirect dark experiences, and then generate strength, which can serve as a powerful thrust on the road to growth. A person who can read books and is good at using books is someone who can see the darkness in books.

, the heart becomes infinitely bright and powerful.

Those immortals and gods do not exist. Immortals and gods are either worshiped as gods after death, or they are the unknowable forces of nature - the way of heaven, the law of earth and water.

If there is a living person who claims to be a god, there are only three possibilities: either he is a liar, or he is his own god, or it is a joke made by others.

Those arrogant people who claim to be gods have just realized some truths, and then exaggeratedly call them the supreme mind, supreme enlightenment, supreme divine consciousness, etc. In fact, these truths are easy to understand, but they just need to be understood.

People who arrive always like to be secretive, pretend to be clever, complicate and mystify simple things. But they don’t know

After they realize these truths, they can be extremely excited at first, but then the reality makes them lose their sense of freshness and even become numb. In the end, they no longer have the slightest excitement and lose their original brightness, so that there is nothing left in their hearts.

A small candle flower exudes a faint light ball. Where did that feeling go?

Some people say that it is internalized and hidden in the heart; others say that human beings have developed a spiritual immunity to the truth. If you want to regain energy, you must be exposed to new things and read books on new themes. Only then can you have a second awakening; or actively join the world.

, complete the second awakening by solving real-life problems, and let the inner heart bloom with infinite light again.

Therefore, only after painstaking efforts have been made to obtain the truth, the truth will be regarded as a priceless treasure, otherwise it will be squandered and regarded as a joke.

Actively join the world.

In real life, people can control their own destiny, but they cannot control their own destiny. This statement seems contradictory, but in fact, when explained with philosophy, it is the unity of opposites without any contradiction. The main reason is the difference in real situations, such as God

On the battlefield on the Asian border

These soldiers who were killed all wanted to live, but when they were forced into a desperate situation, they would give it a try. They seemed unable to control their own destiny, but in fact, their destiny was still firmly in their hands. If they could not

If they want to survive, then they are willing to fight tooth and nail, even if they die in battle, their lives will not be in vain.

Destiny is the most difficult thing to control, and it is something that everyone must control. And one person can only control his own destiny.

Any attempt to dominate others is a joke. After all, human life is inherently fragile. If it is gone, it is gone. It is better to cherish it and let nature take its course.

The Taoist idea of "governing by doing nothing" refers to maintaining an ecological balance that is most conducive to human development without doing anything while following the laws of nature.

Outside the boundary, the Taoist Laozi said: "When the great righteousness is abolished, there is benevolence and righteousness; when wisdom arises, there is great hypocrisy; when relatives are in discord, there is filial piety and kindness; when the country is in chaos, there are loyal ministers."

This means that when this balance is lost, benevolence and righteousness will appear to maintain balance and stability; wisdom and wisdom will appear to be a bit hypocritical. It is very difficult to restore the balance at this time.

In this regard, Xuan Boyi combined many of the thoughts he absorbed at that time and summed it up by saying: Why is benevolence and righteousness only when the great road is in ruins? Why not make timely remedial and preventive measures when the great road is intact? Let the wisdom of benevolence and righteousness appear early to prevent problems.

Otherwise, to protect the balance of the road.

This means that benevolence, righteousness, and wisdom will not appear until things are urgent and the fire burns the buttocks; but when things are urgent and the fire burns the buttocks, benevolence, justice, and wisdom appear, which seems too late, even a little ridiculous, and basically difficult to understand.

To remedy the situation, we may even need to carry out rescue operations.

A thousand-mile embankment was destroyed by an ant nest.

When a problem first arises, it can be easily solved if it is dealt with in time; if it is not dealt with in time, it will be too late and it will become a disaster, and further treatment will only be of no avail.

Some people also believe that the so-called benevolence and righteousness can only exist after the destruction of the great road. If the great road is not good, then we have to pretend to be benevolent and righteous, but the effect is not effective. If God does not destroy the bad guys, then chivalrous people need to do justice for heaven.

Xi'er has understood the philosophy and can barely try to educate the little snake, connecting theory with practice and turning it into action.

She understands that sometimes, many people do not have a problem with their understanding, but have a wrong understanding, or deliberately distort the truth for their own benefit; or everyone has a different understanding.

When evil and corrupt people are in power, they will treat wisdom as bullshit and a scourge, treat gentlemen with benevolence and righteousness as cancer, and kill them as black sheep. They will be surrounded by the flattery of villains, leading to flaws in the road, and ultimately leading to disaster.

disaster.

If the gentleman is invited back at this time to restore the balance of the road, it will be difficult to save it; even if the heavens drop the curtain and save it; the people in power no longer need the gentleman, and killing the gentleman will make the same mistakes again. After all, the fundamental problem has not been solved.

, because new problems will appear one after another.

Wrong, wrong.

"This is the reason why Confucius failed! Mr. Kong actively joined the world, but failed to save the situation. However, he finally succeeded in writing "Spring and Autumn", which was feared by rebellious officials and traitors. It was more than three hundred years later that his thoughts were favored by the world.

" Xi'er recalled and said the same words in Xuan Boyi's tone.

Confucius himself was unable to become a powerful person, but he wanted to use complicated Zhou rituals to restrain the king's fatuous desires. From the perspective of Taoist Laozi, it was obviously impossible.

After all, as a human being, it is impossible to be perfect.

Xi'er remembered that Xuan Boyi had a disciple named Yue Yan.

Because Yue Yan was afraid that he would not treat others well and not be able to follow all the etiquette, he would be very nervous every time he met people. He was also afraid of meeting people and did not want to communicate with them, so he never went out again.

Xuan Boyi saw that his disciple Yue Yan did not come, so he went to Yue Yan's residence and asked about the reason.

After learning the reason, Xuan Boyi told Yue Yan not to worry about too many useless etiquette, but to be himself and let nature take its course.

Paying too much attention to etiquette is not conducive to the implementation of etiquette, and it is impossible to cover everything. Sometimes people will be questioned for a small etiquette, which is regarded as disrespectful. This was especially true in the Spring and Autumn Period where Confucius lived, and the Zhou rites were very big.

Disadvantages are like shackles that bind everyone's body and mind, making people breathless.

Xuan Boyi commented that Zhou Li paid too much attention to form and said it was not pragmatic because people spent too much time and wasted on it. In the end, it developed like a harsh law, making people forget the original meaning of the ritual and become rigid and rigid.

If you don't know how to adapt, you are not people-oriented.

Etiquette comes from sincerity.

If you can't make people feel ashamed by using etiquette, then etiquette is useless, because others can't keep you sincere. If you are not sincere, there is no need for etiquette. If you still use etiquette at this time, it is either hypocritical or

It means you can't help yourself, or you have faith in etiquette.

Faith is lofty, but few people have faith in etiquette. If the monarch has this faith, and the ministers also have this faith, and the monarch and his ministers are united, there will naturally be no more cowardly kings and treacherous ministers. Confucius should have thought so, but let him

What makes me feel powerless is that conflicts between people always break each other's understanding of etiquette intentionally or unintentionally, and trample etiquette under their feet, causing people to gradually lose their belief in and dependence on etiquette.

It is benevolence to deny oneself and restore propriety, but this is based on human survival needs.

Xuan Boyi thought a lot about the extremes of things. Sometimes he liked Confucianism, and sometimes he hated Confucianism. He turned to Taoism, but not long after, he hated Taoism and fell in love with Confucianism.

In the end, he found the reason because he saw a saying from Taoism - Those who are good at Taoism in ancient times will make the people stupid if they don't understand them. People are difficult to govern because they are wise.

This means that people who were good at practicing Tao in ancient times did not use Tao to make people smart, but used Tao to keep them in a state of ignorance.

In Xuan Boyi's view, this is tantamount to putting people in a state of incompetence, where wise men become liars and profit from bullying fools.

Outside the borders, during the Spring and Autumn Period of China, a Legalist named Guan Zhong took the initiative to request the establishment of the rule of law because of the "Valley of Foolish Old Man" incident. This incident shows that if wisdom does not deceive fools, the country can indeed have long-term peace and stability.

The so-called stupid donkey, stupid donkey, probably comes from the allusion of the Guizhou donkey's incompetence.

The consequences of making people ignorant are obvious, that is, they turn into donkey heads and are eaten by tigers.

At the beginning, there were no donkeys in Guizhou, and ships would bring in those who wanted to do something good.

The tiger will be afraid of the donkey because of ignorance, and the donkey will not know how to escape because of stupidity.

Later, after a series of trials, the tiger realized that the Guizhou donkey was incompetent and finally ate it. Perhaps it was not until it was bitten to death that the donkey changed from ignorance to knowledge.

The tiger and the donkey could live in peace at first because of their ignorance, but then things became not that simple.

We need to look at reality from a developmental perspective. Bad people can be restrained with courtesy, but if they are too anxious to jump over the wall, they will inevitably not attack good people when they need to survive.

It is simply unrealistic to make people ignorant. If you look a little wider, on the African savannah, lions and zebras live in the wild. Although they are animals, they are all aware, let alone people.

Tao follows nature, and the African savannah is the best example.

After zebras see their companions being eaten by lions, they know that lions are their natural enemies. This is inevitable. After lions eat zebra meat, they know that zebras are their food. This is also inevitable.

Obviously the Taoist statement is unrealistic.

What's more, bad people and good people are both human beings. Good people can become bad people because of some bitter and grudge-filled things they have experienced; bad people can also change their ways because of great enlightenment.

It was precisely because of this incident that Xuan Boyi sided with Confucius and believed that there was no need to regard the relationship between people as the predator-prey relationship between a lion and a zebra.

The law of the jungle is not cannibalism. The reason why humans are human is because they are probably the most advanced race in the universe, and those memories and secrets are engraved in genes.

In this regard, although Xuan Boyi did not side with Taoism, he still absorbed some important Taoist ideas.

He does not completely deny Taoist thought, nor does he completely affirm Confucian thought. He also adopts the essence of Buddhist thought. He just prefers Confucian thought. In the end, he achieved his own success through knowledge, action, learning, thinking, patience and perception.

Thought.

If you were to ask which family Xuan Boyi's thoughts belong to, he would say that his thoughts belong to the unity of the "real family" and "sheng family" that he created.

Realist thinking is connected with reality, believes in reality, believes in reality, and human spiritual needs and material needs are both realistic needs, which is a special kind of realism.

The philosophy of Shengjia is to cherish life, love life, live a valuable and meaningful life, put life above all else, and human spiritual needs and material needs are also life needs, which is vitalism.

Taken together, it is the thought of real life, which means that life is real and should be cherished in conjunction with reality and held tightly in one's own hands.

"Sister, I want to follow you all the time." Little Snake looked at Xi'er expectantly and said.

"Well, since you have awakened, then follow me." Xi'er touched the little snake's head.

Having said that, with the master-servant contract, the little snake can't even think about not being with him.

Everyone thinks that they are right, that they are right, and that people cannot stand without spirit. Little do they know that there are many explanations for a phenomenon, and even Xuan Boyi does not think that his understanding is absolutely correct.

However, some people want to use their own thoughts to attack other people's thoughts, impose them on others, and use harsh words to subvert other people's cognition and three views. There are also some people who stubbornly guard their own thoughts and are indifferent to anyone else's thoughts.

Being so dismissive that you cannot patiently absorb the most positive and advanced things in other people's thoughts.

Regarding this phenomenon, Xi'er chose to be modest and keep other people's opinions in reserve when communicating philosophical thoughts with others, so as to avoid irrelevant arguments, seek common ground while reserving differences, and avoid conflicts.
