Across America, Starting with the Boxing Champion

Chapter 9: Driving for Taylor Swift

Chapter 9 Driving for Swift

At the end of training, Link got his cell phone in the locker room of the boxing gym. There were two messages on his cell phone from Swift an hour ago, asking him what he was doing. Talked about some rehearsals again.

Link thought for a while and called Swifty directly.

“Hello, I’m Taylor’s mother. She is rehearsing and is temporarily unavailable to answer your call.”

The voice of Swift's mother, Mrs. Andrea, came from the microphone.

“Hello Mrs. Andrea, this is Link, when will Taylor’s rehearsal end?”

Link said politely.

 “Uncertain for the time being.”

 “Okay, I’ll contact her later.”

The phone hung up quickly, and Bobo's voice came through. Link felt that Mrs. Andrea didn't like him very much, and was polite but cold.

But it doesn’t matter, he has no intention of flirting with Mrs. Andrea, and there is no need to please her.

Link sent Swift a message back and rode his motorcycle around downtown Miami.

Having been in Miami for more than a month, he has not been to other places except the Palm Beach area. It would be nice to walk around while the weather is nice.

Miami is the most populous city in Florida. It is located in the southeastern corner of the United States. The urban area consists of three counties, Miami-Dade County, Broward County and Palm Beach County.

The beach where Baker's Shop is located is in the middle of the outer beach of Palm Beach County. It is called the Gold Coast because of the high quality of the beach.

Miami is adjacent to the Great Western Ocean east and the Gulf of Mexico in the west. It is located in the subtropical monsoon climate area. The temperature is more than 15 degrees Celsius all year round. It has two seasons in winter and summer, and the temperature in winter is relatively warm.

Because the climate here is warm and humid, the vegetation is luxuriant all year round, the grass is evergreen, the air is not polluted by industry, and the quality is extremely high, Miami is also called the Garden City, the American retirement center, and ‘God’s waiting room’.

Miami is also an international metropolis and is the Latin American regional headquarters of many multinational companies, including Disney, ExxonMobil, FedEx, Microsoft, Oracle, Sony, etc., in finance, business, media, entertainment, art and international trade. Have an important position.

In May last year, Miami was named the cleanest city in the United States by Forbes magazine. In March this year, it was rated the richest city in the United States and the fifth richest city in the world by UBS.

In Palm Beach Gold Coast, skyscrapers, five-star hotels, high-end vacation apartments, and sea-view villas can be seen everywhere. The streets are filled with luxury cars one after another, which is denser than at the Luxury Car Expo.

Link was riding a scooter among luxury cars. When the car passed the Trump International Resort Hotel, his cell phone rang twice.

“You are practicing boxing? Why are you practicing boxing?”

“I can also box, let’s have a fight sometime (fist fist laugh)”

Link smiled after reading the message. She was pretty cute when she wasn't angry.

“I practice boxing because I like it, and since the diving shop has a normal business, I plan to be a part-time boxer to earn some pocket money.”

“If I don’t fight you, you are a girl. I will definitely cry for a long time if I punch you.”

 Ding dong~ding dong~

Taylor sent several more messages, telling him that boxing was not a good option and that boxing was too dangerous. He also said that his voice was nice and magnetic, and that he could consider becoming a singer.

Singer? Link laughed. He did have a good voice and could sing well, but he couldn't sing. He couldn't even read musical notation. It would be too difficult to make a living by singing, unless Swift invited him to form a team with her, and Swift would be responsible for singing. He's in charge of 'Oh yeah~'

“Miss Ivaca, here are your car keys.”

While he was texting Taylor back, a red-shirted waiter brushed his shoulder and passed by, holding a car key in both hands and handing it to the woman coming out of the hotel.

Link looked up, his blue eyes flashing, a little surprised.

The woman was tall, 180 centimeters tall, wearing pointed high-heeled shoes, almost as tall as Link. She wore exquisite sunglasses, a navy blue shirt on her upper body, and a black skirt on her lower body. Her figure was convex, with the front and back All heavy and tiring. Although Taylor is also 180 centimeters tall and has a good figure, her level of development is not comparable to the woman in front of her.

Link felt that this woman looked familiar, so when she passed by, he called out, "Miss Ivaca, I am your fan, can you sign your autograph for me?"

The woman stopped and looked back at him. Seeing a handsome guy, she smiled and said, "Are you my fan?"

“Yes, I have read your report and I think you are a very intelligent woman.”

"Thanks!"

 The woman smiled politely.

Link fumbled in his pockets and spread his hands regretfully, "I forgot to bring my pen. Miss Ivaca, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Link Baker, and I am an excellent boxer."

 “Boxer? Are you great?”

The woman looked him up and down while holding her glasses and smiled.

“Yes, Miss Ivaca, soon you will see me on TV and in the news, and they will call me the Boxing Champion.”

Link raised his handsome brow and said confidently.

“Haha, you are very interesting. Goodbye, Mr. Boxing Champion!”

The woman waved and got into the red Ferrari Enzo parked on the roadside. The car started and a gust of wind blew her blond hair away.

Link shrugged his shoulders, regretting that he didn’t bring a pen. Ivaca’s signature should be sold for dozens of dollars in the future.

He suddenly flicked his forehead. When he becomes a boxing champion, he will earn tens of millions or hundreds of millions of dollars per game. A few dozen dollars will be nothing. It is true that a poor man cannot change his poverty mindset.

“The rehearsal is almost over and I’m going to eat. There is an Italian seafood restaurant next to the stadium. Their shrimp soup tastes great. Do you want to try it?”

 Taylor sent a message asking.

“Okay, we’ll be there in ten minutes.”

Taylor's rehearsal place is at the Hard Rock Stadium, located in a wealthy community in West Palm Beach. It has the best environment, convenient transportation, and is relatively close to the beach. It is also known as Miami Gardens.

It took Link eight minutes to reach the east gate of Hard Rock Stadium.

This stadium is the home base of the Miami Dolphins, a team of the National Football League. It is the largest and most luxurious stadium in Miami. It can accommodate 65,000 people, which is two or three times larger than the American Airlines Arena, the home base of the Heat.

Music rehearsal is taking place in the gymnasium, and people are coming and going in front of the door.

Sitting on the grass in front of the arena were many fans who came to support them. They held up the heads of Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Alison Krauss and Vince Gere. Waiting for posters of star singers, waiting for their idols to emerge from the stadium, including several Taylor fans.

Link waited in front of the door for more than ten minutes. Taylor, wearing a pink baseball cap, printed T-shirt and jeans, came out of the east gate in a low-key manner.

“I saw your fans, it turns out you are a big star.”

“Of course, didn’t you know that before?”

Taylor raised his chin proudly, with a playful look on his delicate face.

“I know, I just didn’t expect your popularity to be so high.”

Link smiled, turned the accelerator hard, and the motorcycle rushed onto the street with a roar.
