Chapter 34 Mysterious Island (34)

Listening to the noise outside, Su Nanzhi's back was pressed against the wall. There were two heads hanging in front of her, one had dried and the other was Zhao Dacheng.

When I first came in, I saw Zhao Dacheng's head, his eyes staring forward, and blood still dripping from the fracture.

The sudden look at each other frightened Su Nanzhi and she almost shouted, but luckily she reacted quickly and covered her mouth.

I don’t know if this monster is storing food or if it has some perverted hobby.

After the sounds outside faded away, Su Nanzhi and Lu Yu moved to a nearby alley.

It was already dark, and the sea water in low-lying areas was already up to their knees. Setting fire to disturb the monsters bought them a day.

But now they have no advantage. Those fish-headed monsters who have lived here for who knows how many years can find their way with their eyes closed, but they cannot.

After avoiding the monsters on the road without any danger, the game is over in the last few hours left. Su Nanzhi just hopes that time will go faster.

They clung to the wall, avoiding the light cast by street lamps, and walked slowly and carefully.

A roar exploded in the sky, making people panic.

A sudden heavy rain came.

Amidst the noisy rain, the vision became blurred, and the sea in the distance surged high as if it was about to break through the sky. The entire island was shrouded in the dark and cold wind and rain, as if it would be swallowed up at any time.

Raindrops poured down from the clouds and hit them head and face. The rainstorm was fierce and their situation was even more difficult.

Su Nanzhi wiped the rain from his face. He was sweating profusely before, but now he was cold from head to toe.

The dazzling white light of lightning illuminated the dark street. The stone bricks were soaked by the rain and reflected a faint light. It was not clear whether it was the cold or other reasons. Su Nanzhi felt inexplicably panicked.

"They're here!"

A voice passed through the rain curtain and came from above.

Su Nanzhi was startled and looked up against the rain following the sound.

Lightning spread across the sky, and in the brief but bright light, she saw a half-transformed monster standing on the balcony of a three-story house nearby.

It stuck out its head, and the dark green scales on its hands were washed by the rain and shone brightly. It stared at them with eyes full of resentment.

"They are here! The traitors are here!" it repeated again, the voice indescribably strange.

What a fucking idiot!!!

It attracted all the fish-headed monsters nearby with its voice, and that wasn't the end of it. Su Nanzhi and the others ran to another road, and there were also 'people' standing guard upstairs in another house.

They couldn't walk where there were street lights. When lightning struck, they were immediately exposed to the sight of monsters, and the more they ran, the less they could do.

They were not the only ones who were unlucky. Su Nanzhi heard that there were "people" standing guard on the street to the left to guide the way. Later, they even took out an old-fashioned searchlight that they dug out from somewhere in the corner to shine on the road.

Su Nanzhi ducked down to avoid the monster, then pulled the trigger and fired two bullets. One missed and the other hit the monster's leg, delaying the attack for a while.

Lu Yu pulled out the knife that pierced the monster's chest and pointed at the higher house in front, "Go over there."

Su Nanzhi was breathing heavily and could not speak. She expressed with her eyes and gestures that it was no problem, she would follow.

They turned around and ran towards their destination. Su Nanzhi didn't know how she could hold on. Her head was buzzing and she felt like her body was no longer her own.
