American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#145 - Gangster Alliance

Late at night, Hammerhead's underground arena welcomed the familiar faces of various big shots once again.

Unlike the last time, where they swaggered in, eager to let the whole world know,

this time, the bosses of several gangs tacitly chose to keep a low profile.

The events on Madripoor Island had been devastating for them.

They were currently short-handed and had to act discreetly.

However, this time, there was a bit more of a smile on his face.

Hammerhead remained expressionless as always.

"The reason I've gathered everyone here this time isn't for anything special. I mainly want to collect information about Hydra.

Madame Viper, I don't know what she's up to. A perfectly good island battle almost destroyed the entire island.

I heard the Hand also suffered heavy losses.

But it shouldn't be to the point where they can't even send out a message. Speaking of which, Madame Viper's actions are a bit unethical. She's been missing for three days without even a phone call."

Tombstone said coldly, "What do you mean by saying this? Are you trying to shirk your responsibility? If it weren't for you calling the meeting last time, this wouldn't have happened.

I don't care about you or Hydra; someone needs to compensate for my losses!"

As soon as he said this, the other bosses started clamoring as well.

Hammerhead said, "Don't misunderstand! I'm asking you to provide information, not to come here and protest.

The decision to support Hydra was a collective one; you can't blame it on me! Besides, my losses are just as significant."

His words failed to convince the other bosses.

There were signs of another argument brewing.

Qishan cleared his throat and said with a chuckle, "I have a suggestion. I don't know if you're willing to listen. If we do it well, we might not only recover our losses but also make a fortune!"

Gangs are essentially businessmen, and upon hearing about making money, the old guys perked up, their eyes immediately focusing on him.

Qishan smiled and said, "I believe that anyone capable of being a boss already knows what happened on Madripoor Island.

I only found out recently. Although I also lost some men, overall, I'm still very happy.

Madripoor Island has a special geographical location, and the Singaporean government will definitely not give it up.

Now that it has been inexplicably razed to the ground, reinvesting in its construction is inevitable.

Through certain connections, I'm confident in getting the reconstruction rights for the island. I wonder if any of you bosses are interested?"

"Hmm?"

As soon as he said this, the eyes of all the bosses lit up slightly.

This was a huge deal. If managed well, it could be passed down through generations as a cash cow.

"You say you can get the reconstruction rights?"

"Or do you prefer to call it being a contractor?" Qishan smiled.

Mr. Jigsaw slammed the table and shouted, "Who cares what you call it? If you can get it, no one will care if you call yourself king!

Madripoor Island has become a deserted island. All traces of human activity have been erased. Construction must start from scratch.

The business opportunities contained within are almost endless. Construction companies from all over the world will focus their attention here.

With these interest groups involved, how can you guarantee you'll get the reconstruction rights?"

The bosses all nodded in agreement.

Qishan gently raised his hand, "Because I already have them!"

As he spoke, the projector automatically turned on, projecting a document.

It was indeed an authorization letter signed by the Singaporean government.

Hiss!

For a moment, the conference room was filled with the sound of people sucking in cold air.

Good heavens, having this thing was like having a gold mine.

Fortunately, the people present were all seasoned individuals and didn't overreact. After a slight surprise, their expressions returned to normal.

Mr. Negative asked, "How do you want to cooperate?"

Qishan smiled and said, "I heard that Mr. Fisk has formed a joint real estate company with the Hand and the Russian mafia to rebuild Hell's Kitchen.

Their shared business has linked their forces together, helping each other, and they've been developing quite well recently.

I heard that many small gangs doing business on the docks have already disbanded and joined them.

With such an advanced and successful example before us, why not learn from it humbly?

Moreover, we've already had one meeting for a gang alliance. This is now the second time.

Why not just directly form a gang alliance?

Our eight gangs will have a total of nine seats. When something happens, we'll vote by raising our hands, and each faction will help each other. Maybe we can compete with Fisk?

Looking at Qishan's smiling face, Jigsaw smiled strangely, "You have a good plan. It seems you want to exchange the authorization letter for the second seat?"

"Of course!" Qishan nodded naturally, "We are essentially businessmen, and no one will go against money.

Now that there is a cash cow in front of us, I will take out 70% of it in exchange for the second seat. Shouldn't I?"

Qishan looked around and smiled, "Or are some people willing to reject 10% of the huge profits in order to cast a 1/7 veto?"

The bosses looked at each other and remained silent.

After waiting for a few seconds, Qishan's mouth gradually widened into a big smile, "In that case, let's settle it like this! The gang alliance is officially established! I wish us a bright future and prosperous business!"

Qishan clapped his hands, the conference room door opened, and a row of girls walked in neatly.

They carried trays and placed a glass of red wine in front of each boss.

Qishan slowly raised his glass and waited quietly.

After a while, Tombstone was the first to raise his glass.

Then came Mr. Jigsaw and Mr. Negative.

Then one after another raised the glasses in their hands.

When the last person raised his glass, Qishan smiled slightly and drank it all in one gulp.

With a glass of wine, the gang alliance was officially formed.

In less than 20 days, Qishan went from being unknown to becoming the spokesman for the gang alliance.

Such a legendary experience, even if publicized, no one would believe it.

Putting down the wine glass, the atmosphere at the scene suddenly became a bit warmer.

Regardless of what they thought in their hearts, the alliance on the surface had been reached.

The next step was to send people to contact each other, negotiate the scope of influence, agree on the rules of mutual assistance, and a series of laws and regulations for the gang alliance.

Without rules, there can be no order. This sentence is more suitable for gangs.

These people were able to run their gangs, so they were obviously smart people.

Of course, the most important thing was to negotiate how to quickly establish a real estate company and bring the gold mine of Madripoor Island back home.
