American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#160 - Coulson's Door

On a street in the district, a line of black SUVs was moving slowly.

In the leading vehicle, two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stared intently at the building numbers beside them, muttering under their breath.

"115, 116, 117, damn it, 119! Where did 118 go?"

The driver slammed on the brakes, reporting in a deeply weary tone, "Sir, we've circled the nearby streets three times, and we still haven't found 118. Are you sure this is the right address?"

In the vehicle behind, Coulson replied calmly, "There's no mistake. Don't stop, keep moving forward!"

His expression was calm, and his emotions showed no fluctuation. He had seen too many strange things, so what was this?

Sure enough, as the vehicle passed a lawn, the scene in front of them rippled like water.

What had been a statue and garden-like small building in their sight suddenly transformed into a large cathedral.

The driver had sharp eyes and immediately said, "Sir, 118 is here!"

"Very good, now enter Level Three Silent Mode. Without my orders, no one is allowed to speak or move around!

The car will continue to move forward and stop at the entrance of the church!"

The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were well-trained. After responding, they immediately entered Silent Mode.

Coulson looked at the church in front of him, silently comparing it with the information he had received earlier.

As expected, it had changed a lot.

This church was originally a Christian church with a sense of age. Although the outer walls were brick-colored, the ceiling had been painted white.

A cross statue stood on the roof, giving a sense of solemnity.

However, at this time, although the overall framework of the church had not changed, the exterior color had all turned black.

The portraits of the Virgin Mary on the windows and the Bible stories on the walls had all disappeared, uniformly replaced by a light blue background.

Although the cross on the roof was still white, a huge octagon was inlaid on it.

Coulson knew that this was the symbol of the Black Order.

The car stopped at the entrance of the church, and everyone got out.

The door of the church was slowly pushed open, and a gentle young man in a white haori walked out slowly.

He wore black-rimmed glasses, and his smile was very approachable.

"Welcome, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. The Archbishop has been waiting for a long time. Please follow me!"

After speaking, Aizen turned around and walked inside.

Coulson raised his hand to signal, and the subordinates behind him, who were about to follow, immediately stopped and dispersed discreetly.

Coulson nodded, raised his foot, and stepped into the church.

He saw the number '5' clearly written on the back of Aizen's white haori, his pupils contracted slightly, and he asked with a smile, "Excuse me, may I ask your name?"

"How rude of me. My name is Aizen Sōsuke, and I have been appointed as the captain of the Fifth Division of the Gotei 13. My current responsibility is to guard the church and develop believers.

In this regard, we still need S.H.I.E.L.D.'s cooperation!"

After walking for a few minutes, Coulson became more vigilant.

The current Black Order was already on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar. Coulson needed to come to negotiate, so he would naturally memorize the information about this place.

He not only knew the area of the church at 118 by heart, but he could even roughly draw the internal structure.

But now, it seemed that the spatial proportions inside were obviously wrong.

He suppressed the doubts in his heart, trying to observe his surroundings discreetly, hoping to gather useful information.

Aizen took in his actions, but did not stop him.

The two walked one after the other through a long corridor and entered a small garden.

Qishan was sitting at a delicate dining table, drinking afternoon tea.

Since some time ago, Qishan's life had become leisurely.

This time, the newly born Tomie seemed to be more sensible.

The daily essential task was to organize Qishan's internal affairs, and sometimes she would personally cook some side dishes for Qishan.

After the initial doubts, Qishan enjoyed it with peace of mind.

Seeing Coulson walking over from afar, Qishan raised his hand to greet him.

"Would you like something to drink?"

"I'll have a cup of black tea. It smells very fragrant!" Coulson said with a smile, sitting opposite Qishan.

Qishan picked up the teapot and poured a cup, placing it in front of him. "What's the matter that you're so eager to find me?"

Coulson straightened his face and said seriously, "First of all, on behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D., I would like to thank you and the Black Order for your contributions in the London incident!

You not only saved the entire London, but also saved the entire world.

We reviewed the entire battle situation at that time through satellite data and came to a shocking conclusion. If it weren't for your Black Order's participation in the war and winning a victory in one fell swoop, I'm afraid the Earth would have ceased to exist by now!"

"It's nothing, but it's a pity he ran away!"

"That is indeed a problem, but leaving Earth is already our greatest luck. The universe is too big and too dangerous. We have no time to take care of it, so we can only wish them good luck!"

Qishan smiled and said, "That's a wise choice. I thought the Avengers would choose to go on a space expedition!"

Coulson smiled wryly, "Indeed, some of the Avengers have proposed this motion, but it was rejected by the Director and most people!

As you know, the current situation on Earth is not very good.

The exposure of the Tesseract has exposed Earth to the major forces in the universe. The danger of descending from outer space will greatly increase.

Not only that, the number of mutants is also increasing, and the issue of superhuman security has become the primary problem for various countries.

They often fight in downtown areas, causing countless economic losses, which has already given various governments a headache.

Therefore…"

Qishan looked at him with a half-smile.

Coulson smiled wryly and said, "Therefore, the United Nations conference proposed to register all superhumans in order to manage and rationally utilize their power.

Among the superhumans, the Black Order is one of the largest forces.

Moreover, you are very righteous and have participated in the superhuman wars three times before and after and won victories.

You have made very great contributions to the peace of the Earth.

Therefore, some people in the bureau have proposed, can we start the superhuman registration from the Black Order?

Your Grace Archbishop knows that the registration system will not bring any negative impact. On the contrary, disclosing some information can bring more benefits.

For example, the process of evangelism will be smoother, and the enterprises under the Black Order will receive more policy support…"

"And for us in S.H.I.E.L.D., it is also an opportunity to show our capabilities, so…"

Coulson looked at Qishan expectantly.

Qishan was silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled slightly and said, "I can express my support to a limited extent, but there are conditions!"

Coulson said solemnly, "Please speak!"
