American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#179 - The Seventy-Nine Ways of Binding: The Nine Lights Binding!

"Did it work?"

Soi Fon stared intently at the burning flames in the sky, her Suzumebachi reverting to its Shikai form.

Suddenly, a figure curled into a ball and shot out of the flames, flying diagonally towards the ground.

Soi Fon's pupils constricted, and with a nimble flip, she stopped herself horizontally, then flashed and appeared directly in front of Neferpitou.

Her gaze was icy, and she thrust the Suzumebachi needle forward without hesitation.

"Oh, danger! Danger!"

Neferpitou's balled-up body suddenly unfolded, and she grabbed Soi Fon's wrist, using her own momentum to draw an arc over her head, trying to fling her away.

Unfortunately for her, as the leader of the Onmitsukido assassination squad, close combat was her forte.

"Windmill!"

A massive force came crashing in, but Soi Fon didn't resist. Instead, she leaned into the force, kicking Neferpitou in the chest.

Neferpitou's body stiffened, and Soi Fon pressed her advantage, using the momentum to spin her leg back for another kick, alternating her legs like a windmill.

After taking a couple of hits, Neferpitou released her grip and gathered a huge amount of Nen in her right leg, pulling it back for an axe kick.

"Rushing Carp!"

Soi Fon moved nimbly, spinning halfway in the air, stacking her hands together and striking Neferpitou's left leg. She squeezed her legs together, bracing against her descending shin, and slammed her waist backward, emitting a loud bang that sent Neferpitou flying.

Losing her balance, she couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of blood.

Soi Fon stood firm, stacking her hands together and shouting coldly, "Binding Art Number Four: This Rope!"

A shimmering fluorescent rope appeared on her fingers, and like a cargo, one end automatically shot out, binding Neferpitou into a C-shape.

"Chariot of thunder, gap of a spinning wheel, this entity has light, gathering and dividing into six!"

"Binding Art Number Sixty-One: Six-Rod Light Restraint!"

Six pillars of light descended from the sky, heavily slamming into Neferpitou's body, rendering her unable to move even an inch.

Not trusting this alone, Soi Fon raised her hands high, took a deep breath, and shouted, "Binding Art Number Seventy-Nine: Nine Sunlight Binding!"

Dong, dong, dong, dong...

Nine dark spiritual objects slammed into the space surrounding Neferpitou, locking down the entire space.

In an instant, everything inside the space stopped.

Not just the airflow and atoms, but even time itself was sealed.

Neferpitou was motionless, like a small insect in amber, real but pathetic.

The black Nen around her constantly pulsed, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't break the spatial seal.

Only then did Soi Fon breathe a sigh of relief.

Neferpitou's current appearance could be described as extremely wretched.

Suzumebachi Raikoben's power was astonishing, no less than a nuclear bomb. Taking a direct hit was unpleasant even for Neferpitou.

Her 'Toy Repair' was directly destroyed, and the Nen backlash caused considerable damage. In addition, the close-range explosion, even though she moved nimbly and dodged in advance, she still couldn't escape unscathed.

Her hands and feet were covered in numerous wounds, and blood was practically gushing out.

There were burn marks on her legs, her right hand was intact, but her left hand had disappeared, the cross-section filled with dense, transparent threads, even the bloodstains were sealed inside.

Seeing this scene, Soi Fon was also taken aback.

To be able to fight with me for so long with such serious injuries...

Crack!

The sound of cracking was clearly audible, and Soi Fon looked up, her eyes narrowing.

The Suzumebachi needle in her hand immediately rose, her legs slightly bent, ready to strike.

Crack! Crack!

Nen surged wildly within the barrier, like a surging sea, the giant waves constantly crashing against the seal.

The external cracks gradually expanded.

Qishan glanced at Neferpitou and said with a smile, "Leave this one to me. I need to study Nen, this pure life energy!"

"Yes!" Soi Fon took a step back, responding respectfully.

Qishan nodded, unconcerned about the continuously cracking Nine Sunlight Binding. He simply reached out and struck, sending Neferpitou and the Binding Art on her body into the Soul Society.

"It's about time! You guys come back with me too! We still need to send Mayuri Kurotsuchi over later. He's very interested in studying new species!"

Qishan gave a faint order, and Soi Fon and Gin Ichimaru appeared behind him with a whoosh.

Qishan raised his hand and tore open a Garganta.

The two stepped inside one after the other.

Gin Ichimaru smiled and said, "Archbishop, if you have time, how about a little drink?"

Qishan chuckled, "Instead of drinking, you might as well think about how to appease Rangiku. You haven't been allowed back into the house for so long after being reborn, have you?"

Hearing this, Gin Ichimaru stiffened, and the smile on his face became a little more helpless.

---

Whoosh!

The blade flashed past Meruem's face, this move was so fast that even the King's eyesight couldn't see it clearly.

He instinctively dodged to the side, swinging his tail downward.

Sure enough, it collided with the upward slashing blade, emitting a crisp sound.

Retsu Unohana's hair flew up, looking like a madwoman.

Her originally clear black and white eyes were filled with bloodshot veins, and the desire to kill that surged from the bottom of her heart burst forth directly through her eyes.

"Are you underestimating me? In a fight where we're betting our lives, you actually have the mood to look around... Or are you simply not taking me seriously at all?"

Meruem chuckled softly.

"Not bad, not bad at all! I didn't expect that even after entering a new plane, there would be such a delightful battle."

Meruem was completely immersed in the pleasure of the battle, never caring about the life and death of his subordinates.

Even with human intelligence, Chimera Ants are essentially cold-blooded animals with a strict hierarchical structure.

No different from ordinary ants.

In Meruem's view, the deaths of Neferpitou and Youpi were merely normal occurrences and not worth worrying about.

"Is that so? So that's what you think!"

Retsu Unohana's eyes changed slightly, and a wide smile split her lips.

Her figure suddenly disappeared.

The King felt a sense of foreboding in his heart, and the nails on his hands popped out to the length of short blades, raising his hand to grab upward.

Ten white lights intertwined, colliding with the bizarre, ruthless, and cleverly positioned Zanpakuto.

Emitting a series of dense sounds.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding...

Hana's blade was like a blooming chrysanthemum, each petal being a residual image of a Zanpakuto blade. In the center, Hana stood gracefully, as deadly and delicate as a pistil.

Meruem tenaciously wrapped Nen around his body, maximizing the defense of his carapace.

His hands, either fists or claws, constantly changed. That eye-catching tail, like a viper lurking in the dark, could always find the most suitable opportunity to strike with a cold blow, forcing Hana to abandon her advantage and switch from offense to defense.

Both of them were extremely fast, and their afterimages appeared one after another as they moved. It was just a fight between two people, but from a distance, it looked like hundreds of people were fighting.
