American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#212 - Frieza invades Asgard

Just as Baldy was making his triumphant return, a major event was unfolding in Asgard.

During the Dark Elf invasion, Loki ambushed Odin, using a divine artifact to seal him away and send him to Earth.

Subsequently, he used illusions to deceive Thor, assuming Odin's identity and rightfully becoming the King of Asgard.

The Asgardian gods have long lifespans, resulting in a very leisurely and slow-paced life.

Under Odin's leadership, Asgard displayed a strong sense of responsibility. As the guardians of the Nine Realms, they were not only powerful and well-equipped but also frequently engaged in battles in other worlds to maintain peace.

Therefore, the entire Asgard exuded an aura of heroism and glory.

However, after Loki took over, Asgard rapidly degenerated into a giant playground.

With advanced technology and no worries about food or clothing, the people of Asgard had no need to work.

Thus, apart from a few warriors serving as guards, everyone else was accompanying Loki to the opera.

The feeling of leisure was like the dazzling brilliance of a doomed dynasty in its final moments.

Loki indulged in wine and opera daily, completely unaware of the earth-shattering changes that had occurred among the Frost Giants next door.

"Oh, brother, I can't take it anymore! I'm afraid I can't hold on!"

On stage, the actor playing Thor was embracing the actor playing Loki, shedding tears of deep emotion.

The two were portraying the events of the Chitauri invasion.

However, Loki had clearly been whitewashed, and the dialogue was heavily biased, making the audience feel great sympathy for him.

"My foolish brother, you never listen!"

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault! I shouldn't have invaded Earth, I shouldn't have meddled with the Tesseract, and I shouldn't have even turned you into a frog. But you know, I am the God of Mischief, I just can't control myself."

An explosion suddenly occurred halfway up a distant mountain peak, severing the entire mountain, which slid diagonally into the valley with a deafening roar.

The crowd fell silent instantly. Everyone turned to look, wondering what had happened.

Just then, a thunderclap sounded in the sky, and a massive fleet appeared out of nowhere, covering the sky and almost enveloping the entire area.

Loki's expression changed slightly: "Damn it, what's going on? Where's Skurge? Why wasn't I informed?"

However, assigning blame now was futile.

The crowd was somewhat panicked. Even among the Asgardian gods, ordinary people were still ordinary people.

Like Earth, the ordinary people here were also considered expendable, only slightly more advanced, unlike the ordinary people on Earth who were exploited every so often.

"Where's Hogun? Send my orders, mobilize the legions and prepare for battle!"

Hogun, one of the Warriors Three, skilled in using a meteor hammer, held a high position in Asgard, second only to Thor.

In Earthly terms, he was at the same level as Hawkeye.

Loki wasn't stupid. After taking over Asgard, he immediately expelled Heimdall to prevent exposure. As for the foolish Warriors Three, he naturally accepted them all.

He loved strong warriors with well-developed limbs and simple minds. Using Asgard's honor as an excuse to manipulate them was quite effective.

Now that they were facing a sudden invasion, his first thought was of him.

As the order was given, someone immediately went to deliver the message. Then, they saw the exaggerated protective shield of the palace instantly form, and war frigates rose into the air one after another, facing the invading fleet head-on.

Just as Loki thought the two sides would exchange blows for a few rounds, a large swath of laser beams descended from the sky, piercing through all the war frigates in the blink of an eye.

They hadn't even fully entered war mode before they instantly turned into giant fireballs.

Watching the fireballs bloom in the sky, Loki was stunned.

"Damn it!"

The enemy fleet slowly descended with the force of Mount Tai pressing down.

Hundreds of giant cannons fired almost simultaneously, and the shells bombarded the protective shield, creating a sea of fire that almost connected together.

Loki watched as his beautiful kingdom turned into a scorched earth. His eyes turned red, and he subconsciously wanted to draw his dagger and rush forward.

But as soon as he took a step, he remembered that he was currently disguised as Odin.

As the King of Asgard, even charging into battle wasn't his place.

At this moment, Loki truly missed Thor.

After several rounds of shelling, all the buildings around the palace were destroyed, leaving only the palace under the protective shield, standing alone there.

The giant statue that Loki had specially built for himself was broken in two.

The invading fleet opened its landing pods a dozen meters above the ground. Bizarrely dressed aliens wearing strange armor jumped down like dumplings.

Apart from the uniform attire, these people showed no signs of being a disciplined army. Like a rabble, they rushed forward with wild laughter, using all kinds of weapons to attack any enemies.

Bang! Bang!

After a series of heavy sounds, the ground trembled slightly. A dozen giant blue giants slowly stood up, revealing a hideous smile to the panicked Asgardian civilians not far away.

Loki's eyes turned bloodshot.

"Laufey, King of the Frost Giants? It's you?!"

Loki stepped forward and shouted loudly, "King Laufey, what do you want? Do you want to break the agreement and continue the meaningless war?"

Despite Asgard's advanced technology, its combat mode had always remained in the Middle Ages.

Pre-battle dialogue was almost a fixed pattern.

If it were an invasion war in the past, King Laufey of the Frost Giants would indeed say a few words to him, declaring the purpose of his war, and then the two sides would start fighting.

But this time, Laufey unusually took a step back, revealing an unknown race with golden bodies behind him.

Whoosh!

A laser beam smashed into the protective shield, causing violent fluctuations.

The person smiled with satisfaction: "Not bad! It can withstand my casual blow. Asgard is qualified to continue to exist. Order them not to kill everyone! This place is good, it should be able to sell for a good price!"

Laufey slowly said: "Yes! Lord Frieza!"
