American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#303 - Death of Savitar

Harry Wilson slowly woke up from his coma. The bright ceiling and the familiar smell of the laboratory gave him a long-lost sense of security.

"Ugh…"

Jessie, who had been guarding him, woke up instantly and exclaimed with joy, "Dad, you're awake?"

Harry looked at his daughter's familiar face, slightly lost in thought. He slowly reached out and touched his daughter's face. The real touch brought tears to his eyes.

"Jessie…"

"I'm here!"

"I'm finally seeing you again!"

Harry's slightly hoarse voice was filled with infinite emotion.

This trip to Gorilla City could be said to be a narrow escape from death.

The commotion on Harry's side immediately triggered the alarm, and Cisco and the others quickly rushed in.

"Harry…"

"Cisco, Caitlin, Barry…"

Harry greeted his companions with a smile, and everyone responded one by one.

Caitlin stepped forward to look at the monitoring data and said, "His physical characteristics have stabilized. He hasn't suffered any serious injuries, only a large number of soft tissue contusions and severe malnutrition. He'll be fine after a short period of recuperation."

"Thank you!"

Harry thanked her, and Caitlin nodded with a smile.

Barry said, "Harry, I'm sorry, our previous rescue operation failed…"

Harry waved his hand.

"I know! Although I was imprisoned, I heard the commotion you guys made. Thank you, Barry, and everyone else. I know you did your best."

Cisco said, "It's all our fault for underestimating Grodd. Not only did the rescue operation fail, but it also attracted a large number of invaders. If it weren't for the Hunter Squad…"

"Hunter Squad?" Harry asked in confusion.

"A newly established special operations team in the police department. They're not police officers, but they have temporary law enforcement power. Although we don't fully understand their abilities yet, it's certain that their combat power is not weak," Barry said calmly.

Harry sensitively noticed something.

He looked at Barry's face, then at Jessie and Wally, and said, "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

"Dr. Stein's Legends of Tomorrow team… is gone!"

Everyone looked at each other. Finally, Jessie broke the silence.

She and Harry were from Earth-Two. Although she had met the Legends of Tomorrow, she didn't have any personal relationship with them and wasn't as sad as the others.

Harry was silent for a moment, then said, "Do you know who did it?"

"Still investigating! This unknown enemy, plus the Savitar who is watching us covetously, our strength is insufficient, so we discussed it and now we have a cooperative relationship with the Hunter Squad.

Before the next operation, we need to report!"

"Is that so? That's good too!" Harry nodded.

After that, he didn't say another word.

The atmosphere in the room suddenly became a bit cold.

Caitlin quickly said, "Harry, how did you escape?"

"It was a coincidence!" Harry shook his head. "I don't want to mention it again!"

Cisco said, "Uh… that's fine too. Let bygones be bygones. It's best not to think about it. Harry, you need to recover as soon as possible. We're still waiting for your technical support!"

Harry forced a smile and didn't say anything.

But HR and the others tasted a different flavor.

The Flash team's failure in this rescue operation had obviously hurt Harry.

He had always regarded Barry and the others as his best partners, and even from far away on Earth-Two, he still provided help to the best of his ability.

But Barry, with super speed and the support of so many powerful partners, only tried to rescue him once and then gave up.

Even if Barry had his own difficulties, Harry still felt unable to accept it.

He had a feeling of being betrayed.

Buzz… Buzz…

The alarm suddenly sounded, attracting everyone's attention.

Cisco quickly ran to the computer and opened the surveillance camera near the alarm tag.

"It's Savitar!"

Cisco shouted after just one glance.

Barry turned to leave. "Give me the location, I'll go there immediately!"

"We'll go too!" Wally and Jessie said together.

"No!" Barry immediately said, "The previous encounters have already proven that we are not his opponents. This time, I'm just acting as bait."

Cisco snapped his fingers and smiled, "That's right, we need to notify the Hunter Squad in advance!"

In the Hunter Squad's office, the phone rang.

Sixteen slowly walked over and picked it up: "Hello, Hunter Squad office, who is this?"

"Hey buddy, judging by your voice, you shouldn't be Brooke, are you Sixteen or Buu?"

"Sixteen!" Sixteen said plainly.

"Hello buddy, remember our cooperation agreement, Savitar appeared at the intersection of Twelfth Avenue, Barry has already gone, we need help!"

"Understood!"

Sixteen replied indifferently and hung up the phone directly.

On the other side, Cisco was stunned for a moment, and then a picture popped up on the monitor in front of him.

A tall blond man slowly walked out of the police station. He didn't seem to make any movements, but the whole person floated into the air. Then, a sonic boom exploded, and the man shot into the sky like a missile and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Immediately in the next moment, the man suddenly appeared in front of Savitar.

Cisco was stunned: "So fast?"

At the street corner, Savitar and the Flash stood facing each other quietly.

Unlike their previous meeting, Savitar didn't rush over immediately, but stared at him coldly.

"The future has changed. What… did you do?"

The Flash said, "If you're talking about the future timeline disappearing, I'm also looking for the reason. The Legends of Tomorrow have already paid a heavy price for this."

Savitar bowed slightly, his voice low: "But that's not a reason to let you off. In my original plan, killing Iris, making you experience the pain I experienced, converging the timeline, and freeing myself from the painful time loop.

But now…"

The Flash instinctively became vigilant.

"What do you want to do?"

"The timeline has been broken. The disappearance of the future represents infinite possibilities. I am you in the future, you are just me in the past. As long as I kill you, I can regain my freedom…"

A large amount of lightning sparked around the two of them.

Just as the battle was about to break out, Sixteen suddenly descended from the sky.

He fired a shockwave in the nick of time, instantly piercing Savitar's chest.

The shockwave hit the wall at the street corner and exploded with a bang.

Savitar's whole body stiffened. He lowered his head in disbelief, looking at the face-sized hole in his chest, trembling and wanting to say something, but couldn't say a word.

He fell to the ground, lifeless.

Sixteen said calmly, "The matter is resolved!"

After speaking, he soared into the sky and disappeared.

The Flash was stunned on the spot, unable to say a word for a long time.
