American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#372 - Jesse looks familiar

The detention center is an auxiliary facility under the jurisdiction of the court. In addition to the prison cells, there are also a certain number of interrogation rooms, mainly for the service of the agents.

Qi Shan and the other woman were brought into the interrogation room one after the other.

The place was very spacious. A glass isolation room specially built for mutant prisoners was in the middle. After restricting the actions of the two with special plastic handcuffs, the glass door of the isolation room was closed. Then, a man in a suit walked in.

This person was in his early 40s, an ordinary brown-skinned man, with short hair and a somewhat high hairline. It was obvious that his usual work was very mentally exhausting.

He was strong and well-proportioned. The tailored suit was stretched a little bulging. There was an obvious bulge on the back of his left waist. Qi Shan knew it was a gun without even thinking about it.

"Hello, ladies! My name is Jesse Turner, Sentinel Services. In fact, I'm here mainly for Miss Dane.

She formed an underground mutant organization, which has caused me a lot of trouble recently. In order to ensure the smooth capture operation, I came to understand the situation."

Jesse looked at Qi Shan curiously and said, "Discovering Miss Tomie was an accident. These days, the guards seem to be a little restless, and your name often comes out of their mouths.

So I also did some homework. Indeed, you are not simple. You are clearly a mutant, but you were sent to the detention center for drunk driving. Your x-gene was exposed during a routine physical examination, and that's why you were designated as a mutant.

This experience is legendary enough, quite surprising!"

Qi Shan looked him up and down and said, "I always feel like you look familiar."

"Oh? Is this your tactic?"

"Before joining Sentinel Services, were you in the CIA?"

A look of surprise flashed in Jesse's eyes, but he remained calm: "Oh? Is this your guess?"

Qi Shan ignored his question, thought for a while, and then said, "At that time, you should have been an information officer, and then someone exposed you, and you were directly blacklisted! I remember that the incident caused quite a stir at the time! It even went through a high-ranking official at the level of the Deputy Director's Assistant."

Jesse was stunned. After a few seconds, he picked up the file, flipped through it briefly, and said, "Interesting! I don't know where this story comes from, but it's wonderful, I have to say I like it!

While in prison, you might consider writing it into a story and sending it to me. I know many TV screenwriters. If the plot is exciting, it might be directly adapted into a TV series!"

"Of course!" Qi Shan said noncommittally.

"Wait a minute!"

Jesse walked out. As soon as he closed the door of the interrogation room, his face immediately darkened. He grabbed the subordinate guarding the door and said in a hurried tone: "This Tomie's information is fake. She knows a lot of internal government information, and even knows that I used to be in the CIA and the Blacklist incident happened.

I suspect she has a special source of information. Immediately call the team into action and dig out all her information.

I feel that this is an even bigger trouble for the underground mutant organization!"

The subordinate agreed and left quickly.

Then, Jesse rubbed his face, put on a relaxed expression again, walked to the nearby vending machine, bought two hot coffees, and turned back to the interrogation room.

"Put them here first, you can take them yourself later!"

Jesse put the coffee on the small table next to him and said with a smile: "I've been chatting with Miss Tomie just now, and I almost forgot the business.

I'm not targeting individuals, but Miss Dane, I have to tell you that my team is under orders to capture all the mutants under your organization!"

Polaris shrugged: "Uh… then I can only wish you good luck."

"Good luck is a bit too ethereal for me! I prefer more detailed information, preferably life details! Why don't we start with Marcos Diaz!

I think you are much more familiar with him, after all, he is the father of your child."

Polaris glanced at Jesse without speaking.

"I think this is a good suggestion! Cooperating with us can get a lot of convenience in prison, including seeing each other after the little guy is born…"

Polaris snorted coldly: "Is that a threat? Using my child?"

"If you have to understand it that way!"

Jesse shook his head and said sincerely: "Miss Dane, it is most beneficial for you that we can sit here and talk about conditions calmly.

Once this negotiation breaks down, the place we talk will no longer be the detention center, but the Sentinel Services.

You know that place, all the facilities are prepared for mutants. Compared with that place, the detention center is simply heaven.

Believe me, this is a mutually beneficial condition."

Polaris was silent.

Jesse waited for a few seconds, stood up and said: "Okay, I'll give you some time to think about it! If you are clear, if you don't provide information on the capture, you will lose your last trump card.

Think carefully, how about it?"

Jesse turned around and took two steps, then suddenly turned back and looked at Qi Shan, and asked: "By the way, Miss Tomie, we found that your identity is fake, um, can you tell me your real identity?"

Qi Shan smiled: "Then you are wrong! This name is real!"

"No surname? Just Tomie."

"Believe me, no surname can suppress the name Tomie!"

Jesse nodded: "Okay! Then can you tell me, where did the two missing guards go?"

"How would I know? I'm in prison!" Qi Shan raised a strange smile at the corner of his mouth.

Jesse shook his head: "Okay, I'll have someone investigate this matter. Miss Tomie, you gave me a big surprise this time!

I hope we still have such a friendly atmosphere when we meet next time! Don't wait until you enter Sentinel Services before you can say everything.

It will be too late then! Then goodbye!"

After speaking, Jesse pushed the door and walked out.

The guard walked in, unfastened the handcuffs of the two, and they each carried a cup of coffee and walked back slowly.

The aroma of coffee wafted along the way, attracting a lot of covetous gazes.

As Americans, coffee is almost an indispensable part of life, and they can't help but drool when they smell this aroma.

That's secondary. After entering the cell, Qi Shan found a super-sized pizza box on the small table. In the tin foil bowl wrapped on it, the aroma of chicken faintly wafted out.

Qi Shan looked back at the guard, and a hint of sarcasm appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Polaris was stunned, there really was pizza?

The guard didn't want to stay for a second, closed the fence and turned to leave.

Qi Shan smiled and took out two cans of beer from the paper bag next to him: "For the food?"

Polaris took it, took the beer and touched Qi Shan, nodded and said: "For the food!"

At this moment, she was really happy.
