American Comics: BOSS Invasion
#41 - Debut
Late at night, the underground black boxing arena.
This was a disused underground passage, not particularly large, but at this moment it was packed with people.
The central area had been simply modified to create a crude boxing ring, with several large spotlights above, focusing the light on the ring, as bright as day.
A protective net made of unknown materials surrounded the perimeter, its design very basic.
The crowd was gathered around the outside, in groups of twos and threes, creating a chaotic din.
Suddenly, a burst of powerful drumbeats sounded, followed by a seductive female voice.
"They come from a distant planet…"
This single sentence grabbed everyone's attention, and a woman in a red evening dress slowly walked out.
"\n…Having traversed the vast universe and overcome countless difficulties to reach Earth, what is their purpose? Is it for war? To promote peace? Or some other agenda?"
The spotlights shone on the woman, her skin seeming to glow white.
This was a confident and elegant woman, with a beautiful face and a unique aura.
In particular, the crimson serpent tattoo that stretched from her collarbone and wrapped around her waist captivated everyone.
The woman looked down at the crowd, opened her palm, and said indifferently: "Tonight is a death cage match, with no rules, only blood.
They were already impatient to see death and blood.
Just as everyone was united in anticipation of the duelists' appearance, a figure slowly emerged from a blind spot.
This person was dressed strangely, unlike ordinary people.
A head of unruly, standing red hair, teardrop and star-shaped makeup at the corners of his eyes, a tall figure with a slender waist and long legs but well-developed muscles, dressed like a clown, with a constant, subtle smile on his face, the whole person exuding an eerie aura from the inside out.
It was the protagonist of this invasion, Hisoka.
"\n…And facing him is the rebellious warrior from Planet Chaldar, Rabbi, the executioner who once slaughtered nobles like dogs!"
The crowd roared.
Both warriors were powerfully built and grotesque.
One looked like a Shar-Pei, his face covered in layers of skin.
The other had a toad-like head, his mouth as big as a washbasin when he opened it.
The two sides struck provocative poses, and a battle was about to break out.
The familiar scene attracted Hisoka's attention.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, glanced at it, but quickly lost interest.
[Strange species, unknown location.
Metabolism is normal, water and energy are not being consumed excessively, indicating that my memory hasn't been fragmented, but I was clearly in the forest a second ago, and the next second I'm here… Heh heh heh heh, interesting, this is too interesting.
Who could it be? A illusion-type psychic, or a dream-attribute psychic?
Or… another continent?]
The unknown danger made Hisoka a little excited, and he couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth into a smile, turning to walk outside.
"Quell!!!"
A burly man shouted hoarsely, veins popping, waving his arms wildly, accidentally hitting Hisoka's cheek.
Hisoka paused, tilting his head slightly.
The burly man was oblivious, still waving his arms.
Heh!
Hisoka raised his right hand, slender fingers resting on his eyelid, slightly concealing his excited gaze.
Suddenly, a flash of light, and both of the burly man's arms flew into the air, blood flowers dancing in the sky.
The burly man froze for a moment, then let out a pig-slaughtering scream.
Ah!
This scream immediately attracted a lot of attention.
Hisoka stood beside him, arms crossed.
"Oh my, it's incredible, arms can actually be thrown off like that."
The eyes of the people around him suddenly locked onto Hisoka.
There was no way around it, he was too conspicuous, Hisoka's attire was out of sync with the surrounding atmosphere.
Like people from two different worlds.
He lowered his eyelids slightly, his tone icy cold.
"Next time you bump into someone, remember to apologize immediately.
Of course, if you still have the chance."
With that, he slowly walked outwards.
The sound of wind was obvious over there, clearly the exit.
The people around him were stunned for a few seconds, then someone shouted.
"Catch him, he's the murderer!"
At this time, the arena match in the center of the stage had already begun, fist-to-fist, the scene of blood spurting, making the whole place excited, screams incessant.
The shouts of identifying the murderer were instantly drowned out, and even the victim who had fallen to the ground screaming, having lost both arms, was ignored by few.
Instead, the splashed blood stimulated the surrounding fanatical crowd to become even more frenzied.
Fortunately, people who run the show for business must have security forces, and the reaction here was obviously wrong, immediately attracting the attention of the people behind the monitor, and then conveying the order through the walkie-talkie, quickly locking onto Hisoka.
Seven or eight nearby guards quickly chased after him.
A minute later, a few screams sounded one after another, and then fell into silence.
A few minutes later, the woman in the red evening dress walked out slowly with a few subordinates.
Forgetting the corpses lying scattered on the ground, the woman's expression was indifferent.
"Check it out, see if there are any survivors."
The subordinate checked it, and sent over a few playing cards.
"They're all dead, playing cards directly inserted into their hearts, a very strange way to die, Madam, you need to be careful, a new superhero may have appeared in the city."
The red-clothed woman took the playing cards and looked at them briefly.
"To be able to throw ordinary playing cards as flying knives, interesting, I'm very interested in him.
Find him, send someone to bring him over, I want to see him on the boxing ring on Wednesday."
The subordinate bowed his head: "Yes, Madam."
However, what no one expected was that, just as he finished speaking, a slightly hoarse but magnetic voice suddenly came from the side.
"That's a great coincidence, I'm also very interested in you."
Several subordinates were shocked and quickly pulled out their guns to look around.
Several playing cards, like flying knives, shot from all directions, turning these few people into sieves in the blink of an eye.
Then blood splattered, and they fell to the ground and died.
Footsteps came, and a figure slowly appeared from behind.
The subordinates died in front of her eyes, but the red-clothed woman's expression didn't change at all.
After a few seconds, the red-clothed woman said.
"If you don't kill me, can we discuss the matter of going to the boxing ring?"
Hisoka's figure suddenly appeared behind her, bowing his head slightly, looking at the red-clothed woman with interest.
The red-clothed woman was calm and composed, as if nothing had happened.
After a long while, Hisoka suddenly smiled slightly.
"If I don't get a prey that satisfies me, I might just turn hostile, you know."
The red-clothed woman smiled slightly and nodded faintly.
