American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#432 - I am your father

In the silent expanse of space, a wormhole vortex suddenly erupted, and a massive interstellar mothership jumped through. From its belly, a small landing craft shot out, heading directly towards a pale purple star not far away.

Subsequently, the interstellar mothership simply left the area, shrinking to the size of a needlepoint in the blink of an eye before disappearing into the traceless void of space.

The small landing craft plunged headfirst into the atmosphere, its tail engine exploding with a thunderous roar, obliterating half of the craft.

A dozen small parachutes ejected, unfurling a small mushroom cloud behind them, drastically reducing the landing craft's descent speed.

However, due to the excessive speed, the parachute cables creaked ominously before snapping rapidly. The small landing craft merely slowed for a moment in the air before crashing headlong into the ground.

Boom!

The landing craft exploded into ruins, and five capsule-shaped escape pods were ejected, clattering and skidding to a halt on the ground.

Black smoke billowed into the sky as the landing craft turned into a wreckage. The immense noise startled the nearby small animals, who warily kept their distance.

Low-pressure valves hissed open, and the capsules popped open one after another. The Guardians of the Galaxy, a few unlucky souls, stumbled and crawled out, collapsing onto the ground, dizzy and unable to stand for quite some time.

Star-Lord, clutching his head, cursed loudly, "Damn it! He's a maniac, a complete maniac!"

The maniac he referred to was clearly Qi Shan.

"Shut up, you idiot! The situation is clearly against us, and you're still thinking about running away. It's a wonder you weren't chopped in two on the spot. You're dragging us down with you, you bastard! I swear, I'll beat the shit out of you sooner or later!"

Gamora cursed fiercely.

Her body had undergone enhancement and modification, so the impact actually didn't have much of an effect on her. She only needed a moment to recover before standing up.

Groot was completely unaffected, currently foolishly admiring the surrounding scenery.

Rocket Raccoon tenderly cradled his gun. The crash had reduced it to a pile of scrap metal, rendering it unusable.

Drax, due to his unique physiology, possessed a body that was abnormally tough. The mere impact was nothing to him. Even being thrown from space to the ground wouldn't cause him much harm.

He seemed to be thinking of something, and he was lying on the ground, chuckling foolishly.

His laughter made the leaves on the ground tremble slightly.

Star-Lord lay sprawled for a good while before groaning and pulling himself up.

"It has nothing to do with me! That's because Rocket hacked into the external network and found out what happened on Xandar. Your sister Nebula was killed by him! You saw it with your own eyes!"

"That's not my sister. We don't even have the same skin color, you idiot! Besides, she was a complete killing machine, destroying countless planets. Dying so cleanly isn't such a bad thing!" Gamora replied coldly.

The two of them had always been at odds. Although they were adopted daughters of Thanos, they had always been in competition.

Nebula's body was gradually modified into a killing machine because of the competition.

Although the two were sisters in name, they were actually enemies.

Nebula's death did have a slight impact on Gamora, but that was all.

"You two, stop arguing. What's there to fight about? Given our current situation, the most important thing is to get out of here as soon as possible.

Unless you want to see your own weird and strange old man!"

Rocket took out some tools and rummaged through the wreckage of the spaceship, giving his weapon a simple repair. Feeling that it was barely usable, he nodded and beckoned for the two to follow him.

The group followed Rocket, exploring the unfamiliar forest step by step.

Gamora said, "Our top priority now is survival, and secondly, to explore this planet. If the information they provided earlier is accurate, then this planet is extremely dangerous."

Drax, holding a tree branch in his hand, looked around, seemingly playing the role of bodyguard. Hearing this, he casually said, "I think we should find a spaceship first and leave here as soon as possible!"

"I've already sent out a signal. I just don't know when Yondu will arrive!"

Looking at Star-Lord's slightly smug face, Gamora couldn't help but feel annoyed. If it weren't for his bloodline, she wouldn't have been thrown onto a living planet for no reason.

Although they had watched out for each other in prison and their conflicts had been resolved a lot, seeing his annoying face still made her want to punch him.

Just as Gamora was about to act, an oval-shaped spaceship suddenly appeared in the sky.

The spaceship's design was so strange, like a peeled, boiled egg.

The group immediately became alert, standing back-to-back, their eyes fixed on the strange spaceship.

The spaceship slowly landed in front of them, its hull partially embedded into the ground, with the edge of the 'yolk' touching the surface.

At this moment, the energy shield dissipated, the yolk disappeared, revealing an oval-shaped hatch, and two strangely dressed humanoid lifeforms slowly walked out.

On the left was a long-haired lady. Her appearance was a bit strange. She had two antennae growing on her forehead, which were emitting a faint glow. She twisted her hands together, seeming a bit nervous.

The other person was much more natural. He looked like an ordinary middle-aged man, with white hair and beard, a calm demeanor, and a kind face.

His appearance looked like an ordinary Earthling, and he looked five points similar to Star-Lord.

Holy shit!

Star-Lord widened his eyes and cursed inwardly.

Could it be that what was written in the data was true? Otherwise, why would they look so similar?

Moreover, the more he observed, the more he felt a sense of familiarity, as if it was a sense of familiarity excavated from the depths of his memory, making him feel both at ease and warm.

"What a surprise!"

The old man stretched out his arms, the corners of his mouth slightly raised. The look in his eyes at Star-Lord became more and more gentle. He gently shook his head: "After so many years, I searched in the universe, from hope to disappointment and then to despair, but I never thought you would suddenly appear in front of me like this!"

"Who exactly are you?" Star-Lord asked warily.

The rest of the teammates were also on guard. These people could be said to be veterans who had experienced hundreds of battles, and they had an unparalleled sensitivity to auras.

The moment they saw the old man, they quickly determined the other party's strength, and their hearts naturally added a bit of vigilance.

"Can't you tell from my old and cool face?" The old man chuckled: "My name is Ego, Peter, I am your father!"
