American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#474 - First Battle of Tomie

In the dense forest, a special CIA team lay hidden in the undergrowth, using binoculars to observe a distant villa.

They had covertly infiltrated Russian territory through CIA channels to capture Sebastian Shaw.

They had previously received information that a Russian general had appeared at the Hellfire Club, and they suspected that Russia had an unspeakable deal with the Hellfire Club. Therefore, they prepared to take a risky action to take down Sebastian Shaw as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, they came with great fanfare, but Sebastian didn't even show up. Instead, two shapely women emerged from the helicopter.

"It's the White Queen," Erik said, lowering his binoculars, his expression grim.

"Where's Shaw?" Agent Moira asked.

"I don't know! And there's a newcomer!" Charles frowned: "Emma is a bit of a problem. She's also a telepath. If I read her mind, she'll immediately know our location. I'll try other methods!"

The place was clearly a general's residence, heavily guarded. Not only were there armed soldiers everywhere, but there were also barbed wire isolation zones.

Not far behind them were the barracks. If any commotion were to break out, a large force would rush over at any moment.

Even if they could retreat safely, it would be difficult to explain to their superiors.

Charles quickly controlled a soldier and read the scenes he had witnessed earlier from his mind.

"Shaw probably won't come! Emma said they were both fully representing him!" Charles turned his head and asked, "What do we do now?"

Moira shook her head: "Our target is Shaw. Since he's not here, the mission is canceled. We're withdrawing!"

Erik became agitated: "We came all this way to do nothing? She's the second-in-command of the Hellfire Club. She must know a lot of important information. I can't just give up like this."

With that, he got up and disappeared into the trees.

Moira tried to grab him but failed, and whispered: "The CIA infiltrating a Soviet military camp could easily trigger an international incident! Charles, stop him!"

Charles patted Moira on the shoulder and smiled: "Don't worry, we're not CIA!"

With that, he also followed, crouching low.

Moira couldn't catch her breath and rolled her eyes in anger.

The soldiers of the assault team looked at each other, wisely remaining silent.

Inside the villa, Emma and Tomie sat on the sofa, watching the gray-haired general indulge in his solo performance on the bed.

"So, we don't have to do anything?" Tomie said.

"It's already being done!" Emma said, eating potato chips, glancing at the old general, "Strictly speaking, he didn't say anything, and I didn't ask anything. After it's over, he'll only remember a moment of pleasure. Yet, without realizing it, we already know all his secrets. That's the common people! A bunch of poor worms!"

Tomie was expressionless.

"Speaking of which, you're very special!" Emma glanced at Tomie, not saying it explicitly, but a hint of fear flashed in her eyes.

Clearly, she had tried to peek into Tomie's mind, but the result was terrible.

If Qishan were here, he might have laughed.

Tomie is an aggregate of malice, especially after activating her Nen ability, she has almost become a vessel for malice.

Reading Tomie's mind, not being directly shocked into an idiot is already fortunate.

If one is not careful and is submerged by malice, one's personality will sink slowly like falling into a swamp until it is completely devoured by malice.

Emma was only given a fleeting glimpse, but she was frightened by the malice in Tomie's mind.

Bang!

The door was suddenly kicked open, and Erik and Charles rushed in. They had been quite imposing, after all, they had taken down many soldiers along the way, bringing murderous intent.

"Agh!"

Erik cried out in pain, covering his eyes.

Charles' eyelids twitched wildly. He forced himself to ignore the general and focused his gaze on Emma. After a long pause, he blurted out: "Nice trick!"

With a wave of his hand, he dispelled Emma's illusion.

The old general suddenly woke up. Seeing two more men in the room, he flew into a rage and immediately reached for his gun.

But he forgot that his pants were no longer on him. Charles was quick-witted. With a wave of sleep-inducing energy, the old general fell asleep, stark naked.

Snoring started in the blink of an eye.

Emma stood up, her entire body transforming into crystalline diamond.

"I'll leave them to you, Tomie!"

Tomie didn't answer, simply grabbing a handful of her hair and throwing it out.

The hair quickly gathered into a ball in the air, expanding as if inflating a balloon. As it shattered upon landing, it transformed into a dozen Tomies wearing black robes, each wielding two tactical knives made of twisted hair, and they charged forward.

With Qishan's energy supply, Tomie's generation speed is getting faster and faster. Now, it doesn't even take a second to fully create a human figure with weapons.

Moreover, after activating her Nen ability, her physical fitness has undergone a qualitative improvement.

Even if her moves and routines are still somewhat weak, she can still deal with ordinary special forces soldiers.

The dozen female assassins pounced, startling both men.

Erik instinctively wanted to control the weapons, but he was almost cut in half by a knife.

Charles had just probed his consciousness into Tomie's mind when everything went black, followed by a dizzying sensation.

He staggered and almost fell to his death, quickly withdrawing his consciousness.

Both men retreated repeatedly, their faces filled with unconcealable shock. Their previous momentum had long since disappeared without a trace.

Seeing the two men flustered under the siege of the Tomies, Emma smiled contentedly and picked up her coat, saying: "The information has been obtained, let's go!"

Tomie's main body didn't say a word of nonsense and turned to leave.

"Wait! Where's Shaw?" Erik shouted.

After the initial panic, he quickly changed his tactics, controlling all the metal objects in the room to use as weapons, forcibly tearing a hole in the siege of the Tomies.

Charles tried to read Emma's thoughts, but was shocked back.

Emma smiled and said: "Don't waste your energy, honey. In defensive mode, you can't see any information!"

The only delay allowed the Tomies to pounce again.

Their movements were swift, and their weapons were imbued with strange energy. Every slash could unleash a tiny blade, cutting the ground and ceiling with dense knife marks.

Erik couldn't dodge in time and took a solid hit on his thigh, his eyes instantly turning red.

He roared and directly twisted the metal into a spear, piercing the heart of a Tomie.

"Erik!" Charles shouted, quickly stepping forward to stop him.

Under no circumstances should he kill anyone. This was Charles' bottom line.

He looked at the fallen Tomie in shock, his heart filled with remorse.

I should have stopped him sooner! If I hadn't been a step late, she wouldn't have... Huh? Not dead?

Before Charles could finish his train of thought, he saw the Tomie with the spear rushing over again, a rosy complexion on her face, and slashing down with a knife.
