American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#5 - People are forced out.

I slept soundly through the night, and the next morning, the little fatty had indeed disappeared.

"I was still waiting for you to bring people back to make trouble, but you actually just ran away."

Qi Shan shrugged, did a quick wash, then rummaged through the kitchenette, making some bacon, eggs, and toast.

He leisurely made himself a hearty breakfast.

This fatty clearly didn't like milk; the refrigerator was full of beer.

This was a bit of a disappointment to Qi Shan.

After tidying up, he called Laurie.

The call connected, and Qi Shan had just stated his identity and hadn't had time to ask about business when he was met with a barrage of questions.

"God, what did you do last night? The police station's emergency line was blown up. Omar's gang retreated overnight, and the whole house burned like a torch, illuminating the surrounding three blocks.

This matter has caused a sensation in the neighborhood, and even the police superintendent has personally inquired about it. The aftermath is still not over, and more than two investigation teams are investigating the cause of the fire. What exactly did you do?"

"Relax, relax, no one was hurt, right? Last night was just the first step. Now tell me Omar's location. After what happened yesterday, I think he should seriously consider my proposal."

"What are you going to do again?"

Qi Shan was displeased with this tone of questioning, and his voice turned slightly cold: "This is how I do things. If you don't like it, you can call it off.

Then use the private power of a suspended police officer to do some useless work. Maybe in three to five months, you'll receive your daughter's body, and maybe even a good piece of meat will be left.

Listen, I don't like your tone. You can choose now, either give me the information I want immediately, or cling to your ridiculous moral values and die."

"…"

There was a moment of silence on the other end, then a low voice said, "Omar is at a warehouse on 23rd Street."

Qi Shan hung up the phone, got up, and left.

One of the great things about America is that there are cars everywhere, and they're quite cheap.

So most Americans don't value cars very much.

If you're patient, it's easy to find cars with unlocked doors, and some even have the keys on the dashboard.

Just like in the movies.

Of course, Qi Shan wasn't planning to do that; it was too time-consuming. He looked around and chose a Mercedes-Benz SUV.

He walked to the driver's side, raised his hand and smashed the window, reached in to unlock it, and then opened the door.

He brushed away the broken glass shards on the seat and sat directly in the driver's seat.

The car theft tutorials in TV shows are 90% nonsense.

The step of connecting the ignition wires is correct, but pulling off the dashboard is not that simple.

Sometimes, this kind of thing can be frustratingly strong.

But now it was no problem for Qi Shan.

He just reached out and grabbed it, without even using too much force, and the dashboard was torn to pieces.

He pulled out the ignition wires and tentatively touched them together a couple of times, and the car started immediately. He quickly connected the two wires, shifted gears with his right hand, coordinated with his foot, and the car drove away.

Speaking of which, he learned this little trick when he was in the army.

Later, when he was doing business, it would occasionally come in handy.

He didn't expect that after transmigrating, he would still be able to use it.

After passing through a few streets, he quickly arrived at the intersection of 23rd Street. Qi Shan parked slowly on the side of the road and patiently observed.

Omar was the boss of the neighborhood, so there must be guards at the entrance. It was easy to find him; if there were people guarding the warehouse entrance, then that was definitely the right place.

He pushed the door open and walked over slowly.

Qi Shan's attire was very distinctive, and the thugs guarding the entrance recognized him at a glance. They greeted him with some panic, and four or five people immediately ran out of the warehouse.

The leading thug raised his gun, and the others followed suit, raising their guns. A series of firing pin sounds rang out, and the atmosphere suddenly became tense.

At this moment, two cars suddenly rushed over from North Street, attracting the thugs' attention.

The leading thug's expression changed, and he turned and ran into the warehouse.

The cars braked sharply, and seven or eight people piled out. The leader was wearing a blue plaid shirt and had a ponytail, with a fierce look on his face.

His underlings were vaguely arranged in a fan shape, protecting him in the center.

Needless to say, he was another boss.

He glanced at Qi Shan, not paying too much attention, and instead unscrupulously sized up the group of thugs.

Omar led his men out, his expression somewhat dignified.

"Vega? What are you doing here?"

"Don't be nervous." Vega chuckled, reaching out to straighten the pendant on Omar's neck. "I like your neighborhood. It's clean and tidy, and everyone seems happy. Did you get my goods?"

"Not yet, and there definitely won't be any in the future. I said last week that that was the last time.

I also have brothers, and my brothers need to eat too. It's impossible to give you all the benefits."

"No, no, no, how can you call them benefits? It should be called protection money."

Vega's face turned cold, his eyes sharpened, and he poked Omar in the chest: "Otherwise, danger could happen at any time. Oh, right, I heard there was an explosion in your house yesterday? Don't worry, it's just a small problem. If you don't give me my goods, it will happen again in the future, I guarantee it."

The two stared at each other for a few seconds, and seeing that the people on the other side had already pulled out their submachine guns, Omar could only relent.

"I understand, you'll get your goods. I'll send them to you in three days. Now get out."

"Get out?" Vega sneered: "Are you sure you want to use that word? Listen, you must send my goods before noon tomorrow. I no longer want ordinary medicinal materials, but also those prescription drugs.

My people will be waiting for you at Warehouse 26. If anything unexpected happens, hum hum…"

Vega didn't finish speaking, waved his hand, and left with his men in the cars.

Watching the two cars drive away, Omar's face turned black, and he turned to stare at Qi Shan and said, "So what about you? What are you here for? You think a mere bomb can scare me? Do you believe I'll have people chop you into pieces?"

Qi Shan remained unmoved, raised his hand and pointed at the two cars.

"Is his strength stronger than yours? If something goes wrong with that batch of goods, I don't know what will happen to you and your brothers?"

Click, click.

A series of firing pin sounds.

The group raised their guns again.

Omar shouted excitedly: "If you dare touch a finger to my goods, I'll blow your head off."

"Oh? Is that so? Then why not try it now."

Omar was immediately caught in a dilemma, and the situation suddenly froze.

Qi Shan waited for a full ten seconds, left a phone number, and then slowly turned around.

"Find Piper, otherwise I guarantee that batch of goods will end up like this."

After speaking, he snapped his fingers, and a car not far away suddenly exploded.

Flames soared into the sky, and the entire car seemed to be blown apart, jumping 30 centimeters high in place before crashing heavily to the ground.

The sudden explosion startled everyone.

The raging flames set off Qi Shan's gradually receding figure, emitting a sense of inexplicable fear.

"Ah!"

Bang bang bang!

Omar roared madly, firing his handgun wildly at the burning vehicle until the magazine was empty, then he threw the handgun on the ground.

He panted heavily, stared fiercely at Qi Shan's back, and shouted, "Have people find Piper Rex!"

Hearing this from afar, a hint of a smile appeared on the corner of Qi Shan's mouth.

He turned the corner, walked slowly along the street, bought a cell phone along the way, and bought some sandwiches at a bakery, eating as he walked.

The bombs were used up; that was the last of the stock.

With the two previous persuasions, he believed there would be results soon.

He took out his phone and called Laurie, asking him to pay attention to incoming calls, as there might be news of Piper at any time.

Although Laurie was skeptical, he was somewhat pleasantly surprised and quickly agreed.

The time was set for noon tomorrow, but according to Qi Shan's estimate, with the strength and information channels of the community gangs, they could find Piper's location in at most three hours.

If nothing unexpected happened, he would be able to complete this task before sunset today.

At this moment, four or five masked robbers suddenly rushed out of the bank on the street corner. Just as they were about to get into the car, a figure descended from the sky and directly smashed the car flat.

The robbers brazenly opened fire, and bullets rained down like popping beans.

Unfortunately, when they hit the person, they could only splash out a few sparks, and then the bullets deformed and fell to the ground, unable to even delay the person's footsteps.

Hearing the gunshots, the surrounding people fled in panic.

Qi Shan watched with interest, continuing to devour the sandwich.

Blonde hair, a red cape, black stockings, although he couldn't see her face, it was clear that this was Supergirl.

Walking forward against the bullets was no different for Supergirl than walking against a few snowflakes.

The robbers' minds had long collapsed, and they were blank except for frantically pulling the trigger.

Supergirl got close and disarmed them with a few simple moves.

Then she pulled out the men's belts and tied them into a bundle.

Then she stomped on the ground and soared into the sky, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

By the time everything was resolved, the police car had rushed over from two blocks away.

Watching them skillfully surround the scene and pick up the pieces.

Qi Shan threw away the packaging in his hand and turned to leave.

"Supergirl, huh? A bit interesting."

The phone rang, it was Laurie.

"Mike, Omar found her, that bitch Piper."

Qi Shan was a little surprised: "So fast, it's only been 15 minutes."

"Because Piper appeared swaggeringly in Omar's territory, currently at the intersection of Seventeenth Avenue and the river. Can you get over here as soon as possible? I think I might need your help."

"Okay."
