Since the Middle Ages, capitalist empires have been breeding grounds for cults.

In the 21st century, the United States sees hundreds of new cults emerging every year.

Whenever a major upheaval occurs in a place, cults spring up like mushrooms after a rain.

Qi Shan has never been good at managing things.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen to use force when expanding the Celestial Eye Society in the main world.

Controlling the main world to that extent was entirely due to leveraging various black technologies and using absolute power to create an overwhelming advantage against the chaotic forces of Earth.

Furthermore, it was only under Alice's surveillance that he completely seized control of Earth.

If their strengths were equal, Qi Shan would never have been a match for bald Nick Fury.

After all, that old fox is the King of Spies, who has been playing mind games since the mid-20th century, with endless tricks up his sleeve and never trusting anyone.

He's ruthless and has his own set of calculations, and when the goal is big enough, he can abandon any bottom line.

Qi Shan deeply admires such a person but doesn't want to interact with him much.

Therefore, after the Celestial Eye Society gained a foothold, Nick Fury disappeared without a word, and Qi Shan didn't say anything.

Even if he took away the Avengers, Qi Shan just laughed it off.

If he really wanted to be serious, even if he couldn't really harm the superheroes, he could make their lives miserable.

It's just making things difficult, very simple.

Qi Shan left, and SHIELD was bound to be in chaos, but that had nothing to do with him.

His descent wasn't to play mind games with SHIELD.

Standing on the streets of New York, watching the crowds of people coming and going, Qi Shan's mouth revealed a smile.

"Little cabbages, I'm here!"

----

New York, Central Avenue Japanese Restaurant.

Grant Ward sat opposite a well-dressed old man.

"Kraken, one of HYDRA's finest symbols."

The old man smiled, as if chanting: "Intelligent, adaptable, and a ruthless killer, almost a perfect predator, just like you!"

Ward raised an eyebrow: "Wow, your praise is quite special!

It's certainly a scary symbol, but it's not my ideal dinner, but..."

Ward picked up a live octopus, watching it struggle and tear at his fingers, then suddenly opened his mouth and swallowed it whole.

"...I am quite adaptable!"

Chewing the octopus, Ward looked at the old man opposite him: "I hope you are too!"

The old man remained noncommittal, "That depends on what you want to ask for!"

"The Chamber!" Ward stared at him.

The old man chuckled: "Just a rumor, I don't know where your information comes from.

You've certainly been making some big moves lately, even severely damaging the Trask branch.

I know what you're looking for, but it's useless! That thing doesn't exist."

Too bad you're not at the top of the food chain."

As soon as the door opened, the old man quickly walked out, the security guard vigilantly following closely behind.

The next second, a dozen well-equipped armed personnel rushed in, opening fire without saying a word.

Ward wasn't someone to be trifled with, he was originally an action team member, and a double agent, surviving in the cracks between HYDRA and SHIELD, gunfights were commonplace.

Before the other party could even pull out their guns, Ward had already kicked over the dining table, the octopus feast flying in the air, and a silver plate had already flown over, directly knocking down an enemy.

The pistol slipped out of his hand, Ward immediately rolled over, caught the pistol in mid-air, and with two quick shots, two people were killed directly.

After a successful strike, he immediately rolled into cover.

Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang!

The room instantly became a battlefield, bullets flying everywhere, screams constantly.

Fortunately, the table was thick, riddled with holes, but not a single bullet penetrated it.

Ward defended behind the table, occasionally firing back.

He succeeded repeatedly, and in just a dozen seconds, only two of the opponents were left alive.

The bullets were used up, and the enemy escaped a disaster.

Before he could show a look of rejoicing, Ward suddenly leaped up and kicked him out.

Turning back, he grabbed two billiard balls, smashed one out, and knocked down another enemy who was about to rush over, grabbing the other one and forcibly stuffing it into that person's mouth.

That person's mouth was wide open, unable to spit it out or swallow it, stuck in his throat, choking him until his eyes rolled back, and he looked like he was about to die on the spot.

Another one just got up, and was scared out of his wits when he saw such a scene.

He subconsciously wanted to rush forward, but Ward suddenly turned his head, and his sharp eyes actually scared him back a step.

This step just happened to step on the billiard ball that had just hit him, and he fell backwards, directly fainting, unable to get up for a long time.

Ward glanced at him, shrugged, stepped forward and kicked him in the crotch.

There was a scream, a cloud of blood burst open in his crotch, his eyes rolled back and he lost consciousness directly.

Ward gasped a few times, picked up a half-bottle of red wine that had fallen on the ground, and took a big gulp.

After resting for a while, Ward picked and chose from the dozen or so people, picked up three who were still breathing, and lined them up together.

He turned around and sat on the billiard table, playing with the billiard balls, drinking red wine.

"So, Malik wants to kill me, then it proves that the previous speculation was correct.

Actually, I know where the Chamber is, but I don't know how to get in.

You are often around Malik, so you must have had some contact with it.

This is the Chamber, HYDRA's greatest power, aren't you curious?"

"We won't help you!" One person said decisively.

Bang!

A billiard ball slammed into his forehead, and the man instantly fainted.

"Sorry, I missed!

I've been busy lately, it's been a long time since I've played baseball, my hand is a little rusty!"

Ward joked, and another billiard ball flew over, directly breaking that person's neck.

Seeing his companion die in an instant, a trace of fear flashed in the eyes of the other two.

Ward smiled happily.

"Now, let me see who's at the top of the food chain!"
