#577 - Wood Release Thousands of Hands!
Bang!
Amidst a cacophony of twisting wood, massive timbers burst forth from the sea, intertwining and contorting, transforming in the blink of an eye into a colossal wooden figure.
The wooden figure stood tens of meters tall, its wood hard and sturdy, possessing distinct features. Atop its head, a crown formed an observation platform, where A Fei stood, hands forming a seal, a smile playing on his lips.
Sardath was stunned.
What the hell was this? You were playing with energy just fine, and suddenly you conjure up a giant puppet? Trying to engage in a brawl?
Green Lantern was also taken aback, but immediately followed up with a blast of green energy.
The tentative attack proved utterly ineffective; the wooden figure simply waved its hand, shattering the green energy orb into fragments.
"Is this all you've got? How pathetic! No wonder Lord Madara says you're rootless, not even worth absorbing!
Don't die too soon, I'm not done playing yet!"
As the words faded, the seal formed by his hands shifted, and he roared, "Wood Release: Wood Dragon Technique!"
The wood on the giant puppet's right shoulder twisted, expanding and stretching into shape. A massive wooden dragon materialized directly on the puppet's shoulder.
Subsequently, the giant puppet threw a punch, and the wooden dragon coiling on its shoulder flew out, swallowing Green Lantern whole with lightning speed.
"Hal!"
Sardath's eyes turned bloodshot, and his yellow ring flashed. A rope of intertwined green and yellow energy appeared, instantly binding the wooden dragon tightly.
Sardath pulled back, the rope contracting, causing Mu-rong to open its mouth and roar uncontrollably.
"You bastard, spit him out!"
Sardath roared, his other hand forming a massive green fist, slamming down towards the dragon's head.
With a bang, the dragon's head was smashed to pieces, and Green Lantern was thrown out in a disheveled state.
He assumed that this high-intensity compressed energy, capable of penetrating the Earth's core, would easily destroy a wooden dragon. Little did he know that the moment the shield touched the wood, energy began to drain away.
It was as if this wooden dragon was a living creature, devouring energy.
Green Lantern was shocked and instinctively contracted his energy, but the wood inside the Wood Dragon grew up and down like closing fangs, leaving him no room to evade. Within seconds, he was trapped in its belly.
Just as he was at a loss, a sudden force struck from the outside, the teeth pressing against the shield, the intense pressure causing cracks to appear.
Before he could react, the shield shattered abruptly, and he was flung out.
Fortunately, Green Lantern was a top-notch pilot; a bit of spinning was no match for him. Within a fraction of a second, he quickly reoriented himself, and green energy surged from his right hand, rapidly forming a delta wing behind him.
After a simple adjustment, he stabilized himself.
Seeing that Green Lantern was unharmed, Sardath ceased to pay attention. He clenched his right fist, yellow-green energy coiling together to form a giant hammer several hundred meters in diameter.
The hammer swung horizontally, slamming heavily into the wooden figure's waist.
The towering wooden figure offered no resistance and was instantly smashed into two pieces, the upper half spinning away, wood chips flying everywhere.
A Fei was not spared either. He was thrown into the air, but instead of displaying any frustration, he smiled gleefully, his eyes fixed on Sardath's direction: "Interesting, interesting! So, there are such interesting moves! Looks like I need to get a little serious!
Kid, don't die on me!"
The body controlled by A Fei landed nimbly on the sea surface, splashing a large expanse of ripples, leaving two scorching trails before standing firmly.
A smile stretched across his lips as he clasped his hands together, forming a Buddhist prayer seal. After a slight bow, his hair moved despite the absence of wind.
"Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands!"
Rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble!
The earth trembled, and the sea churned as if boiling.
In Sardath's astonished gaze, an immensely colossal Thousand-Armed Avalokiteśvara emerged slowly from the sea.
A behemoth with a diameter of roughly 3000 meters appeared before them.
A thousand hands were densely arranged behind it, layers upon layers, long and short, forming a substantial halo.
Each hand could easily crush a wooden figure.
Amidst their shocked gazes, A Fei, piloting the tens-of-meters-tall wooden figure, sat on the Buddha's head like a toy.
"Well then, let's begin round two!"
With a deafening roar, the giant Buddha statue shot out horizontally, bringing with it boundless waves, crushing the obstructing giant meteorites into fragments without difficulty, heading straight for Green Lantern and Sardath.
Green Lantern was completely dumbfounded.
What was going on? When did such a monster appear on Earth? Were they even supposed to survive?
Sardath grew increasingly enraged. His body gradually swelled, strands of yellow energy flowing across his skin. His original green battle suit was now being eroded by yellow energy, and the symbol of the Green Lantern Corps on his chest had transformed into a badge of fury.
At this moment, Green Lantern finally noticed Sardath's odd behavior.
He exclaimed in shock, "Sardath, you…"
Before he could finish his sentence, Sardath, somewhat blinded by rage, lashed out with a slap. The giant yellow palm sent Green Lantern flying.
He crashed into the beach like a cannonball and vanished instantly.
Sardath roared and charged head-on towards the terrifying True Several Thousand Hands.
A Fei laughed aloud, and thousands of fists launched simultaneously, forming a dense, sun-obscuring formation, crashing down like Mount Tai pressing down.
Sardath's body swelled, and massive amounts of energy surged within him. Yellow energy continuously poured out from his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, further eroding his green battle suit.
The yellow energy formed a rhomboid defensive fortress around him.
Sardath wielded a giant blade, spinning out whirls upon whirls of afterimages.
The giant fists slammed down, striking the fortress like heavy hammers. Each impact shattered a portion of the yellow energy, causing the entire fortress to tremble.
However, after each instance of damage, the yellow energy would restore it to its original state within milliseconds. Then, Sardath would sever the fist with his blade.
This repeated continuously!
Apart from causing a large amount of damage and repair, a massive amount of energy was being consumed. At the same time, a large number of wooden fists continued to fall from the sky, like stones filling the sea, filling this entire area in a matter of seconds.
For a time, the two sides were locked in a stalemate!
