American Comics: BOSS Invasion
#63 - Encounter
In a dimly lit alleyway, a drunkard fled in a panic, stumbling and crawling, utterly disheveled.
Tap! Tap! Tap!
The night was deep, and the surroundings were eerily quiet. The unhurried footsteps behind him and the drunkard's terrified panting amplified endlessly, creating an atmosphere of terror.
The drunkard desperately fled for his life, and as he turned a corner, he tripped head over heels.
A towering, robust figure appeared before him.
"Prisoner 2212, reveal your true form!"
The voice was low and hoarse, carrying immense pressure.
In the dim light, the drunkard could only make out a general outline, but he was instantly terrified to the point of losing his soul. He cried out and turned to run.
He didn't even care about the danger he had been trying to escape just moments before.
The figure calmly drew out a short, stick-like object and threw it with a flick of the wrist.
The short stick unfolded in the air, extending a steel cable crackling with electricity, which accurately bound the drunkard's calf.
Bang!
The drunkard fell heavily to the ground, his cheek scraping against the surface, leaving several bloody streaks and a few drops of green liquid.
"No! No! Let me go! Please let me go!"
The drunkard's face was filled with terror. Seeing the figure approaching, he seemed to see a terrifying nightmare. He curled up into a ball, his body trembling uncontrollably.
"Reveal your true form!" The hoarse voice repeated.
"Okay, okay! Let me go! I beg you!"
The drunkard's body curled up slightly, and his figure began to change. He swelled up all around, his ears grew longer, his mouth grew larger, and his limbs shortened by a third.
In appearance, he looked like a large, humanoid dog.
He lay on the ground, constantly begging.
The figure remained unmoved. Without making any discernible action, his helmet quickly retracted, revealing a stern and cold white face.
He stared coldly at the humanoid dog and said icily, "Prisoner 2212, guilty of ingredient theft and murder, sentenced to 220 years in prison. Now, for escaping prison, you are sentenced to death. Final judgment, no appeal, execution immediately!"
He slowly raised his right hand, and the armor on his arm rapidly transformed, quickly forming a blue-glowing axe.
Then he raised his right hand and swung it down fiercely.
With a whoosh, blood splattered, and the dog's head went flying.
The corpse twitched twice and then became still.
Tap, tap, tap…
The sound of footsteps was still approaching, but he didn't care even though he clearly heard it.
He retracted the axe and raised his left arm to open a light screen.
He tapped it a couple of times.
On the light screen, a picture of a large dog wearing a prisoner's uniform was marked with the words 'Executed'.
A pair of large eyes stared intently at his face, her face filled with unbelievable joy.
"Master, is it really you? That's great, it really is you. Have you been resurrected too? Thank Heaven!"
The girl jumped up and down excitedly, then suddenly pounced on him.
He was slightly stunned, and then a girl was in his arms.
"I am not…"
Before he could finish his sentence, a momentary look of confusion appeared on his face.
Neither of them noticed that in the sky above, a smoky font quietly appeared.

Then it directly dissipated into nothing.
He paused slightly, then a smile appeared on his face.
"I'm sorry, you may have mistaken me for someone else!"
The girl hurriedly raised her head and said, "How could I mistake you? You are my master. Have you forgotten the night raid? It was those bastards who killed you and me."
He looked slightly dazed, then shook his head.
"Miss, I don't understand what you're saying. I am the warden of Rozburg Prison. You can call me Dreaper."
The girl looked at him seriously and nodded in understanding.
"Master's memory is fragmented? But it's really amazing, even so, you still don't forget to carry out justice? As expected of my master. Since you are now a prison warden…"
She suddenly took a step back, raised her hand in a salute, and said seriously, "Seryu Ubiquitous. Formerly belonging to the Imperial Capital Guard, now applying for a transfer to prison warden to execute escaped prisoners."
Dreaper was slightly taken aback, then smiled and nodded, "Although I don't know where you came from, I acknowledge your righteous heart. Welcome, Warden Ubiquitous."
The girl smiled happily, "Seryu! Oh, right, this is Koro!"
Dreaper looked at Koro, who was being held by the girl, and nodded, "Welcome, Seryu!"
Seryu nodded vigorously, but just as she was about to speak, her stomach let out a rumbling sound.
Her face flushed slightly.
Dreaper smiled, "Are you hungry? I'm a little hungry too. I know a pizzeria nearby that's open 24 hours, and it tastes very good. Would you like to try it?"
"Okay, okay!"
The girl said happily, "As expected, Master is the best! Don't you think so, Koro?"
"Woof?" The little white dog looked blank.
"Wait a moment, I need to clean up the prisoner's head!"
Dreaper took out a small box from his body, placed it on the ground, and gently pressed it. The small box instantly inflated and enlarged, forming an object similar to a thermal container.
Then Dreaper reached out and put the dog's head on the ground into it and closed the lid.
"Okay, let's go!"
"Woof woof?"
The little white dog whined twice, and Seryu was slightly stunned, "Are you saying that this is one of those two people just now?"
The little white dog nodded.
Seryu looked down and asked, "Master, do you still need this body?"
"Uh… no!"
"Then I'll use it to feed Koro!"
The little white dog wagged its tail excitedly. As soon as Seryu's voice fell, the dog's head instantly expanded and swallowed the corpse on the ground in one bite.
Dreaper only felt a blur before his eyes, and then the corpse on the ground disappeared, replaced by drops of saliva.
He gave Koro a strange look, then looked at the girl who was smiling happily.
His stomach was full of complaints, but he didn't know where to start, so he was directly stunned there.
What did I just see? A huge dog's head? Is that this little white dog? Where on earth did she come from?
"Master, hurry up, I'm starving," Seryu urged.
"Alright, come with me."
Dreaper came back to his senses and led Seryu away slowly, with Koro following excitedly behind them, their footsteps gradually fading away.
The alley returned to silence, leaving only two patches of blood.
No one knew that these two patches of blood represented two completely disappeared people.
The dim lights flickered, adding an eerie atmosphere to the alley with only the green blood left on the ground.
