American Comics: BOSS Invasion
#819 - Terror Cruise
When he saw the mustached man earlier, Qi Shan felt that he looked familiar. Now, seeing the other friends, especially the face of the woman he admired, he finally confirmed it.
He had inadvertently become involved in the plot of the movie *Triangle*!
This was getting interesting!
The plot of *Triangle* is simple: a woman falls into an endless loop, trying to find her child, but never succeeding.
Because she broke her promise to the Grim Reaper, she experiences the same loop over and over again. Each time she sees the terrifying cruise ship appear, it is the beginning of a new cycle. She can only struggle for survival in the endless loop, going through death and rebirth, never finding release.
Qi Shan had a deep impression of this movie because it was a relatively classic science fiction film from earlier years, and its logic was self-consistent.
The appearance of the loop phenomenon in it once deeply attracted Qi Shan's attention.
Therefore, he was already very familiar with the plot, and with his body having undergone a series of enhancements, his memory was now even more vivid.
He was now replacing a character who served as background, destined to be killed by the female lead again and again.
If Qi Shan replaced his identity, the situation would be completely different. In fact, he was now very curious if he would be copied by this strange space-time, since he replaced a supporting character who was endlessly duplicated.
Anticipatingly, he licked his lips; he was actually looking forward to seeing another version of himself.
What would it be like if he fought himself?
"Help, help!"
A cry for help came from the side. Qi Shan quickly ran over and reached out to pull a long-haired woman out of the water.
Well, not *that* one, but another woman.
"Are you okay?"
Qi Shan asked with feigned concern. The woman gasped for breath, spitting out seawater from time to time, unable to answer.
The second woman shouted, "Did anyone see Sid? He was just swept out of the window by a wave!"
The woman's expression was panicked. After speaking, she didn't even wait for Qi Shan to answer, turning her head and shouting Sid's name loudly.
Sid should be her husband. The woman seemed to be called Downey.
"Sid! Sid!"
"Downey, Sarah, where are you?"
In the somewhat chaotic scene, everyone helped each other, gradually being pulled onto the small lifeboat.
The female lead, Jess, finally appeared before Qi Shan's eyes. She was also wearing a life jacket, and her figure was indeed good.
Underneath the denim shorts were two straight and slender legs. Although her skin was a bit rough, her features were very delicate. Her long hair was soaked in seawater, sticking together in clumps at the back.
A cold wind blew, and Jess couldn't help but shiver.
Qi Shan nodded secretly in his heart. As expected of a billionaire, he really knew how to play. If he remembered correctly, this woman was not only married but also had a son who was several years old.
She also seemed to have mental problems, manic-depression or something? He couldn't remember exactly!
Now that he had entered the plot, he had to act according to the relationships in the story.
He was very confident in his acting skills.
Qi Shan quickly ran to Jess's side and asked gently, "How are you? Did you choke on any water? Is any part of your body uncomfortable?"
Jess only shook her head, shivering from time to time.
Qi Shan stroked Jess's back as if to comfort her, and shouted loudly, "Is everyone okay?"
"We're okay! It's just that we're trapped here now and can't get out for the time being!"
Everyone looked at the sun above their heads and the endless sea, not knowing what to say.
In Qi Shan's perception, the terrifying cruise ship had been heading in his direction. Under normal circumstances, it should have already appeared on the horizon, so why was there no sign of it yet?
After sensing it slightly, Qi Shan's expression became strange. The terrifying cruise ship was actually treading water in place.
There were clearly ripples behind the ship, drawing two white waves, but the ship's position remained fixed outside their field of vision.
He looked at the big sun above his head and then at his companions, who were deeply fatigued after escaping death, sitting in their respective positions, unwilling to say even a word.
There were a total of six people on this boat. Besides Qi Shan and the female lead, Jess, there were four extras.
They were the mustached man's roommate and his girlfriend, and another older couple.
Qi Shan shook his head and sat next to Jess.
According to the original plot, he should say something flirtatious at this time, finding something to say to get closer to Jess.
But Qi Shan really had no interest in talking nonsense. It was just a matter of waiting a little longer until Jess's mental state reached a critical point, at which point the terrifying cruise ship would officially enter the scene.
Sure enough, just as the seagulls were squawking overhead and everyone's skin was about to become oily from the scorching sun, the position of the terrifying cruise ship finally moved.
It almost appeared in the sunlight all at once.
Jess, as if having a telepathic connection, suddenly turned her head, watching the familiar yet strange giant ship slowly appear before her eyes, her whole body stunned.
The roommate accidentally turned his head and suddenly saw the terrifying cruise ship, instantly becoming excited: "Thank God, a ship is finally coming!"
Then he waved his arms and shouted loudly: "Hey, we're here, come and save us."
The older couple hugged each other, the husband, Sid, pointing in the direction of the giant ship: "There, look there, I see someone on the deck, we're saved!"
The terrifying cruise ship was indeed a stage prepared for these people. The giant cruise ship slowly passed by the small lifeboat at almost a snail's pace.
The ripples it stirred up were minimal; they could even jump from the small lifeboat to the entrance of the big ship with just a light leap.
The four extras took the lead, jumping over one after another and constantly beckoning Qi Shan.
Jess was somewhat dazed, as if realizing something, but unable to grasp it completely.
If it were the mustached man, he would probably jump over first and then reach out to invite Jess.
Qi Shan didn't care about that much, directly picking up Jess and jumping over.
The group climbed up the stairs to the deck. When they got to the big ship, some couldn't help but cry with joy. They had finally been rescued in the vast sea; this was a true escape from death.
The deck was extremely empty, without a sound. It was as if the whole ship was empty, without a single person, but they had clearly seen figures just now.
This puzzled everyone. After a brief discussion, they decided to search around.
At this time, Jess was still standing there in a daze, feeling that everything in sight was so familiar yet strange.
Qi Shan saw this and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.
