American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#829 - Pan-fried snake

The two chatted casually, asking and answering questions. Qi Shan gradually fleshed out the image of an outdoor enthusiast, while he subtly extracted Harry's basic information.

It turned out that this fat man in front of him was no ordinary person, but a genuine multi-millionaire. Before boarding the plane, he had fortunately bought a lottery ticket that won the top prize, receiving a huge reward of over a hundred million US dollars.

This time, he was flying across the Pacific Ocean back to America to enjoy life, but he never expected the plane to crash on a deserted island.

Initially, Harry was indeed frustrated, believing that his bad luck had affected everyone. So, he quickly cheered up and worked hard to help Jack rescue others.

However, due to his appearance, making friends was always more difficult than for others. Qi Shan's sudden appearance and his friendly attitude surprised Harry.

Qi Shan quickly processed the snake meat. Harry finally found smooth rocks that were the right size, flat, and resembled plates.

Qi Shan specially took a few small bamboo tubes, filled them with water, and returned to the front of the tent with Harry.

He used a knife to cut the skinned snake meat into sections. After draining the blood, he laid down the wood on the bonfire, placed a few stones in the middle, and placed the stone slab on top.

The snake meat was tender. The stone slab was licked by the flames and quickly emitted the aroma of cooked protein.

Harry widened his eyes and subconsciously swallowed.

From yesterday to today, he hadn't had a proper hot meal. Faced with such delicious food, his body couldn't resist the temptation.

Qi Shan smiled and handed over a small bamboo clip, using two bamboo strips to lift the entire stone slab.

After processing, the two snakes only made up one plate of meat. The cross-sectional cuts shrank inward after being cooked, looking like translucent white shrimp meat.

Taking advantage of the remaining heat, Qi Shan took some salt and sprinkled it on top, first picking up a piece to taste and nodding in satisfaction.

"Not bad, the taste is very good!"

Harry couldn't wait to pick up a piece, blowing on it as he put it in his mouth.

As soon as he chewed it, his eyes lit up.

"Delicious, really delicious! It's like eating lobster. I've never eaten snake meat before, and I thought it would be difficult to eat, but I didn't expect it to taste like this!"

Qi Shan smiled and made a gesture of invitation. The two of them quickly devoured the entire plate of snake meat in just a few minutes.

Harry nodded: "Actually, I've always been a little uneasy. The plane crashed on a deserted island, and there are so many survivors. Sooner or later, something will happen. I don't have any outdoor survival skills, and I don't have the confidence to be a Robinson Crusoe on my own."

"Don't worry, we'll be fine!"

Qi Shan stood up: "If you've rested enough, let's clean up our tableware. We don't know how long we'll be on this deserted island, so we need to make some long-term plans!"

"No problem, I'll take care of these!"

Harry glanced at the bamboo tent behind Qi Shan, somewhat concerned.

"This thing, ah, is a tent I built temporarily last night. It's okay for a couple of days, but it definitely won't last long. I think this area is not bad, with water and a lot of suitable wood.

Recently, I want to build a new shelter near here. If you have nothing to do, why not come and help me? I'll provide three meals a day, how about it?"

Harry pointed to the bamboo tent: "How about helping me build one? I don't want to sleep on the beach anymore. The wind is still a bit cool at night!"

Qi Shan smiled and said: "Of course, no problem!"

Pulling Harry over was Qi Shan's previous plan.

There are only 40 or so survivors, and there is another village on the island.

With so many characters appearing, the story is definitely quite complicated. Losing one or two characters is insignificant, but Qi Shan can maintain contact with the survivors through Harry. If there is any disturbance over there, Qi Shan will know immediately.

He could even use his outdoor survival skills to bring more people into his camp if he wanted to.

Of course, Qi Shan never had the idea of working for others.

Unless it's absolutely necessary, he would avoid such situations if possible.

Harry went to wash the dishes. Just as he finished washing, he saw Qi Shan carrying a large pile of vines back.

"What are you going to do?" Harry was curious.

"Ah, a daily necessity, an absolutely indispensable thing in the wild. Don't ask, you'll know in a while!"

Qi Shan put the vines on the ground and went to the bamboo forest to get some thin, finger-width bamboo.

Under Harry's curious gaze, Qi Shan took a section of vine and began to weave.

The thing he was making was very simple, without any special requirements, as long as it could block the line of sight. So, it only took about 20 minutes to make a cage about one and a half meters high.

From the outside, it looked a bit like a rough box, but the internal space was not small.

Harry circled the thing several times, but he couldn't figure out what it was for. Finally, he couldn't help but ask.

Qi Shan chuckled: "Do you see behind the pool, is there a narrow and rapid branch flowing down from the direction of the rocky cliff?"

Harry looked back and nodded: "And then?"

"That location is good, and the stones on both sides are also relatively flat. Why not clamp this cage on top, just to make a temporary toilet? The water flow is rapid, so you don't have to worry about dirty things being left behind! How about this idea?"

Harry was obviously stunned for a moment, then quickly gave a thumbs up: "You're so thoughtful!"

After finishing these things, the sun had obviously risen a lot, it should be around 10:00 AM.

Qi Shan thought for a while and inserted a bamboo pole in a sunny place.

He was going to make a simple sundial.

With this thing, plus the direction of the water flow and a roughly made sextant, he could determine the island's latitude and longitude.

Once these numbers came out, it would definitely reap another wave of exclamations.

After resting for a while at noon, Qi Shan let Harry feel the comfort of the small bamboo tent, which amazed him.

He became even more active when working in the afternoon. Qi Shan also kept his word, using the remaining parachute rope to tie the bamboo together. The two of them built another small tent together.

Although the floor area was not too large, it still occupied half of the open space.

While working in the afternoon, they noticed that the sky was always gloomy, and the clouds were constantly gathering. Just as the tent was built, a muffled thunder came from the sky, followed by dense raindrops!
