Apostle of Cthulhu

Chapter 125: Chance of Resurrection

Siwei felt a slight headache.

He straightened his body, and the blanket covering him slid down, revealing his shirt with a torn abdomen.

When he saw the cracks on the clothes, Siwei remembered that he was attacked by a spider last night.

But why... was he still alive?

In his memory, after the spider stabbed him, it was as if a cold substance wrapped him up, and then a light shone on his face, some whispers that did not belong to this world echoed in his ears, and he didn't remember anything else.

Could it be that... the spider was killed by Cthulhu?

This reason can actually explain it. After all, he is an apostle of Cthulhu. If the apostle died, it might not be appropriate, so Cthulhu possessed him personally and killed the spider?

In any case, there is no doubt that he is alive. He can still remember who he is and everything that happened after he traveled to Salem.

He didn't worry about where the spider's body went. If Cthulhu really killed the spider, he would not have left a body. Si Wei changed into casual clothes, and just as he left his room, he suddenly realized something.

He lowered his head and observed the inside of the room. Every night after entering the door, he would stick a piece of transparent tape on the inside of the door to prevent anyone from invading while he was asleep. He would not stick it when he went out, after all, Eugene would sometimes come in to clean, and if the other party picked the lock, the transparent tape would be a bit conspicuous.

But now, the transparent tape in his door frame has been torn off.

This means that someone sneaked into his room last night!

In Si Wei's memory, the spider invaded from the window. Even if he fled in a hurry at the end, he should have gone through the window. Why was his transparent tape torn off?

Somewhat puzzled, Si Wei checked some of his more important things, such as the remaining whalebone bullets, some information related to the expedition team, and money, but nothing was lost.

Even the bishop's coin was still in his hand.

After leaving the room, Si Wei was the first to come to Nidhogg's room.

As soon as he entered the room, Si Wei saw Nidhogg "holding" a copy of "Das Kapital" and reading it with great interest.

Hearing Si Wei's voice entering the room, Nidhogg closed the book and looked at him, "You came early today."

Si Wei didn't waste words and went straight to the point, "Do you know what happened in my room last night?"

"What happened?" Nidhogg said, "Something did happen. Spider, one of the four deacons of the Pantheon, came to kill you last night. It's a very simple thing."

Si Wei didn't ask or struggle why Nidhogg knew about this, but asked, "Where is Spider now?"

"Dead." Nidhogg's answer was concise and clear, "Last night, in your room, there was no body left."

"How did he die?"

Nidhogg looked at Si Wei, "Do you think I know?"

Yes, if this matter was really done by the Old Ones, Nidhogg, as a missionary, was not qualified to know.

When Si Wei lost his direction on a matter, he would change his angle and ask a different question, "One-armed Stone is the spider, right? You want his blood, but now he is dead. Where should I go to get his blood for you?"

"No need," Nidhogg's answer was beyond Si Wei's expectation, "Blood is just a cover. I just want to know if you are ready now. Now that you have killed the spider once, it is the best proof."

Si Wei caught the key words again, "Killed 'once'? Will I kill it twice?"

Nidhogg did not answer the question directly, "If you care more about these things, I can exchange your right to know about this matter by not telling you the whereabouts of the second piece of Fool's Bone."

Well... forget it, the Fool's Bone is more important.

After making sure that Si Wei was no longer entangled in the previous matter, Nidhogg slowly said: "The second piece of Fool's Bone you want... is in the Wallis District, that is, the area with the wolf head as the wax mark. If you want to find that piece of Fool's Bone, you have to go to the Wallis District."

Even if the second piece of Fool's Bone is not in the Wallis District, Si Wei feels that he needs to investigate.

According to the letter at that time, the Wallis District should be in a very critical moment. As an apostle of the Old Parliament, even if there is no need to stop it, he must understand what happened.

"I understand."

After learning about the power of grace from Nidhogg, Siwei left Room 666.

As soon as he walked into the hall, Siwei heard very noisy joy.

"No way! Eugene, you just drew an 8, and the bottom card is still 9, and you dare to ask for a card?" This is Gallagher's voice.

"Hahaha! Gallagher, you are not a good fortune teller! Isn't 21 a game of luck? If you don't try it, what's the point?!"

Siwei walked into the hall and saw four people gathered in front of the bar playing 21.

Eugene, Gallagher, Al... and Alice.

"Why are you here?" Siwei came in front of the four people and looked at Alice, who was dressed in new clothes and washed clean, with strange eyes.

Eugene hurriedly introduced: "Siwei, let me introduce you to the new resident of our Balem Apartment, Miss Alice Madeleine in Room 313!"

Room 313, isn't it right next to Al?

"Has she moved in? I'm not against it, but Alice, have you forgotten something?"

Alice then realized that she was still employed by Siwei!

"Very good, there is no salary for this week." Siwei was very ruthless.

Alice immediately put on a look of crying, "Mr. Siwei, please forgive me once! It's mainly because I have something to ask you, so I forgot."

Siwei turned his head away, "Have you seen in your bonfire area that when workers delayed some important things because of forgetfulness, the factory director forgave them because of his excuse?"

For Alice's age, it was indeed inappropriate for Siwei to tell her these things. But Siwei knew her living environment very well, and it was most important to get her out of the social atmosphere of the bonfire area as soon as possible.

If Alice still has this fluke mentality when she reaches the middle class life, it will be very detrimental to her future.

After listening to Si Wei's words, Alice lowered her head and did not refute, because she knew that Si Wei was right.

Si Wei looked up and threw the question to Al, "Ms. Al, how much did her clothes cost in total?"

"Just call me Al," Al emphasized this point first, and then answered honestly and indifferently, "Twelve thousand three hundred and twenty-two lems."

"Okay Al, I can't afford this money, please pay for it."

Al was a little surprised that this man could say this sentence that was considered shameful by men so naturally. He was indeed not an ordinary person.

Si Wei said to Alice again: "Of course, you also have a chance to make up for it. If there are some more important things that make me change my mind, I will not only pay you this week's salary, but also give you more money."

Alice's eyes lit up, and she quickly raised her little head and waved to Si Wei, indicating that he should bend down.

Siwei did as he was told. Alice leaned over to his ear and whispered, "A painter named Joe Rupert told me to tell you that One-Armed Stone has a chance to be resurrected."
