Azeroth Monster Manual
#23 - I won't make chicken soup anymore.
“So, are you saying our dwarf ancestors were made of stone by the titan?”
Hemit looked suspicious, the giantess's secrets overturning all his knowledge.
“That's right, all earthlings were created by the great forger, Master Khaz'goroth, including myself, lost traveler. All secrets lie deep within Uldaman.”
Looking at the two 'little ones' at her feet, Naboa's delicate stone face showed a look of melancholy. The flesh-transformed, deformed earthling reminded her of her former sisters and brothers.
‘Alonnah and Azadas, are you well?’
“Respected Naboa, uh, Madam, can you explain the origin and function of these crystals?”
Eir finally couldn't resist his curiosity and asked.
“I'm sorry, you don't have sufficient permission, I cannot tell you these knowledge,” the giantess said regretfully.
“I see…”
Eir wasn't discouraged either. He pondered for a long time and continued.
“Then let me talk about my guesses, as for right and wrong, I believe you can give me a definite answer.”
“This is a Titan species laboratory, and you are an observer left by Master Khaz'goroth.”
The giantess Naboa showed an interested expression, without interrupting the unknown carbon-based lifeform's remarks, but chose to listen silently.
“There are four types of crystals here, corresponding to Arcane, Life, Nature, and Time respectively. Can I understand it as…”
Eir looked solemnly at the giantess, observing her expression, and then continued:
“The power of these crystals comes from four Titans,
The Arcane energy in the blue crystal corresponds to - Norgannon, the guardian of celestial magic and knowledge.
The Life energy in the red crystal corresponds to - Eonar, the Life-Binder.
The power of nature and dreams in the green crystal corresponds to - Freya, the high-level Titan guardian created by Lady Eonar.
The power of time in the yellow crystal corresponds to - Aman'Thul, Father of the Pantheon.
But what is curious is, why isn't there an earth crystal blessed by Master Khaz'goroth?”
An unbelievable expression appeared on Naboa's beautiful face, which had been calm for ten thousand years. Obviously, what this 'little one' said was the truth.
“Are you a prophet? Little one?”
“Lady Naboa, you flatter me. I am just a lost time traveler who happens to know a little bit about the secrets of the Titans,”
Eir slyly stretched out his little finger and gestured a 'little bit', then continued.
“Then let's boldly speculate that Master Khaz'goroth also left behind his blessed earth crystals, but these crystals were destroyed and did not spread in the proving grounds.
So, let us think, after Master Khaz'goroth left Azeroth, who else has the right to deprive a great Titan's blessing?”
“Alright, little one, now that you know these secrets, let's talk openly.”
As the giantess spoke, she gathered her long skirt and sat down on the ground, facing the two.
Hemit: MMP
Eir gestured to Naboa to begin and quietly waited for the answer to arrive.
“If you are a prophet, then you should know of Neltharion's fall. This fall is irreversible. The entire power of Khaz'goroth has been contaminated by the Light-Dark parasite.
As long as you are contaminated with this corrupted earth power, you will become bloodthirsty and insane, and lose your mind. Neltharion's corrupted offspring are proof of this. Now, there are no pure black dragons.”
Naboa showed a sad expression, as if she was saddened by that unbearable past.
“So, you destroyed all these crystals?”
“That's right. Master Khaz'goroth's original intention was to put these five-colored crystals into the proving grounds to see if they could induce order-aligned creatures like the Guardian Dragons. Therefore, in order not to affect these experimental products, I destroyed all those earth crystals.”
Naboa showed a relieved expression.
“Then these crystals?” Eir asked in confusion.
“These crystals can promote the evolution of creatures, allowing those creatures who absorb the energy of the crystals to possess some incredible abilities.” Naboa didn't beat around the bush and said directly.

“But… I don't see any difference between those big guys outside and ordinary beasts.”
“I have been observing here for 30,000 years. Although I am very unwilling, Master Khaz'goroth's experiment can already be declared a failure.”
Eir: It's confirmed, dinosaurs are all useless, no wonder they were all killed by meteorites in the end. You don't use the opportunity given to you.
“The crystals outside?”
“When the gems in the proving grounds are used up, this 30,000-year-long experiment will come to an end, and I will also fall into silence, waiting for Master Khaz'goroth to arrive,”
Naboa said calmly.
“Thank you for your explanation, Guardian.”
Eir sighed in admiration. He bowed to the giantess in front of him. Regardless of the reason, being able to persevere in his post for 30,000 years in loneliness is a remarkable feat. Such a person is worthy of respect.
“I want to remind you of something.”
“Please speak, Guardian.”
“Some time ago, an experimental product ran out of the proving grounds. It devoured four different blessed crystals and has become incredibly powerful. You must be careful after you go out.
Also, Fire Plume Ridge outside the proving grounds has Titan secrets. I have never set foot there. Go take a look, it will be helpful to you.”
Naboa looked at Eir at her feet like she was looking at her own child, with a gentle expression.
“Mortal, I see infinite possibilities in you. Please make good use of the blessings of the Titans…”
“You…?”
Eir looked shyly at the 'crystal mountain' that Hemit was hiding at the entrance of the hall. It turned out that this giantess had known his plan from the moment they entered the hall.
“The Titans are selfless. They bless every creature standing on the side of order. I don't want to continue Master Khaz'goroth's mistake, so mortal, stick to your path and don't let powerful forces blind your eyes.”
“Goodbye, little one…” Naboa gave a bright smile on her stone-carved face, and then slowly sank into the ground.
Eir stretched out his hand to stop her, but couldn't say the words that came to his mouth. His chest felt like something was pressing on it, heavy.
… …
I don't know how long it's been.
“Huff”
The young man looked complicated, feeling uncomfortable. Naboa knew that she would fall into eternal silence when the crystals disappeared, but she gave all these blessed gems to Eir, whom she had just met.
“Is this the Titan Guardian?”
Eir silently walked out of the slowly closing door, without saying a word along the way.
“Eir… Master”
The old dwarf carried the 'small mountain' and walked in front of the young man, leaving the young man with a 'tall' back. He said in a low voice:
“Although I don't know what changes will happen to our world, and I don't understand what she said about light and dark parasites, or Deathwing or anything like that.
But I know that she transferred the hope of life to you, and didn't want to see you continue to be depressed like this. You must become stronger, strong enough to replace her and that Khaz'goroth, and protect our world for them.”
Eir: It's a bit like betraying the master and destroying the ancestor
“Haha, not bad, old boy, you know how to tell me great truths now?”
Eir chuckled and caught up with the old dwarf walking in front, putting his arm around his shoulder.
“Master, where are we going now?”
“I just praised you a few words, and you started acting stupid again. Of course, we're going to scour the entire proving grounds for crystals. Haven't those idiot dinosaurs wasted enough?”
Hemit: I'll never make chicken soup again…
PS: I have always been afraid to write a large amount of World of Warcraft background stories, for fear of being said to be watering, but some settings have to be written to pave the way for future plots. I have made certain magic changes to the plot of Un'Goro Crater, because Blizzard's annotation on Un'Goro is the Titan biological proving grounds, and there is not much background story. The general plot has not deviated, so watch with confidence.
