Becoming a God Starting from a Water Monkey

Chapter 207: Consciousness-Only School!

The days fly by so fast, June 6th is here in the blink of an eye.

At five quarters of a hour.

The ice platform blows cold air to dispel the hot and stuffy air.

Liang Qu got up and dressed, opened the window, and the skylight poured into the house.

It is summer.

He still remembers the last River God Festival. He got up at the same time and it was still dark.

In another month, the summer will come, when the cicadas will turn into adults, and they will no longer be as quiet as they are now.

Liang Qu lowered his head and looked towards the yard.

"Oolong!"

The black dog in the yard squatted on the ground, tilting his head and staring at the white butterfly on the jujube branch. His ears naturally drooped. When he heard his name, he turned around on tiptoes.

"Woof!"

"come over!"

The black dog leaned down towards Liang Qu, who was leaning toward the window, raised his buttocks, and jumped back and forth. It moved to the base of the wall little by little, and finally lay down on the top of the wall, barked twice, and waggled its little tail as if it was about to fly.

Liang Qu stretched out his hand and rubbed its head hard.

Hei Te's little black dog was exactly thirty-four days old. He picked it up yesterday, named it Wu Long, and kept it in his yard.

He is not afraid of strangers at all. He has visited the entire Sanjin compound and gardens in just one day, and has become familiar with every corner. He is a qualified guard dog.

"Let's take you to have breakfast."

Liang Qu opened the door and led Xiao Hei to the kitchen. As soon as he entered the door, he saw a long-lost figure enjoying a meal, and Aunt Zhang handed over several steaming steamed buns one after another.

"Grandmaster?"

The old monk clasped his hands together and continued his movements, taking one steamed bun at a time, quickly and without messiness, as if he had been hungry for many days.

This is indeed the case. Ever since he got the scroll of scriptures, the old monk has not stepped out of his room for seven days!

Not to mention eating!

Of course, for Master Zhenxiang, not eating for seven days is nothing. He can only make up for the shortfall later.

"Aunt Zhang, could you please make more plain buns this morning and earn an extra 30 yuan by the end of the month."

"okay."

Aunt Zhang kept stuffing firewood in her hands, setting up new cages, wiping sweat, feeling tired but not annoyed.

Liang Qu quickly moved a stool and sat in front of the old monk.

"Master, what is it in that scripture that makes you so sleepless and forgetful of food?"

"Has the donor ever heard of the Faxiang Sect?"

Faxiang Sect?

Liang Qu shook his head.

"Consciousness Only Sect?"

Liang Qu's eyes lit up: "I've heard of this."

He had at least read a lot of Buddhist commentaries and knew Master Huiyuan's position in the entire Buddhism, including the Consciousness-Only Sect he founded.

The deeds of Master Huiyuan are very simple to tell. They are highly similar to a senior monk in Liang Qu's previous life, and the names he left behind are exactly the same.

That man’s name is Xuanzang!

Master Huiyuan also has an alias, called Venerable Zhantan.

It's a pity that the seemingly unrelated two people had the same experiences in the first half of their lives, and the second half of their lives were almost the same. The Knowledge Wei Sect ended its inheritance after only three generations.

Not only is this the case with Consciousness Wei, but also the Huayan Sect is similar.

Almost all of these sects with high legal principles could not escape the fate of being killed in a few passes.

Without him, it would be too difficult.

It is said that the Consciousness-Wei Sect is descended from Maitreya Bodhisattva, and the first ancestor of Huayan is the incarnation of Manjusri.

The beginning is the peak.

The second-generation disciples followed the master and were taught by the master personally. It was okay, but the third-generation disciples began to read like a book from heaven.

In the long river of time that followed, there were all kinds of wars, fires, and man-made disasters. Even the complete book was no longer available, only fragmentary fragments.

"That scripture is..."

"The complete "Conclusion of Consciousness-only Theory"!"

"Handwritten?"

"Transcript."

Liang Qu was slightly disappointed.

Dashun Martial Arts and Spirituality, there are many things that are not different if the content is the same.

In the Tiger Hunting Realm, one can kill people with will, and the Zhenxiang is even more mysterious.

If it is written by an eminent monk, his belief will definitely be left behind, which will have an even more powerful effect on the understanding of future generations.

It's not handwritten, and it's known for its difficulty.

I'm afraid it's hard for people like the old monk to understand. No wonder he locked himself in the room for seven days.

Is this scripture really useful?

It only has the meaning of the scriptures and no martial arts. At most, it fills in some of the gaps in the history of Buddhism.

To the old monk, it was like finding a treasure. To him...

The old monk smiled slightly: "The donor is in trouble."

"Master, what do you mean by this?"

"What the poor monk said is "The Conclusion of the Theory of Consciousness-Only," not "The Theory of Consciousness-Only,"!"

"Well, what's the difference?"

"The meaning of the Sutra "The Theory of Consciousness" is passed down from Maitreya himself. It is profound and difficult to understand. It contains ten different commentaries. The only person in the world who can truly understand it is Master Huiyuan.

According to legend, Master Huiyuan’s disciples once advised him to combine the annotations of the ten schools and make his own. However, Master Huiyuan insisted on leaving the annotations of the ten schools to facilitate future generations to experience the original appearance.

It is extremely difficult for ordinary people to learn from one family, let alone ten. Only the talents of God can be obtained.

It now seems that Master Huiyuan realized that the human population was declining in his last years, and in order to preserve the continuity of the Dharma, he wrote the "Conclusion of the Theory of Consciousness-Wei" so that the world can understand and learn from it.

It's a pity that, for unknown reasons, it has never been spread to the world, and now it can be seen again. "

The old monk looked delighted.

He never thought that he would have such an opportunity, and then look at Liang Qu.

This kid really has great luck and great opportunities!

Liang Qu was stunned.

After talking for a long time, Master Huiyuan just summarized it again and made the theory of consciousness-only theory easier to understand and learn?

He looked forward to it: "Is there any skills or martial arts in it?"

"The poor monk's research is still shallow and I dare not say for sure. Maybe it exists."

A lineage that was discontinued because it was too difficult. Even though it was a re-summary by Venerable Zhan Tan, if I wanted to fully understand it, seven days was obviously not enough time. It was only enough to scratch the surface. No, it couldn’t even be called a scratch.

Not to mention days, months, years, it’s possible!

OK OK.

It's always good to have hope.

The reason why the Consciousness-Wei Sect is discontinued is because some people spend their whole lives studying it and not understand it, and then they die when their life span is up.

Venerable Zhantan even said personally that you can only get started by reading the scriptures thoroughly.

Liang Qu was a novice in Buddhism. He had a rough understanding of Buddhist history and vocabulary, but he had never read a complete scripture.

Unless he escapes into Buddhism from now on and devotes himself to research, it is estimated that he will be sixty years old. It is completely worth the loss, and it only depends on whether the old monk can do it.

Grandmaster Zhenxiang must be a great master of Buddhism!

Run, my external brain!

After breakfast, the old monk got into the room again and began to pray.

Liang Qu himself practiced ape boxing and Fu Bo.

At three o'clock in the morning, the villagers came and dragged away the three beasts.

"Fat" and "cute" are easy to say, but not too heavy.

It was obvious that the red beast could not be moved by ordinary people, so Liang Qu helped and took it to the port together.

"Thank you, Mr. Liang."

Several villagers thanked him profusely and turned around to arrange the details of the ceremony.

Liang Qu looked around.

Facing Daze, the altar stands majestically. Compared to last year, it still has thirteen steps.

It's just that the span between each level is doubled, so that the entire altar is twice as tall and even more majestic.

There are even carvings on the horizontal panels on both sides, all of which are decorated with waves.

On both sides of the front of the altar, there are several large drums lined up. Outside the drums, there are various seats, making it convenient for wealthy families to come and rest.

"Brother Shui!"

Chen Jiechang, Li Libo, and Lin Songbao came over, holding three different sharp knives.

The cold light is sharp and they are all precious swords.

Liang Qu temporarily borrowed the guy from Senior Brother Lu to do something, and he had to pay it back afterwards.

Li Libo blinked when he saw the red beast lying flat beside him, and trembled all over.

The three of them drew lots, and he happened to get the job of killing the red beast.

"I'm so nervous. Do you really want to kill that big guy?"

Chen Jiechang glanced at him sideways.

"Are you scared?"

"Afraid? What's there to be afraid of?" Li Libo puffed out his chest.

He has a guilty conscience and may kill the red beast, which is also a unique scene!

"Then why are you trembling?"

"Excited, excited, you know?"

"The sacrifice begins at three quarters noon. If you have the skills, you might as well think about where to strike."

A quarter past noon.

Thousands of people gathered at the port, so much so that it was overcrowded.

Liang Qu, who had put on his sacrificial robes, was surprised and said: "Yixing Town...there are so many people?"

Chen Zhaoan explained in a low voice: "Many of them come from other villages. There are a few villages that cannot hold the River God Festival, so they come to us!"
