A figure was sent rolling on the ground, picking up large amount of dust and debris. The figure was a young man no older than 15 years old. There was a gash on his head as blood dripped down his head, lips bursted, he curled up in pain.

Four figures walked towards the downed young man overbearingly. The four figures were also four young men, but the one who appears to be the leader of the group was an even older man that looked to be 20 years of age.

The older man arrogantly towered over the bleeding young man. "Erian, the failed Serum isn't something your lowly self can possess! Do you think you have the talent to stimulate your body cells and awaken the Nuclear Pulse? Using the serum would only be a waste on you! We are all scavagers and as the strongest group in this Waste Station, the right thing to do is to submit what you have accumulated to me."

"But instead, you hid it and wanted to consume it in secret!? You bastard! Had I not found out sooner, you might have actually consumed it!"

Serums are Mutagenic genetic compositions turned into liquid, having various effects like strengthening the body, accelerating the body cells, hardenening the body and with luck, evolving the cells and awakening the Nuclear Pulse.

Syringes are made up of both glass and metal. Every year, more than a billion syringes are used and usually has quite some essence energy remaining in them, easily causing radiation pollution which can easily cause various kinds of diseases to Normal humans

The main genetic composition that makes up various types of Serums are highly radioactive such that there is risk of explosion, if left unattended, syringe waste could cause major damage to the environment and health risk to humans

Therefore, "Special Waste Treatment Stations" were installed at the villages in order to treat radioactive waste.

Special Waste Station No. 92, located at the far southern outskirts of Star Blaze Town, "Old Steel Village".

Scavangers relies on the garbage dump for survival. Not every Syringe has its contents fully used up, which is what every Scavangers excavates and when the liquid has been accumulated up to a point where it could contain a Syringe, the serums can then be sold to the Black Market.

However, serums are graded into different categories. The lowest grades are called the failed Serums, while the highest grade of serums isn't something an ordinary person has access to even with all the money in the world.

Although Failed Serums are defective portions of the original product, they still contain certain effects within them that could increase strength, speed, body hardness and even the activity of the brain.

A low grade defective serum could temporary increase one's strength or speed by two times for 10 minutes.

A mid-grade defective serum increases the duration of increased speed or strength by ten times which is almost two hours.

While a high-grade defective product can permanently increase one's strength by two times. The effect is only so strong the first time and then drastically reduced when taken the second time.

A year ago, a new batch of disposable syringes had been dumped within the waste station,. Erian had been lucky to discovered three drops of High-grade defective serum within a Syringe which was rare. Excited, he kept it to himself and only told the person he thought was his girlfriend.

Every month, when the mountain of waste drops, Erian would wait in that particular drop site and thoroughly search through the dump until he finds another drop of the High grade defective serums. Just like that, he accumulated the drops of serums until this morning he was finally able to fully contain a syringe with the serum.

If he could use the serum to increase his strength or serum, he could finally have a chance to pass the final examination in his High-School and have a chance to be recommend to a college in the Town or even in the City.

But before he was able to use it, Fu Tian had found out about it. But how? The only person he had told was...

The older boy's expression turned sinister. Furious, he kicked at the young man who was struggling to get back on his feet, making him roll another two meter on the dirty ground filled with rusty steel and broken glass.

"Unfortunately, you trusted the wrong person. Leah's ability and beauty is beyond your capability, I believe you must be clear about that. With your qualification, you do not deserve even a look of her! Next time get far away from her. If not, I will crush you whenever I see you."

"Impossible!" Erian felt as though his heart had been ripped out of his chest and even with the blood dripping over his body, the disbelief in his expression was clear as day, he couldn't believe the one person he trusted would betray him. Suddenly, he seem to have understood something and he clenched- his fist tight.

"What, you wanna fight?" Fu Tian sneered at him, "Do you believe if I say I can kill you here and nobody would say a thing?"

Erian's expression turned ashen. The anger in his heart immediately erupted, but he spurted out a mouthful of blood and fell to the ground, unconscious.

"Hmph! Search him for the Serum, since it's not in his hut, it would certainly be on him."

The three other lackeys quickly got to work, and without the slightest bit of courtesy, they searched through Erian's unconscious body until they found a tightly sealed metal syringe within his inner pocket.

The older man's eyes lit up upon the sight of the slightly glowing blue Syringe. Carefully retrieving it from the hands of his followers, he held it with caution as though he was carrying a new born baby in his arms

It wasn't as though he hadn't gotten into contact serums before, it was just that this one was even purer than the serums he and the others have managed to excavate from this Waste Station.

Just the cost of this high grade defective serum could allow him to live carefree for more than ten yearsbin the village without working.

Thinking about how he almost missed this opportunity and how the bastard had wanted to use it for himself, the older boy kicked at the unconscious boy again and spat.
