Chapter 1060: The Yili of Tao and the Enlightenment of Buddha.
Chapter 1060 The Yili of Tao and the Enlightenment of Buddha.
Because Gun Yu's water control is too hardcore, I want to talk about it lightly.
It turned out that someone wanted to see me talking about mythology, Buddhism and Taoism.
I am drunk. This topic is too big. I can say more than 10,000 words for Chang’e flying to the moon, and I wrote 20,000 words for Gun Yu’s flood control. I also wrote another chapter to introduce Yu’s character design in advance.
Talking about Buddhism?
Okay, let’s talk about Buddha first.
null.
Finish speaking, then preach again.
nature.
OK, done.
Buddha and Tao, it's that simple.
If you have to dig deeper, then you are not talking about Buddhism and Taoism, but about "Buddhism" and "Taoism".
These are two different things and must be clearly distinguished.
Even if it is about Buddhism and Taoism, it is impossible to talk about it separately. Hundreds of thousands of words are not enough.
Buddhism should be precisely called Buddhism. All Buddhist sects and even cultures related to Buddhism can be called Buddhism.
The same is true of Taoism. Those who explain Tao culture, study the history of Tao culture, practice the principles of Tao, and practice Taoism theory can all be called Taoism.
Both Buddhism and Taoism include religion, not just religion.
You must clearly distinguish the difference between Taoism, Taoism, and Taoism.
Here I can only briefly talk about the beliefs of the Chinese people. Buddhism was introduced in the Han Dynasty. Although its influence has become greater and greater, it is not a belief of the Chinese people.
Some people say that Chinese people have no faith, which is wrong. Chinese people just don't have religious beliefs.
Because Zhuanxu is so powerful, he has established a humanistic thought that is deeply imprinted in his bones. The relationship between people is much more important than the relationship between people and God.
So Chinese believers are very realistic. We have so many gods and immortals, but there has never been a main **** covering the whole nation.
Whether it is Haotian or Taiyi, it doesn’t count. Whether it is the Three Emperors or the Five Emperors, they are all human beings and ancestor worship.
Some people say that the Chinese do not believe in gods, but believe in their ancestors.
This is right and wrong.
In the final analysis, this is still the appearance of humanistic thinking. Because we value people, we regard people as gods.
Hidden behind this is actually another belief, that is Tao.
From ancient times to the present, we have believed in Tao. Whether it is the Three Emperors and Five Emperors, Haotian Taiyi, or the gods and Buddhas of the heavens, it is because they embody one-sided Tao that people accept them.
This is not called belief, this is called acceptance.
The essential difference between us and the West is here. Westerners always say that we have no faith. The reason is that we can accept all kinds of gods.
This is also the reason why we can tolerate all kinds of religions, because we can accept a God who... makes sense.
do you understand? We are a reasonable people.
Everyone opened their mouths and shut up, always talking about "reasoning", but they didn't know the connotation.
Because we believe in the Tao so much that it has been integrated into the soul, bones, and blood. Our belief in the Tao is deeply rooted. Since ancient times, it has been passed down from ancient times to the point that... we all forget that we have faith, and we believe in the Tao '.
"Why are you so unreasonable?", "Being reasonable, we should be like this", "I am reasonable, what am I afraid of?", "This thing is unreasonable!"
All these spoken words that we have become accustomed to are because we believe in the "Tao" unknowingly, subtly, without knowing the true face of Mount Lu.
Some Buddhist practitioners in our country, if you ask him what he believes in, he will definitely say that he believes in Buddhism.
If you ask him why, he will say what Buddha is like.
Behind this, the hidden belief that he himself does not know is actually because of the Buddhist proposition, which is very reasonable.
He believes in this truth, not in this Buddha.
However, Western religions are different. Those who believe in God can sacrifice everything for the Lord. No matter whether what they are asked to do is reasonable or not, they will do it, because God is the principle of all things. If God thinks it is reasonable, it will made sense.
'God said', this condition is the truth of this matter. So people who truly believe in God don’t need to think about whether it makes sense, just do it.
So corresponding, we found that we also have faith.
It’s just that belief. Westerners call it ‘Lord’, but we call it ‘Tao’.
The Lord of Westerners has a specific personality image.
Our Tao has no specific personality image.
They obeyed the words of the Lord, but we obey the principles of the Tao.
Their Lord has a specific personality image, so what he listens to is called an oracle. Our Tao has no specific image, so what we talk about is called reasoning.
Our beliefs have no specific image, so the interpretation and elaboration of the Tao in the past dynasties will form gods one by one.
You can understand that what we believe is the law of nature, the law of heaven.
is an all-encompassing thing, everything is its appearance.
Lao Tzu did not create a god, he just described Tao and gave Tao a name... I don’t know the name, but the strong word is: Tao.
Before Lao Tzu, Tao existed, and people have long believed in it. Lao Tzu didn't invent it, he just named it and summarized it.
The reason why we believe in the Three Emperors and Five Emperors is because the behavior of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors is in line with the Tao.
Worship Dayu, the reason is that Dayu's actions are in line with the invisible Tao in people's hearts.
It is everyone who collectively thinks that he is a practitioner of Tao, that Dayu became a god.
The reason why Guan Yu is worshiped is that what he did about him is in line with the invisible Tao in people's hearts.
The reason why we have so many gods, and they are all human beings, is here.
It is everyone who collectively creates gods, and everyone agrees, intangible and intangible, that they all believe: 'The heart is the destiny'.
So what conforms to everyone's hearts is conforming to Tao, at least conforming to one aspect.
And conform to a certain aspect of the Tao, he is God.
So we are constantly making gods in every age, and gods are extremely cheap, because gods are just doers of the way, the angels of the way.
This is essentially the same as the West is constantly creating new angels and merging the gods of the conquered nations into the angel system or the demon system.
There is only one God, but there are many angels.
As for us, there is only one Tao, but there are many gods...
So, we really have faith, and we are actually a 'monotheistic religion'.
It’s just this ‘God’, too illusory, and the strong word is: Tao.
"Eh? You Buddha is very reasonable, I accept it, I recognize you as an angel of the Tao." So this person entered Buddhism.
In fact, is he really a Buddhist believer? If he can turn his back on everything given to him by the country, nation, and society for the sake of the Buddha, then he really believes in the Buddha.
On the contrary, he turned his back on Buddha. Then he believed in the Tao, because the Buddha told him to give up those benefits, and he felt that it was 'unreasonable'!
If there is no reason, just question it, and this person will turn his back on the Buddha.
So does he believe in Buddha or Dao?
A Chinese, for the sake of profit, abandoned Buddha and God, and was scolded as impious.
But in fact, this is piety to the Tao.
Has been devout enough to blend into the depths of the soul without knowing it. He felt that Buddha and God were unreasonable, so he turned his back on it, it was as simple as that.
Since when this idea appeared, I don't know.
I only know that there are traces to follow, and the first person to popularize this kind of thinking to everyone is the black emperor Zhuanxu.
So I highly praise him, Zhuanxu is the first preacher.
He established this humanistic thought rooted deep in the nation.
Extract this essence. If you don’t understand it yet, I can only translate the Western belief.
Actually, we mistranslated it. The Western God should not be translated as God. In the eyes of Western believers, it is equivalent to our Tao.
It’s just that this Tao has thoughts and subjective behaviors. In the hearts of us Chinese, we instinctively think that it is only one side of Tao, but this one side seems a bit too awesome, so we translate it into God, which corresponds to us. Haotian God.
And all the angels, all the saints, all those who practice the principles of the invisible God and contribute to civilization. should be translated into God.
If it was back then, we would translate Western religions in this way.
We will suddenly realize, oh, we also have 'monotheism', we believe.
The Tao is the destiny, and the Tao is the heart. It has never fallen into some form, it has never been reduced to God, so we forget.
But we have not forgotten that the Tao has only been integrated into the soul of our nation, and we have become a part of the Tao.
The Yellow Emperor acted on behalf of the heavens, tolerated all races, and ruled the world with gods. This is the way of heaven.
Zhuan Xu is invincible, separates man from God, and governs the world with man. This is the way of humanity.
The emperor of Zhou sealed the world, separated princes and princes, and ruled the world with rituals. This is the kingly way.
Duke Huan of Qi united nine feudal lords, governed the world, respected the king and fought against barbarians, this is overbearing.
Qin Shihuang swept Liuhe, centralized power, and ruled the world by law. This is the emperor's way.
hair…
Forget it, in short, our nation, since ancient times, has all humanistic thinking methods, and any skill is ultimately divided into four levels.
Tao, reason, method, technique.
Tao is the greatest, followed by reason, then law, and the most obvious is art.
Everything is like this, Tao is the highest, the largest, the most source, and the most essential.
Among the hundreds of scholars, Laozi, Confucius, Mozi, etc. stand the highest, and what they talk about is reason.
The part of Baijia, including some virtuous ministers and ministers who gave advice to the emperor, talked about methods.
Later, Taoism emerged. Ge Hong and other alchemists were the farthest away from the Tao. Things like refining essence, qi training, and congealing alchemy were all about art.
Of course, each has its own advantages and focuses on different aspects.
What we are vigorously developing now is 'skills', and the country's various policies and strategies are 'laws'.
And why do we do this, because the reason we do this teaches us that if we do this, it will eventually lead to our revival and allow everyone to live a better life.
So what is Tao? Tao is this era.
The way of heaven is independent and unchanging, it is the law of nature, while the human way is chaotic and easy to change, it is the change of the times.
What is 'Easy'? It is always changing, only keep pace with the times.
We develop techniques, we formulate laws, and we follow principles. The reason for doing this is, in the final analysis, because of Tao, which makes the times change from what they were before to what they are now.
Times have changed!
In this era, if you don’t do this, you will perish. Only when the techniques and principles are done well, are clarified, and changed to conform to this era, can we live a better life.
Tao has changed the times, so our policies, systems, and phalanxes have to change accordingly.
By the way, civilization can only be inherited and continued when people change in line with the times.
Otherwise, civilization will decline.
When you ask questions, please be more specific. Just open your mouth and ask me to preach. What am I talking about?
Am I Yuanshi Tianzun? I am a god-level civilization whose technology tree is full and has a unified model of the universe? I still preach?
What do you mean? Is it the Taoism of the Tao, or the Taoism of the Tao, or the classics and history of the Taoism of the Tao, or the development and rise and fall of the Taoism of the Tao?
It's like asking me to talk about myths, where do I start? Whether it is about Nuwa mending the sky, Pangu opening up the sky, Nordic mythology, or the Old Testament, you have to make it clear.
If you let me explain the Tao clearly, clarify the main differentiation and derivation, as well as social relations and historical development, and explain it clearly to you, then I’m sorry, that’s not a story, it’s a book.
That’s Li Yan.
The ancients said that the three immortals are those who stand up for morality, speech and meritorious service.
I have to prepare for at least three to five years, or even ten to twenty years, and have enough time to eat and drink, settle down, sort out, and study, so that I can expand and connect some of my ideas and write a book based on my personal understanding. The book of elucidation.
However, I don't have the time, nor the financial support, to sort out this stuff.
So I can only talk about some small things, extract some concise and one-sentence truths, and explain them so that you can use them to pretend.
You have watched Gun Yu control the water, and when you chat with others later, if they say that Yu is awesome, you can stand out from the crowd and say: In fact, Gun is also a person worthy of praise. Yu is standing on the shoulders of giants, and then tell him what the hell.
This coercion is just pretending.
After you read this article, if someone says that Chinese people have no faith, you can tell him that Chinese people believe. If he is not convinced, and there are not as many people who say Taoism as believers in Buddhism, why do you say that the Chinese believe in it? You can refute him: You think what I said is unreasonable, and you are believing in yourself, but you don’t realize it yourself.
Then tell him the difference between Taoism, Taoism, and Taoism.
This is what I can do for you.
So book friends, please ask for more details, talk about cultivating immortals, okay, I will talk about tens of thousands of words. Talking about feudalism, okay, I’ll talk about tens of thousands of words, talking about ghosts, okay, I’ll talk about tens of thousands of words.
Open your mouth and let me preach? Do you want to hear the sermon?
Do I still have to say that I am the blessed land of the Trifold Peaks of Lushan Mountain, the Immortal Cave, the Longevity Palace of Yongle, the White Cloud Temple of Longevity, the Taoist Talisman of Lu Zu, the Chunyang Sword Immortal, the Lu Shou of Longevity, and the Cangyue Layman. For you?
Haha, just kidding, there is no Taoist in the world.
Taoist priests, there are many. Scientists are also Taoist priests. The biggest characteristic of Tao is that it is independent and does not change. What does it not change? That is 'easy', that is, change does not change.
In layman’s terms, what remains unchanged about Tao is that it keeps changing.
One source remains unchanged, and the rest are changing. This is Tao.
Everything in the universe is changing, customs and times are changing, only the Tao remains unchanged, but whether this change or not is itself the Tao.
Natural laws do not change, but all matter and energy are changing, and all changes remain the same. Conservation and order are the foundation of physics.
Science is a mindset, not a knowledge.
So scientists are also seekers.
It's just that the times have changed, so this age has its own way of seeking Tao. Follow a few basic logical 'reasons', come up with several 'methods', and use several 'techniques' to seek the 'Tao'.
Still not out, Tao, reason, law, technique.
One day when the grand unified model of the universe is established, physics will be 'proven', and the scientists, and even all of us will 'get the Tao'.
But maybe, it is only one-sided, its physical side.
Some people always say, Lao Tzu is so powerful, he mentioned science a long time ago, and many contents of his Tao Te Ching can be confirmed by modern science.
Crap! Lao Tzu just described the Tao, and the Tao does not change, only the appearance changes.
The times have changed, so the way of expression and exploration has changed. This is one of the basic rules of Tao: Yi.
One day the material world will no longer be "changeable", that is, the entropy will increase to the peak, and the universe will be heat-dead.
It is not Lao Tzu who mentioned science, but science that followed the Tao.
The origin of the Tao remains unchanged, and the character is 'natural'. The rest 'comes naturally'.
That's why it looks so similar, because it becomes just 'reason', 'law', and 'skill'.
Science can confirm the content of the Tao Te Ching, but it can only show that the principles, methods, and techniques of science are on the right track.
Dao, never changed.
Can you understand this logic?
Tao, and reason, law, and technique.
Laws of nature, relation to law, theory, technology.
are all...natural, and natural.
Taoist priests seek the way, respect principles, legislate, and practice.
Scientists seek truth, respect laws, formulate theories, and develop technology. They are also Taoists.
It's a pity that some Taoists who are superstitious and only want to live forever, or even just make a living, confuse and pollute the concept of Taoism.
So using the word Taoist would not be appropriate. It is better to use the word 'seeker' to describe a physicist.
Times will change. Brothers, one day, the word scientist will also become dirty and contain some derogatory meanings. There are yin and yang, praise and derogation. Physicists are still a new thing for the time being, with a history of only a few hundred years, but one day, they will become decayed and not conform to the times.
As long as the scope of magic is reasonable, one day it will become, adapt to the times or be eliminated.
At that time, there may be brand-new careers that respect principles, legislate, and perform arts, and continue to seek Tao in a new way in a new era.
Physics is dead, and a new science will stand. Taoist priests have declined, and new "Taoist priests" and "Tao seekers" will follow the trend.
This in itself is Tao.
Everything will change, but the Tao will not change, this is... the easy reason of the Tao.
In the Dao, there is this truth called Yi.
Gods in the West, because they have specific images and definitions, are forcibly described from an unknown state to a known state, so it is not easy to adapt to the times, they are too rigid, and they are finally defeated and overthrown by physics.
But the Tao we believe in will never be overthrown, and there is no concept of being overthrown at all. We don't know what it is. It is still unknown.
So science can never defeat Tao, they are even tolerated, they are also seekers of Tao.
It is not the Tao that is defeated, but Taoism, Taoism, and us. Only people can fail, and Tao will last forever.
Where there is change, there is rise and fall, there is life and death, there is existence and non-existence. Only people, only things, and only everything that is not Dao will decline or rise because of continuous changes. This is called nature.
Tao itself is immutable, formless and qualitative, unknown, unknown and independent, so it is invincible, indestructible, and eternal.
Lao Tzu saw the Tao's "doing nothing but doing everything".
Tao itself does not move, but everything moves. All the particles and everything in the universe are changing, which is called "being", but the laws of nature have not changed, and it is even invisible and qualityless, which is called "nothing".
So Tao seems to have done nothing, yet has done everything.
Do nothing but do everything. The essence of this sentence is that everything changes.
The popular translation is to grasp the nature, so it will be natural.
Inaction means not doing nothing, but grasping the fundamentals.
Follow the nature, stay at the node of nature, don't do it deliberately, just right, natural and no disadvantages.
By extension, the person who can really do “do nothing but do everything” is the law editor.
In fact, people can only do it, "do less and do everything", which is the weapon of causality.
For example, if I can do it, then I stand on the mountain and pour a glass of water. Well, don’t do too much, don’t pour too much water, and don’t pour too little water. Get the benefits and grasp the ingenious node of nature.
So, because of this glass of water, a series of natural effects, such as a domino-like chain reaction, finally experienced a huge storm in the United States, which was unprecedented and caused countless casualties.
This is one kind, or one side, of...doing nothing but doing everything. That is to say, in the legend, call the wind and call the rain.
Understand? So science does not go beyond this scope.
If a physicist gets it right, they can create a weather weapon, grasp the nodes of the chaotic effect, do something "just right" in a certain place, and disturb the natural system, then they can call the wind and rain.
In fact, it has already been done now. Artificial rainfall is just done more, and it is still in the stage of "doing".
No matter how strong people are, no matter how advanced the science is, they can only do "less".
Only the Tao itself can achieve complete ‘inaction’. Because everything in the world follows the Tao, there is no need to move the Tao, and there is no need to do anything. The rules are there, and the universe consciously does it.
Lao Tzu sees clearly the inaction of Tao and does everything.
So advocate doing nothing, because this is the highest state.
In fact, humans cannot achieve the highest level. At least for now, it seems impossible for us to become rule editors.
If we can, then we will be ‘enlightened’.
Exploring the Tao is called seeking the Tao. If one can understand the Tao, follow the truth in it, and influence nature appropriately, then it is called "obtaining the Tao".
The true inaction and omnipotence is 'enlightenment'.
Or in other words, agree.
This is the highest state. Lao Tzu said that doing nothing and doing everything is just talking about the "Tao" itself. Using this to demand yourself is only an ideal goal.
Actually, as long as we do ‘do less but do everything’, then we are already very happy and strong.
I really want people to achieve the highest state of inaction. What I can imagine is entering the virtual universe? Isn't this becoming a Buddha?
We create a virtual world, and we are the rules in it.
My mind is the Tao, my mind is the truth, my words are the law, and my actions are the art.
Becoming the Tao of the virtual universe, this is the highest state of 'emptiness'.
Laozi said inaction, pointing out the highest state of Tao.
But we are not Tao, we are just human beings, and manpower is limited.
So what is the highest state that a person can achieve? It is 'empty'.
So the Buddha found the next best thing, a slightly lower level of 'Hedao'.
Tao is the way of our universe, but the Buddha descends to one dimension and seeks the supremacy through emptiness.
To put it bluntly, living in the world of my own obscenity, controlling the 'rules' that are already one level lower than myself, hahaha.
So there are countries in the palm of the Buddha, and there are endless worlds.
Buddha, the enlightened one, is the highest level of enlightenment. Feel the heart, feel him, feel the action.
What did you realize? We who have awakened to the real world cannot become rule makers, because the rule makers have existed for a long time. Since the existence of this world, the Tao has existed.
The seat has been taken. We are not at the same level as the Tao of reality. We are just mortal beings, just bubbles in this dreamy world.
It is impossible for us to become the master of our own world against the sky, so what should we do?
What else can I do? We also create a universe, and we become the rules of the next-level universe, and the controllers of the next-level universe.
There is no limit to the sea of bitterness. The highest state of reality has no place for us. Even if we seek all the truth, we can only watch and follow it.
Unless, enter the virtual world and give up this stinky skin!
Turn your thoughts into the virtual world and control the Buddha Kingdom.
Buddha, the enlightened one, the kingdom of the enlightened one is the pure land.
The sea of suffering in reality, when we get out of it, realize and recognize the unrealizable nature of the real universe, and then turn back and enter the virtual universe that is born for us and follows our will, this is bliss.
There is a virtual sandbox game universe in the palm of your hand, the world is vast, and you can create it at will, isn’t it blissful?
That's why Taoism talks about detachment, and detachment upward.
Buddhism talks about enlightenment, and it’s the right thing to do when you turn your head...The top is not going to work, let’s go down and transcend...
These are the two roads of a civilization.
When the technology reaches a certain level, it is addicted to the infinitely beautiful virtual world brought by technology, or even completely abandons the stinky skin, and turns the thinking into virtual, becoming a blissful spiritual civilization.
Continue to explore, chase the unknown in this universe, and seek the 'Tao' that we may never find.
Whether to become a seeker in the sea of suffering, or an enlightened person who escapes from the sea of suffering.
The benevolent see benevolence, the wise see wisdom.
Our civilization, no matter where it goes, will eventually make its own choices.
…
p.s: Sorry. I don't know if you like this chapter ''The Weapon of Karma and the Virtual Universe of Buddha''. Hope you guys can comment more. Immortals control nature, and Buddha created inferior nature. If it is true, how strong is the first immortal cultivator? Where does his knowledge come from? Why did the Buddha determine that the real universe cannot be detached, but can only turn back? If you want to see, I can tell you a little bit. In fact, this is an idea in my next book, a sci-fi theme. Various civilizations in the universe have different choices. I will write about more than a hundred civilizations in my next book. Having said that, I want to explain all the unsolved mysteries of the earth, including immortals and Buddhas. I'm afraid that if I talk ahead of time, you will have nothing to look forward to in the next book... I want to give you some science in advance, so I'm so entangled.
