Brown Leopard City was the capital city of the Leopard Province, located a hundred kilometers north of Fortress Number 19. It was a part of the Yeduk Kingdom.

Between them, five small farmer villages acted as a buffer and hidden outposts, just in case goblins slipped through the fortress defense.

The villages were equipped with a siren system. Whenever a villager rang a bell in their town center, the bell in the Brown Leopard City would also ring, alerting the villagers and townsmen about the invasion and the monster threat.

However, the bell remained quiet for centuries after the fortress had been built to surround the last goblin territory. No monster managed to get through. Even after Shuri bombarded the fortress walls and destroyed so many sections, the knights and craftsmen worked together and rebuilt the walls in a few days.

Because of the long peace, many humans in Brown Leopard City already forgot about the goblin's threats. Only the adventurers, mercenaries, mages, and knights continued hunting them to make a living.

As Brown Leopard City was the biggest city near Fortress Number 19, many aspiring adventurers used this place as a supply hub before traveling to the frontier. As a result, many inns and taverns were packed with tourists and adventurers.

Miaomiao came across a brick building with a beer mug sign. He smirked and slipped to the back alley. Then, he followed his Qi sense, following a life signature of a young woman – Miaomiao climbed the tavern building and peeked into a window.

Inside the dark room, Miaomiao saw a bed, a dressing table, and a closet. A wooden magic staff, a purple mage hat, and a purple long gown were on the floor as if the owner left them there. On the bed, a woman was sleeping soundly.

Miaomiao widely grinned. He circulated his Qi, changing his physique into gas and entering the room. When the gas completely got inside, it condensed and materialized Miaomiao's body and clothes.

For a safety measure, Miaomiao released the sleeping gas into the room and the entire building.

"Umm."

The woman on the bed had been sleeping on her sides. She flipped her body and rested her back on the soft bed. Miaomiao stopped releasing gas. He approached the sleeping woman and checked her face and appearance.

She was a long-haired ginger with a bombshell body. Even though a blanket covered most of her body, Miaomiao identify her sexiness with just her G-cup size. However, she only had two mana circles.

Not worrying that the woman might wake up, Miaomiao threw away her blanket. Then, he almost laughed.

After landing, Miaomiao kicked the ground and sprinted away from the city while wearing knight armor. 30 minutes after he had started running, Miaomiao arrived at a farmer's village.

It was too late to return to the goblin forest. Miaomiao got stuck behind the enemy lines. He had to find a place to hide during the day.

As Miaomiao had no place to hide, he looked at the farmer's village nearby. Since he still wore a knight uniform and armor, he wondered if he could continue disguising himself and avoiding attention. With nothing to lose, he decided to act natural, walking down the street and visiting the village.

When Miaomiao approached, the villagers gazed at him. However, they soon looked away as if they had seen many knights before, and it was a common sight.

Noticing that nobody cared about him, Miaomiao let out a sigh of relief. He continued walking into the village, hoping to find a place to rest.

Along the way, Miaomiao came across a big cabin with a pouch signboard. He stopped his feet and looked at it, wondering if it was an item store in the legends.

In front of the building, an elderly man was busy pouring a bucket of water into an earth jar. He noticed Miaomiao's gaze and stopped his work. Then, he came to greet him.

"Hello, sir knight. Are you in need of supplies or lunchboxes? Our town is specialized in rice balls."

Miaomiao hadn't eaten rice balls for ages. He coughed and asked the villager, "Sure. Can I see your goods?"

"Of course, sir!" The elder laughed. While he led Miaomiao to his building, he teased him, "You have a peculiar accent, sir knight. Are you from the South?"

Miaomiao frowned. He thought the goblins and humans spoke the same language. However, this guy noticed the subtle difference between the goblin and human languages.

"I'm from the capital of Yeduk, though," Miaomiao played it cool.

Miaomiao and the elder entered the building. Then, the former found himself in a convenience store.

A dozen potions and glass bottles with colorful liquid sat on wooden shelves to his right. To Miaomiao's left, a formation of wooden shelves showed many canteens, flints, small shovels, and random handheld tools. On the counter at the end of the store, a large box containing 20 rice balls stood out.

Miaomiao looked around. Under each item, a hand-written label showed the price of each item.

Seeing the price of the items, Miaomiao frowned. He patted the hanging pouches on his belt, which Miaomiao had looted from dead knights and the sleeping people. In the leather pouches, many big and small coins jiggled.

'Nobody teaches me about the currency. Oh, well.'

Miaomiao pulled a pouch on this belt and opened it. He looked at the content and picked an unimpressive silver coin out. Then, he asked the vendor.

"How many coins for the rice balls? Can I pay with this coin?"

Miaomiao carried the package of rice balls and turned around, planning to leave.
