Change the world from Hogwarts

Chapter Seventeen: Blatant Provocation

The lounges of the four colleges are located in different places, but Connor could only see a general direction along the way.

For example, the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw lounges were upstairs, and Connor saw their prefects taking them up the changing stairs, while the Slytherin and Hufflepuff lounges were

Located underground.

Because of this, they walked together for a while, but there was an episode in the middle.

"Look who I found, the children of the Bones family... are really pitiful. The nouveau riche who had finally prospered now look like they are not only withering away, but the only girl has entered Hufflepuff."

Just when the two houses were running parallel, a sharp and harsh voice came from Slytherin.

And this moment caused a series of laughter - almost all of them full of sarcasm and malice.

Connor was the first to react, but he didn't show any other emotions. He just narrowed his eyes.

Those Slytherin guys can't stop?

Emotional?

No, this is obviously looking for trouble.

After hearing this, Susan, who was still talking and laughing with Hannah, suddenly turned red.

"You...you guys."

She looked a little overwhelmed, her mind was blank, and she had no idea how to deal with this situation.

As for Hannah, she was immediately furious:

"How dare you say that!"

She was usually gentle, but now she looked like an angry lion.

"You want to fight, right?"

Ernie had rolled up his sleeves and looked like he was about to fight.

A group fight seemed to be about to break out, but before the little badgers could express their anger, someone stepped forward to stop them:

It’s Hufflepuff’s prefect: Georgina Smith.

"calm down."

She is not as showy as Gabriel, but stays quietly among the crowd.

"Gabriel, don't start any big conflict. This is obviously Slytherin's trap. You know, their usual method."

"I know……"

With a gloomy and ugly expression, Gabriel couldn't help clenching his fists.

Then, he let out a long sigh of relief and directly blocked the Slytherins' path.

"So, is this how you discipline the people in your college? Flint, Farley."

Gabriel immediately focused on the two prefects of Slytherin:

Marcus Flint and Gemma Farley.

Flint had a mocking attitude that was afraid of chaos, while the female prefect Gemma Farley just squinted her eyes like a snake.

"I'm sorry about this matter, I will take good care of it."

But these words were obviously just words, and the casual attitude further stimulated the little badgers' self-esteem.

"What, that kind of attitude."

"Not even a basic apology?"

"Who was talking before?"

"Be quiet."

In the end, it was Gabriel who spoke up to silence the other students.

"Cedric, lead the others back, Georgina, keep an eye on the new students."

"Um."

Then, Connor saw Gabriel and pulled out his wand from his sleeve.

"Farley, Flint, let the person who spoke before come out and apologize. I don't want to make things worse."

Hufflepuff's prefect has a bad temper after all, and it's obviously impossible to just swallow this kind of frustration.

"Come out and apologize, then this matter can be revealed, and if you want to make a big fuss over this... Believe me, you don't want to do that. The prefect of Ravenclaw two years ago has seen it till now

I always take a detour."

"Can I take this as a challenge to Slytherin? Gabriel?"

Now that the conversation has reached this point, it is certainly impossible for the two Slytherin prefects to remain silent.

They also walked out of the crowd, with a rather tit-for-tat atmosphere.

"Whatever you imagine, whether it's a snake, an eagle, or a lion, I've never been afraid. All I want now is an apology!"

For a time, the atmosphere was tense, and Hufflepuff and Slytherin formed an extremely stiff atmosphere of confrontation.

But this confrontation makes no sense to Connor.

What exactly is the purpose of Slytherin?

Then, the sound of short footsteps coming from the corner attracted his attention.

It was a dark figure:

"It's already curfew time, what are you doing standing here?"

It was Severus Snape, and he seemed to have arrived at the scene at the right moment.

"Professor, Mr. Gabriel, now Hufflepuff, is still blocking us and preventing us from returning to the common room."

Flint said with a grin, and that smile completely revealed the meaning of gossip.

And this suddenly angered Gabriel, who already had a bad temper.

"Cut the nonsense! I demand an apology now!"

However, Snape turned a deaf ear to Gabriel's obvious anger.

"It's time for access control now. You should return to your respective lounges. After that, the prefects should complete their night patrol work."

"But they..."

"This is school rule, Mr. Truman."

It looked like they were playing fifty-fifty each, but anyone could see that the big, greasy bat was indeed playing off the ball.

Faced with Professor Snape's almost suffocating slow tone, almost all Hufflepuff students felt breathless.

What happens when the professor proposes to end this matter completely?

Prefects are just students after all...

"Are you showing off your power?"

"Yes, this is a show of force."

Also staying awake was Cedric.

After hearing Connor's emotion, he couldn't help but say:

"Because it's about a family tragedy, it's not something to show off. Gabriel can't use Bones' family tragedy as a polemical weapon. This will definitely further hurt Susan."

"But if we just back down like this, the school will be full of rumors against Gabriel the next day, saying that as a prefect, he cannot protect the students of his own college."

Cedric nodded.

"Well, if it's serious, even within the academy there will be dissatisfaction... And if we pursue the case too much, it might come out that we bullied the Slytherin freshmen or took the lead in provoking group fights. If it's serious, we might even be detained.

Points...well, I think this is their purpose."

"New students... Speaking of voices, the person who spoke before shouldn't be very old."

"Yes, this is the troublesome part. In fact, from the moment Professor Snape appeared, we had no possibility of fighting back..."

"What about going to Professor Sprout now?"

"It's useless. A conflict has already occurred. The problem is not with the professor, but with Gabriel."

"But Professor Snape also appeared here, we..."

"Everyone in Hogwarts knows that Professor Snape is partial, and this is what Slytherin relies on."

Cedric was analyzing over there, but such a conclusion made Connor frown.

He realized the cause, process, and result of the whole thing. It couldn't be said to be thorough, but he firmly grasped the word 'privilege'.

And everything is based on that shameless attitude.

"So even if this matter was instigated by a Slytherin student, the professor wouldn't care about it?"
