#1182 - So close yet so far away
War raged in the void... Ships of the Human Alliance and the Boka Sasha engaged in fierce combat, with warships tilting and exploding from time to time, turning into dazzling balls of light. The shockwaves of the explosions spread out, like large bubbles in the void, both beautiful and dangerous. Squadrons of fighters streaked through the artillery fire, constantly extending the reach of the war deeper and farther...
This was no longer an ordinary war. At this moment, both sides, whether for humanity or the Boka Sasha, had gambled the existence of their races. There was no fairness, no compassion. Every participant had bloodshot eyes, gritting their teeth, wanting to kill the other. Victory or defeat was not important; what mattered was being able to send the seeds of humanity to the central celestial body in this world of spreading destruction.
The Gate of Eternal Farewell!
Only by occupying that place would humanity, and all the races that had followed humanity to this day, have a future...
"Charge! Faster, faster!"
Overhead, a massive warship tilted slowly, spewing out debris and fire rain. In the shadow beneath the warship, human warriors surged forward, like shining meteors. Warriors fell continuously, and new warriors joined in ceaselessly. Everyone seemed to have forgotten their own existence. And in front of them, warriors of the Boka and Sasha races desperately intercepted them. Perhaps, for them, fighting against ants like humans was a disgrace in itself. But the current situation was... even ants stood at the same height as them.
Shattered pride...
Every Boka and Sasha warrior felt this bitterness in their hearts.
But at this time, they couldn't afford to think too much. Although they held an absolute advantage in terms of both ship groups and space warriors, the problem was that this was not a war of annihilation, but a war of breakthrough. Before Xie and Saros entered the Gate of Eternal Farewell, their defeat would be if they allowed humans to forcibly land in the central basin.
Humans didn't need victory. All they needed was to rush in... to rush through that gate.
"Stop them!" A Sasha Overlord commanded loudly, while activating his own world of cognition. But before his world could take shape, a black figure flashed past him like lightning, effortlessly taking his head. The headless corpse spurted out a long column of blood, and then was torn apart by a second person, and a third person.
Blood瞳 flew at high speed, while sticking his bloody fingers into his mouth and licking them...
"The taste is terrible..."
"That's not good for you," Robbie said in a low voice, flying alongside him. "Their blood isn't clean enough."
"No one's blood is clean. The only difference is whether I need it or not," Blood瞳 replied. A cold light flashed in his eyes, and he swept past a Boka squad again, instantly creating six clones to annihilate this stellar-level squad. Then, he returned to Robbie's side. "Just warming up, their blood makes me excited."
"I've been waiting a long time for this moment."
"Okay." Robbie nodded and said nothing more, but a strange look flashed in his eyes.
Blood瞳's state was too strange, even as a companion. He could feel the chilling killing intent emanating from Blood瞳. That killing intent seemed to emanate from his bones, so cold and hungry. It was like a bloodthirsty demon. Blood would excite the demon, and awaken the demon god.
This made Robbie very worried.
Ahead, the void began to distort, and a passage formed, faintly feeling a voice echoing in their thoughts. It seemed to be summoning them to enter this passage. It was the ancient Titan's ancestor, that monster-like super Titan. It had assimilated this space with its body, opening a passage for Blood瞳 and the others.
Blood瞳 and the others didn't hesitate and plunged in.
When they opened their eyes again, they had arrived at the central celestial body. Before them was the edge of an endless basin. On the basin ahead, densely packed warriors were waiting for them. Behind them was a huge energy gate. Even without telepathy, Blood瞳 and Robbie could clearly see the two figures in front of the energy gate, and the huge magic导母舰 and Sasha母皇 above their heads.
Xie, Saros.
"It seems our warriors couldn't stop them." Xie withdrew his gaze from Blood瞳 and said to Saros.
"That guy is Blood瞳?" Saros licked his lips, a look of greed in his eyes. "He has the aura of the abyss. I want him."
"I know, Saros. But not now." Xie shook his head, and pointed to the energy gate behind him. "The Gate of Eternal Farewell is complete. We must go in first. As for him, deal with him when you become the Lord of the Universe. I believe you will have the qualifications to devour him by then."
"I have the qualifications now!" Saros said dissatisfied. But seeing Xie's smile, he finally swallowed his anger.
Then, he stretched out a thumb to Blood瞳 in the distance, and turned it downwards.
"I will be back! Blood瞳." He said this, sending the sound directly into Blood瞳's eardrums. "I hope you can live until then, and then, I will personally let you taste the taste of hell."
After saying that, he took the Sasha母皇 and walked into the Gate of Eternal Farewell. His figure disappeared without a trace...
Behind him, Xie glanced at Blood瞳, and shook his head slightly. "You're late."
"Not late." Blood瞳 replied, his gaze sweeping over the dense crowd of people at his feet. He said calmly, "Still in time to see you off."
"Ha... you really are as stubborn as you were then." Xie smiled dumbly. He pointed to the figures below and said to Blood瞳, "Do you know who they are? Do you know the meaning of them staying here?"
"Don't know." Blood瞳 shook his head, his voice still calm and unwavering. "But those who block me are all the same."
"Then let's wait and see." Xie smiled slightly, and without arguing, he turned and walked towards the Gate of Eternal Farewell. He stopped just before entering the gate and said in a deep voice, "I leave it all to you."
"As you wish." An old man in a white robe replied, his face expressionless. "As long as you can let the great Boka obtain the crown, then we, the decaying ones who have crawled out of the grave, have the value of sacrifice."
"You will not sacrifice in vain, I promise." Xie nodded to the old man in the white robe. "I swear by the ancient glory of the Boka clan."
"All glory to Boka."
"All glory to Boka." The old man echoed, and then bowed and saluted.
Xie's figure disappeared into the Gate of Eternal Farewell. Only then did the old man stand up and face Blood瞳. From his angle, he could see human warriors constantly flying out of the passage behind Blood瞳, those elites with fighting spirit and hope burning in their eyes. Just like those rebels he had personally buried countless years ago.
"I'm sorry, there is no stage for heroes here." He said this, and then with a wave of his hand, he drove away the sky, and with a stomp of his foot, he shattered the earth.
A terrifying aura emanated from his body, instantly extracting this basin from the universe and isolating it into a separate space. A large amount of energy spread out, stirring up ripples in the space. Behind him, two other old men in similar attire came out, looking at Blood瞳 and the humans with calm eyes.
"Welcome to our world."
"The Grave of Gods."
