Colonial Suit

#260 - overbearing!

That warship was simply too large, with a hull spanning nearly a thousand kilometers. Its armor was extraordinarily thick, resembling a colossal mountain range abruptly appearing in the starry sky.

However, contrary to everyone's expectations, this warship even sported ancient ramming prows. The ship's layout was reminiscent of arrangements from thousands of years ago, even featuring external quad-barreled missile turrets.

"It's actually a primitive warship?"

On the pursuit shuttle, Robbie almost burst out laughing.

He never imagined he would see such an antiquated relic in space.

The era of warships had largely passed during the Great Chaos. However, as symbols of cosmic supremacy, warships still lingered in the universe, constantly evolving with the times. To counter increasingly powerful individual combatants, modern warships had mostly become smaller and faster, rarely relying on heavy armor and massive cannons for dominance.

But this one was clearly an exception. Its shape and layout were undeniably of the primitive, heavily armored, giant cannon type. How could that not be laughable?

Nevertheless, the sheer size of the warship was initially awe-inspiring, immediately stunning everyone present.

The massive ship rumbled out of its warp jump, crashing into the battlefield like a clumsy bull, directly cutting between the two sides. Judging by its clumsy, swaying movements, the operator was clearly inexperienced. However, this effectively separated the combatants, halting Robbie's pursuit of the space pirates.

The space pirates, caught off guard by this unexpected development, froze momentarily but quickly recovered, scattering like fleeing dogs.

Countless pursuit shuttles launched from the asteroid, resembling a giant beehive.

"Is it deliberate, or accidental?" Robbie's gaze turned sharp, intently fixed on the colossal warship before him. Though he couldn't explain why, his instincts as a warrior told him that things weren't so simple.

At that moment, Lira on the giant ship was also stunned.

She hadn't expected to emerge from the warp jump into such a chaotic battlefield. As the leader of the Mutants, she possessed more knowledge than most, instantly grasping the situation with a single glance. She couldn't help but feel a headache coming on.

"It seems… our arrival was rather ill-timed."

"My Queen," Sarek declared, his cloak billowing as he knelt before Lira on one knee. "I await your command at any moment."

Sarek's massive frame resembled a small mountain, radiating fierce battle intent. This was the Mutants' first battle after leaving X35, and as a Prince, he naturally bore the responsibility.

In fact, within the giant ship at that moment, he was practically the only one capable of fighting. The Mutants had only just left X35, and were far from evolving the ability to engage in space combat. Even possessing some outdated armor was of little use. Among the Mutants, Sarek was unmatched in personal combat prowess. From the very beginning, he had been awakened as a combatant, every cell and factor of his body imbued with the mark of battle.

He was a man born to fight. That was his destiny!

Behind Lira, Murdoch's eyes gleamed with excitement.

He was also a combatant, though unlike Sarek's personal strength, he specialized in command. Regardless, their first time leaving the planet, their first time entering space, and their first time witnessing a space battle were all incredibly novel experiences for him, naturally filling him with excitement.

Unfortunately, no matter what they did, Lira's mind was elsewhere.

As the leader of the Mutants, she considered more than just herself, but the future of an entire race.

Through the porthole, she watched the Silent Howling Jackals still hunting the space pirates in space, and suddenly stood up.

"My Queen!" Sarek exclaimed, his helmet emitting a fierce gaze.

"Enough said," Lira gently tossed her serpentine hair, a perfect smile gracing her face. "This time, I'll handle it."

"My Queen, no!" Sarek stood abruptly, blocking Lira's path like a mountain. "My Queen, your safety concerns the rise and fall of our race. Please allow me to fight for you!"

"Sarek," Lira frowned slightly, looking up at the imposing Prince. "You are defying my will."

"If it is for your safety," Sarek lowered his head, meeting Lira's gaze without yielding. "I am willing to bear all consequences."

"You really are…" Lira sighed, then extended a flawless white hand, gently placing it on Sarek's solid chest.

"You never learn your lesson…"

A blue flame flashed on her palm, and Sarek's massive body shot away like a discarded sack. He burst into flames mid-air, instantly becoming a human torch. He crashed through several facilities along the way, and when he finally hit the ground, he was charred black, emitting a strong, acrid odor, barely escaping being burned to death.

Even so, he scrambled to his feet and knelt on one knee in Lira's path.

"My Queen! If I cannot fight for you, then please kill me!"

Sarek's voice boomed like thunder, shaking the entire bridge. As his words echoed, everyone's eyes lit up, and they rose from their seats one by one.

What were they?

They were Mutants, creatures scorned by humanity, garbage, ugliness, a collection of everything that shouldn't exist! If not for Lira, they would still be mindless beasts, wallowing in the polluted mud like animals! Lira awakened them, and she was their God!

To fight for their God!

It was their responsibility, their duty, their honor!

Looking at the crew below, Lira shook her head and stepped down from the captain's chair, pausing slightly as she passed Sarek.

"If… you insist on following, don't expect me to wait for you."

"I will follow my Queen!" Sarek answered loudly, then rose and followed Lira, filling the crew with envy.

Soon, Lira and Sarek appeared in the void of space…

This was their first time in space, but they felt little discomfort because they had evolved to a certain stage. Sarek still wore his heavy armor, with only a few thrusters added to his back for movement. Lira, on the other hand, didn't need anything, simply walking out in her hooded cloak.

Seeing their figures, Robbie's heart skipped a beat.

"Meteor-class?"

Only Meteor-class and above could operate in space using their bodies alone. Robbie clearly hadn't expected such figures to emerge from the giant ship.

However, the battle had progressed too far for him to simply walk away.

The fighting outside had reached a fever pitch.

Although Lira's giant ship had divided the battlefield, many space pirates remained on Robbie's side. Nearly a hundred henchmen warriors launched a massacre like a pack of wolves. Anti-matter spears flashed across the sky, each strike claiming a life. Among them, Jules stood out the most, single-handedly overwhelming three space pirates.

Those three space pirates were also Apprentice-level, and their strength wouldn't be considered weak. The problem was that Jules' ability was too terrifying. Metal Negation meant that metal-made armor was practically useless against her. Coupled with her psychokinetic knives, she was practically a grim reaper. No one could withstand her for long.

Dozens of corpses floated scattered around the battlefield, each riddled with small holes, all victims of the three space pirates' henchmen.

The three space pirates struggled desperately, but could only delay Jules for a moment. Just as they were about to fall, they spotted Lira and Sarek and their eyes lit up as they shot toward them.

In desperation, they exerted all their strength, their armor spewing trails dozens of meters long. They moved with meteor-like speed.

Lira and Sarek noticed them. Lira remained expressionless, but Sarek silently stepped forward, blocking the three space pirates' path.

"Save me! Are you Her Majesty Lira? I am Corval!" One space pirate shouted urgently, recognizing Lira's identity. Lira wouldn't have made preparations before deciding to join the space pirates. She had contacted these space pirates as early as on X35. This Corval was one of the space pirates who knew about this.

He would naturally contact Lira carefully in normal times, but he couldn't care about that right now. Jules was chasing him from behind. He knew how powerful she was. He couldn't wait for Lira to help him out of this situation immediately.

But he never expected Sarek to block his way.

Who was Sarek? He was simply a human-shaped killing machine. Perhaps only Lira in the entire universe could make him bow his head. He was burning with violent factors from the inside out. How could Corval expect him to make way?

Sarek silently blocked the three space pirates, unmoving like a mountain. His gaze in the shadow of his helmet was cold, as silent as a rock.

The three space pirates thought Sarek had acquiesced when they saw this, and were overjoyed, wanting to fly past Sarek.

But just as they brushed past Sarek, Sarek suddenly stretched out his arms and grabbed the necks of two space pirates.

With a "crack" sound, the two space pirates' eyes bulged out, and Sarek directly snapped their necks. Their headless bodies continued to rush forward, but instantly tumbled in space, spilling patches of blood.

"You!?" The only remaining space pirate, Corval, was furious.

He never expected Sarek to do this, but before he could resist, he saw Sarek silently throwing away the two heads and punching him.

The next moment, he felt a pain all over his body and knew nothing…

In space, a ball of blood exploded, and in full view of everyone, Corval was blasted into pieces by Sarek's punch from more than 500 meters away.

At that moment, the blood light was brilliant.
