Colonial Suit
#685 - The abomination of the universe!
Blood瞳's kiss was greedy, as if to condense all the hardship and anticipation into it, and Lier responded enthusiastically. Their lips and tongues intertwined, wishing they could melt into one.
After a moment, Blood瞳 released Lier and threw the crystal pillar on his shoulder to the side.
With a boom, the crystal pillar stirred up a large cloud of dust. More fragments fell off.
"Caran Nald Isotopes, with these, we won't have to worry about resources," Blood瞳 said to Lier with a smile. "Didn't you want a villa? We'll buy it when we sell this."
"That's good..." Lier blinked, her face calm. "But, Blood瞳, is your body okay?"
"I'm fine, nothing happened this time," Blood瞳 replied, then walked towards the crystallized cabin.
"I want to rest for a while, call me when dinner is ready."
"Okay," Lier said quietly, watching Blood瞳's back gradually disappear. Only then did she tap the crystal pillar with her toe. "Really... a luxurious civilization, I can feel the energy contained within. Just this small piece is enough to power a planet for four months... I really don't know how vast those civilizations that used it would be."
"But... it doesn't mean anything to me. I really like my life now."
As she said this, she turned and walked towards the bonfire.
Just then, a rumbling sound suddenly came from the sky, and a large shadow covered her head. Through the clouds, she could see a huge warship, like a space fortress, descending towards the planet. Because of the turbulent gravitational field, it had already triggered tremors in the celestial body.
Lier raised her head and looked at the spaceship with disgust. Her voice suddenly turned cold. "What annoying fellows, don't they know I'm resting?"
As she spoke, she suddenly raised her hand and waved it.
Visibly to the naked eye, the descending spaceship suddenly burst into flames. All the armor plates and the hull were enveloped in a strange orange flame. The armor plates melted rapidly. Even the external energy shields began to disintegrate. This change happened extremely quickly, in just a few seconds. But the giant ship seemed to have encountered the most terrifying thing, and fearfully ascended upwards. It quickly disappeared from Lier's sight.
Only then did Lier breathe a sigh of impatience and lower her head to tidy up the food on the bonfire.
Yes. She really liked this kind of life, and she would never allow anyone to disturb them.
It had been seven years since she escaped from the ruins. Lier had not only recovered all her vitality, but her strength had also reached an astonishing level. The peak of the Planetary level! Just a little bit more and she could enter the terrifying power of the Stellar level. If unchecked, her every breath could combine with the surrounding cosmic rules, and her every move could cause changes in the environment. She had become a non-human existence.
A true god.
The once mysterious cosmic rules were no longer mysterious. Lier could see many lines shuttling through space and time at any time. Space, physics, everything was marked and operated within the lines. She knew that this was the rule, and she could touch and modify them, but it would come at a price.
However, for a Planetary-level powerhouse, modifying the rules was part of the path to evolution. Lier didn't care. What she cared about was that she didn't have much room for modification anymore.
Yes, her power had reached the peak of the Planetary level, the limit that the cosmic rules could allow. Generally, a Planetary level could only modify one rule at a time, but her modification would trigger a terrifying chain reaction. The change of one rule would involve the change of ten, a hundred rules.
This was undoubtedly a provocation to the universe.
Without a doubt, this was reflected in reality as terrifying power, but Lier knew that, aside from the display of power, the truth was a deadly poison. She couldn't continue like this. Excessive modification of the cosmic rules was actually a form of destruction, which would trigger the universe's backlash. In fact, this situation occurred in all Planetary levels, and they called it 'Critical Point'. It was proof of an impending breakthrough, and the only way to reduce the impact of this situation was to break through the Planetary level and reach the true Stellar level.
At that time, her modification of the rules would become a replacement, thereby reducing, or even avoiding, the universe's resistance.
However, it wasn't easy.
Although she was only one step away, Lier knew that this step was not easy to take. In the end, it was because her understanding and integration with the universe was not deep enough. Under normal circumstances, she would need at least several hundred years to perfect it, but now she didn't have that much time.
In fact, Lier felt that if she couldn't enter the Stellar level within fifty years, she would completely lose her Planetary-level power and become an ordinary person.
Of course, this was only the ordinariness of her power, and had nothing to do with her life and level of evolution. As long as she could enter the Stellar level, these constraints would naturally disappear.
This was terrifying. For Lier, who was used to power, losing her power was like being naked and exposed to the cold wind, reminding her of the difficult years in x35. She didn't want to suffer like that again. Everything she had now was earned with her life and Blood瞳's struggle, and she cherished it and was willing to pay anything for it.
So she had decided to break through to the Stellar level during this time, thereby breaking the shackles that bound her.
But before that, there was something even more terrible in front of her.
That was Blood瞳.
Blood瞳 was even more dangerous than her.
Her crisis was the crisis of her power reaching its limit and being rejected by the universe. But Blood瞳 had gone even further than her. It was no longer just rejection, but hatred!
Yes, hatred!!
Even without careful feeling, Lier knew how difficult Blood瞳 was now. His existence had simply become a tumor in the universe. There was restless energy surrounding him at all times. There was hatred of fate spying on him at all times. Although Lier still didn't know how far Blood瞳's power had reached, she knew that Blood瞳 was no longer tolerated by this universe.
To be precise, Blood瞳 was being antagonized by the universe.
Every day, Blood瞳 had to carefully hide himself to prevent the disaster caused by the loss of control of his power. He couldn't release his power, because that would trigger the universe's riot. He couldn't modify the rules, because that would kill him and everyone around him.
For him, the universe was no longer a warm place to live, but a cage, a hell!
Lier could clearly feel that Blood瞳's heart was roaring in this hell. Although his appearance was still the same, although he was still the same apocalyptic teenager from x35, his soul was proudly overlooking this universe.
He was waiting...
Waiting for the day he would step back into the universe.
Dying in silence, being reborn in an explosion.
He... was becoming the enemy of the universe. (To be continued...)
