Colonial Suit

#696 - The night before departure

Time passed, and in the blink of an eye, five hours had gone by. The night had fallen on Deep Shining Star, bringing with it a thick chill and howling cold winds. Fragments of crystal flew through the air, and some rocks, grazed by the shards, sparked with layers of fire.

Blood瞳 stood up and walked to the shore.

His body did not appear burly, but it was extremely well-proportioned, and the active tendons had a steel-whip-like resilience. Some fragments struck him with the wind, but they were merely deflected away with a scratch. Blood瞳 moved his limbs, then stretched out his right hand.

Whoosh…

His right hand disappeared for an instant, and when it reappeared, it held a crystal fragment. The fragment was flying with the wind, but Blood瞳 had ‘plucked’ it from the air with one hand, his speed truly as fast as lightning. Blood瞳 glanced at the fragment in his palm, then crushed it with a single squeeze of his fingers. A pure energy was released and absorbed by his pores.

Closing his eyes, Blood瞳 felt the slight stinging sensation of the energy entering his blood vessels, and he took a deep breath.

His body no longer belonged to a human. It was truly terrifying like a monster. Blood瞳 had no doubt that even if the planet beneath his feet were immediately destroyed, he would not die.

“Blood瞳…”

A soft voice called in his ear, and Blood瞳 turned his head, immediately seeing a graceful figure.

Li'er was standing by the cottage, looking at him, her eyes full of tenderness.

“It’s time to rest.”

“I want to move around a bit more,” Blood瞳 replied, while moving his limbs. He intended to do some more training. Although training had long been an indispensable part of his life, Blood瞳 still felt it was not enough. He wanted to be stronger, stronger…

However, Li'er didn't seem to want him to continue tonight, because Li'er knew that if Blood瞳 continued to train, he wouldn't rest. In fact, in these seven years, Blood瞳 had mostly replaced rest with training, and the number of times he actually slept was very few.

He was like a tightly stretched steel wire, and no one knew when it would break.

Smiling, Li'er stepped forward and gently took Blood瞳's hand, then ‘squeezed’ herself into Blood瞳's arms. Li'er's body was very soft, as soft as a cloud. If one didn't experience it personally, they probably wouldn't believe that this was the once cold and cruel Mutant Queen. She playfully poked Blood瞳's face with her finger, then gently kissed Blood瞳.

“Rest, okay?”

Li'er's voice was as soft as the wind, and her expression had a timid weakness that made one want to ravage her. Looking at this weak little woman, a surge of tenderness suddenly welled up in Blood瞳's heart. He nodded silently, picked up Li'er in one fell swoop, and walked towards the cottage.

Soft moans echoed in the cottage, carrying far in the night wind…

………………………………

After the passion, Blood瞳 held Li'er's soft body and lay on his back on the bed. His eyes were unfocused, as if he could penetrate the roof and reach the stars. Li'er curled up obediently beside him, like a Persian cat. Her smooth red hair was scattered along the edge of the bed, indescribably beautiful.

After a while, Li'er picked up a cigarette from the side and put it in Blood瞳's mouth, then lit it for him…

“I need to go out for a while.”

In the darkness, Li'er's quiet voice sounded. Her fingers tapped lightly on Blood瞳's bare chest, somewhat playfully, somewhat adorably.

“Where are you going?” Blood瞳 asked calmly.

“Back to the Nether Domain,” Li'er sighed softly. “I have a country there. I've been gone for seven years now, and I'm worried they'll be bullied.”

“You should know that as long as I don't show up, no one will dare to touch your people,” Blood瞳 thought for a moment, then gently comforted her. “They'll be fine.”

“Maybe…” Li'er smiled slightly, then kissed Blood瞳's chest. “But aren't you about to appear too? When that time comes, some people will be eager to make trouble. I want to go back and see, and also find a way to help them develop faster. Hee, I have some Krodir technology that should make them stronger too.”

“That's not a good thing,” Blood瞳 shook his head. “If you apply the technology to them, they may become targets.”

“So… I have to go there myself. Maybe I should make some people restrain themselves. Their greed has tired me…”

“What do you want to do?”

“The Nether Domain is a good place, with a complex environment and a major transportation hub. The Star Pirates have occupied it for too long. I think they should learn when to give up.”

“Star Pirates?” Blood瞳 frowned and thought. “That won't be easy.”

“Of course. But it's not difficult either,” Li'er replied with a light laugh. Her fingers moved even more playfully. “Just some old-fashioned parasites. Maybe I won't even have to do it myself, and they'll be swept away by my subordinates.”

“But the problem is, the Star Pirates also have strong people. Your actions will provoke their backlash.”

“Then kill them,” Li'er raised an eyebrow, finally revealing a hint of baleful aura. But in an instant, she weakly leaned on Blood瞳 again. “Even a King… doesn't care…”

“…………” Blood瞳 was silent. How could he not understand Li'er's thoughts? With their current strength, they could easily crush anything below the planetary level. And although they couldn't guarantee victory against the stellar level above the planetary level, it wouldn't be difficult to avoid defeat. After all, it was Li'er's home field, and with the Krodir cells she possessed, she had many ways to make those self-righteous 'strong people' swallow bitter fruit.

But… this way she would be separated from him again.

Although the two had a deep relationship, they spent little time together. They had been separated almost since leaving x35, and had only recently come back together. Blood瞳 cherished this brief warmth. But since he was about to set off as well, he naturally couldn't restrain Li'er's thoughts.

“You decide,” Blood瞳 sighed, and then said, “I have to go to the Mercenary Headquarters. I won't be able to accompany you this time.”

“I know…” Li'er licked her lips, then imprinted a red mark on Blood瞳's chest. “The mercenaries have also been restless recently. Their reasons are also why I'm going back. By the way, do you know? Your little vassal has been doing quite well recently. Not only does he have a good position in the mercenary system, but he also has an identity on the Star Pirate side. This little guy is actually learning from Jules, playing both sides.”

“Is it Singer?” Blood瞳 thought of the burly figure and couldn't help but smile knowingly.

“I heard he's already a Meteor level.”

“He's at the peak of the Comet level,” Li'er chuckled. “That little guy is very good at hiding his strength. Is he afraid of being implicated by us? And this time he was also sent to my place by the mercenaries. I suspect some people can't help but want to use him to make a move.”

“Then cut off that hand,” Blood瞳 said, then stretched out his hand and hugged Li'er tightly again. The force was so strong that it seemed as if he wanted to crush Li'er.

Li'er giggled and bit Blood瞳 on the shoulder.

The night is still long…

But when the dawn of the next day comes, who will know where the two will be? (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
