#764 - Mutant's mutation

Sixth World: Domain of Specters.

A planet of love and betrayal.

This is a planet that is half solid and half gaseous. The so-called love and betrayal aren't derived from any particular story, but purely an exaggerated description of the planet's form. In most people's eyes, the half filled with misty gas is the planet's betrayal of itself.

Moreover, that gas is highly toxic.

"Damn it, it's festering again."

Singer leaned against a huge rock, biting hard on a bandage with his teeth, tightly constricting the left half of his body. The cold moonlight scattered across the sky, illuminating Singer's terrifying body.

His body was already rotting, or more accurately, decaying. Although he was still alive, and his body still surged with vigorous vitality, he was a gruesome sight. With the center of his brow as the dividing line, the right half of his body was as good as new, but the left half was covered in blisters, the skin ulcerated, exposing the writhing tendons and blood vessels, bones and nerves underneath. Acrid pus flowed through the gaps in the bandage, emitting a strong stench.

This was, of course, not a normal phenomenon, nor was it something that could be caused by ordinary combat.

The reason was that Singer had infiltrated an important planet three days ago and saw things he shouldn't have seen.

It was the most crucial part of his mission, and he had indeed accomplished it. But the price was that it made him wish he were dead.

Those who haven't experienced it personally can never imagine such horror, especially watching one's own body rot without being able to do anything about it. It was simply the most terrifying torture in the world. And as a cosmic mercenary, the first, and currently only, vassal of Blood瞳, Singer was experiencing all of this.

In the dim moonlight, his body emitted a thick stench. Singer used his last bit of strength to tighten the bandage, then leaned softly against the rock.

He was tired, and in pain, but not afraid in the slightest.

Even though he was currently suffering the most terrifying torture in the world, he was not afraid, nor did he have any hesitation or bewilderment. The reason was that in the past seven years, he had already experienced too many life-and-death trials, struggles, and confusions.

He was a vassal of Blood瞳, the only inheritor of Blood瞳 in the current universe.

From that violent rainy night, Singer knew whose hands his future was in. At that time, he was just an ordinary person, but now he was already a Meteor-level warrior. Singer knew very well who had brought him out of the abyss of endless despair and who had given him hope. It was a powerful, terrifying man, but the most awe-inspiring thing about him was not his strength, but his will.

Absolute!

An irresistible will!!!

Singer swore that even though he had been training for seven years and had seen countless strong people in the universe, and had long since escaped the category of ordinary people, he had never seen such a pure, such a firm will. It could no longer be simply called will, it was simply absolute and indescribable absolute!

It was purity beyond purity!!

As a vassal of Blood瞳, the inheritor of Blood瞳, although Blood瞳 had never taught him again after that time, Singer had still consulted all the files related to the Blood瞳 lineage, and of course knew how powerful and determined his predecessor, the legendary Lord Hanser, was.

They were all the condensation of will, the embodiment of will.

Their lineage was the inheritance of will!!

So Singer had always demanded himself with a strange standard.

The body can rot, the power can be abandoned, even existence itself can be regarded as non-existent! But the will must never be allowed to be defiled or shrink back.

This requirement had caused Singer a lot of difficulties in the past, but it had also brought him a lot of benefits.

Just like now.

Half of his body was rotting, and half of his blood vessels and organs were dying. If it were an ordinary person, or even a general cosmic mercenary, they would have been unable to bear it and would have been wailing in pain. But Singer just cursed fiercely, and after giving himself some simple medical treatment, he ignored it. His body was still very strong, and the most important thing was that his will was still pure. So even if half of his body rotted away, he would still be firm and still have more than 80% of his combat power.

Fight to the death, never yield, this is the characteristic of their lineage.

Even if they die, they must continue to fight.

"Damn it, it still hurts so much." Singer muttered with a frown, took out a wine flask from his body and took a sip. There was no fine wine in the flask, it was pure alcohol. So one sip almost made him vomit. But similarly, the burning sensation began to numb his nerves, making him feel much better.

As a cosmic mercenary, alcohol doesn't have much effect, but actively accepting it is another matter. There's no need to mobilize energy for problems that can be solved with materials. Singer knew this well.

Putting down the wine flask, he took out a cigar, lit it, took a hard puff, and then exhaled the smoke from his lungs.

In the sky, poisonous clouds were gathering, and a breeze swept past again. The moonlight began to become blurred, faintly seeming to fear something.

Singer certainly knew what the reason was, and couldn't help but spit.

"Damn it, they still chased after me."

Everything originated from the planet he had explored before.

Or rather, the core area of the Mutant civilization.

God testifies that before this mission, Singer would not have thought that the Mutants would be so powerful and so difficult to deal with. In just seven years, in the blank time after the Relic incident, this mysterious but terrifying new race had actually swallowed the entire Domain of Specters. All cosmic mercenaries and space pirates were crushed under their feet, without even a trace of information being transmitted.

To this day, the Domain of Specters is still operating in the name of space pirates, acting according to the rules of space pirates. But the managers inside have long been replaced by Mutants. As for the original space pirates, they have long become fertilizer for certain biological 'plants'.

Singer rushed into the Mutant's territory because he didn't know this. Although he finally broke out with his strong will and combat power, he was also injured by the strong among the Mutants.

They were two strange cosmic warriors, if they could be called cosmic warriors.

Their appearance still maintained the appearance of humans, but their souls and spirits had already mutated. One was good at the power of decay, and the other was good at proliferation. Judging from combat power alone, they were not much stronger than Singer, but what was terrifying was their ability. He didn't know why, but they could actually mobilize the original energy of life, thereby destroying the enemy.

Singer was inadvertently harmed, causing half of his body to rot, coupled with the proliferative power of decaying cells, which caused today's result.

Don't look at the fact that he has now reached the Meteor level, actually the Comet level of power, but he has ultimately failed to escape the limitations. When his body is completely rotten, his life will inevitably end.

"I always have to do something..." Singer silently looked at the bleak moonlight in the sky, struggling to get up.
