Colonial Suit
#92 - Li'er's Pain
Planet X35, Mount Hakoris... 230 meters underground.
This was a massive cavern. It was hard to believe such a vast space existed so deep underground without seeing it. Across the subterranean plain, spanning tens of square kilometers, lava flowed freely, making the air incredibly hot. The ground was made of black rock riddled with holes, from which pillars of fire occasionally erupted.
This was not a space suitable for life. Yet, here, a large city was under construction. Countless humanoid creatures toiled on the plain, shaping and piling rock upon rock, building houses. The streets had already been laid out, and large construction machines rumbled along them, creating a deafening noise.
Most of the city was still under construction, but one giant castle was already complete. This castle stood in the very center of the city, built entirely of black rock, exuding an aura of oppression.
Standing on the castle platform, the busy crowds below looked like ants, scurrying back and forth...
"How much longer until it's finished?" a cold female voice asked.
This was a woman completely shrouded in a hooded cloak. Despite the heavy covering, her striking curves were still visible. She stood at the very edge of the platform, coldly watching the busy crowds below. A mass of red hair spilled from the cloak... dancing wildly as if it were alive.
Behind her, several mutated humans knelt respectfully.
Hearing her voice, one of the mutants, covered in scales like a lizard, stepped forward and answered loudly, "Reporting to the Queen, the city will take another three months to complete."
"Why so slow?" the red-haired woman muttered to herself, her tone impatient.
Although she didn't blame anyone directly, everyone's expression changed. The lizard man braced himself and replied, "Queen, we are already working very hard, but construction machinery is severely lacking. These machines are very rare on planet X35. We have already lost over three hundred uncivilized citizens because of this."
"Uncivilized citizens are not citizens," the woman coldly interrupted the lizard man. "After all this time, can you still not distinguish yourselves from them? You are the awakened, intelligent, and thoughtful superiors. Only you deserve to be called people, while they... are merely livestock."
"..." The mutants below exchanged glances, then lowered their heads together. "Yes, my most glorious Queen."
"Speed up the progress. If there aren't enough construction machines, then steal them. Aren't those lords quite wealthy? It's time for them to make some contributions to my kingdom," the woman said coldly, without turning around, staring at the ant-like crowds below.
"This is my kingdom, and your home. You should know what that means. The age of mutants has arrived. If you cannot adapt to this era, then you should be eliminated..."
"Yes!"
A gust of wind blew from the side of the cave... lifting the woman's hood and revealing Lier's beautiful face. She casually raised a finger, and a strand of long hair immediately coiled around it like a snake, dancing playfully at her fingertip.
Looking at this strand of hair, a trace of confusion flashed in Lier's eyes. Immediately afterward, her expression changed drastically. Her whole body began to tremble violently...
"Queen!" The mutants behind her were shocked and hurried forward.
"Get out!! Don't touch me!!"
"Yes!" The mutants immediately lowered their heads and knelt on the ground again.
Lier trembled even more violently, seemingly enduring intense pain, even her face contorted. The hair behind her danced wildly, stretching in all directions...
"Careful!" The mutants hurriedly dodged, avoiding Lier's hair as if it were a venomous snake. However, one mutant was a step too slow and was accidentally entangled by the hair.
"Ah!!" he screamed miserably. The hair coiled around him like a snake, and one strand even burrowed into his skin, wriggling inside.
Amidst the screams, the mutant withered at a visible rate, as if he were being drained. The other mutants turned pale, but none dared to flee the platform. They could only hide in the corners as much as possible, their bodies shaking like sieves. One mutant said fearfully, "Queen... What's wrong with the Queen?"
"Who knows? She's been like this since she came back last time... Be careful... Don't get entangled by the Queen's hair, or you'll die."
"So terrifying."
Lier could no longer hear their voices. She felt as if her whole body was on fire, and her mind was gradually becoming muddled. In a daze, only one name lingered in her mind... a name that constantly circled, refusing to dissipate...
"Blood瞳..."
"Who is Blood瞳?"
"I don't know, maybe a mutant? But which mutant could receive such attention from the Queen?"
"Why don't we help the Queen find him? Seeing how much the Queen cares about this Blood瞳, he must be very important. Maybe... he will even become our King."
"Shut up! Is the Queen's business something you can discuss?" Just as the mutants were talking with trepidation, a voice suddenly rang out. With this voice, a burly man, as strong as a bear, walked onto the platform.
He was at least two meters tall, wearing a suit of alloy armor, which creaked as he walked. The weight was astonishing, leaving a slight mark on the stone ground with almost every step. A bright red cloak unfurled behind him, flowing with the color of blood. The man wore a closed horned helmet, completely obscuring his face, but the eye sockets glowed with an eerie red light.
"Lord Sarek!" The mutants hurriedly knelt and called out respectfully.
Sarek was the first subordinate awakened by the Bloody Queen, and his strength was said to have reached the level of a trainee mercenary. He held a very high position in the kingdom. Rebuked by him, the mutants were immediately silenced, not daring to say another word.
Sarek didn't even look at them, walking past them directly. Then he knelt on one knee behind Lier.
"My Queen, what you ordered me to do has been completed. The forces within five hundred kilometers have been purged, and the resources have all been collected."
"Heh... heh... hehe..."
"My Queen!?" Sarek raised his head and immediately saw Lier's face twisted in pain. He couldn't help but pause slightly, then stood up abruptly, reaching out to pull Lier into his arms...
"Clang!" A bone spur suddenly appeared in front of his visor, stopping Sarek's next move.
Lier lowered her head, her hair moving without wind. Her voice was as cold as ice. "Get out... Don't... touch me."

"My Queen!" Sarek's voice was slightly agitated, but he really didn't dare to move even a little. The bone spur hovered in front of his visor, shimmering with metallic luster. He knew very well that if he made any rash moves, this bone spur would definitely pierce him in the next moment.
After a moment of stagnation, Sarek suddenly stomped his foot in resentment, leaving a clear footprint on the ground. He turned and shouted at the mutants.
"What are you waiting for here? Quickly prepare the growth pool! Do you want the Queen to continue suffering?"
"Ah... Yes!" Upon hearing the words "growth pool", the mutants' expressions changed drastically, but they still ran out quickly.
After a while, one person ran back to report. "Lord Sarek, the growth pool is ready, but the energy aspect..."
"You don't need to worry about that. I brought back all the corpses from this mission. We have enough flesh and blood energy..." Sarek impatiently interrupted the mutant, then knelt on one knee again and said to Lier.
"My Queen, since you don't want me to help you, then please enter the growth pool yourself. I think... the energy of flesh and blood may make you feel better."
"Heh... heh..." Lier gasped heavily, beads of sweat appearing on her forehead. But she still moved her feet little by little, walking towards the interior of the castle.
Watching her figure being swallowed by the castle gate, Sarek's eyes suddenly burst out with a ferocious red light. He grabbed a kneeling mutant next to him.
"Speak... Why did the Queen relapse again? Hasn't it only been a few days since the last time?"
"Lord... I don't know..." The mutant trembled with fear, his voice shaking. Throughout the kingdom, Sarek's loyalty to the Queen was unparalleled, but his brutality was equally terrifying. He was the first strongman to accept the Queen's awakening, and he also accepted the Queen's ideology. In his eyes, ordinary mutants were not even livestock. If he caught them, they could be torn apart in an instant.
Perhaps it was a flash of inspiration, or perhaps it was a desperate attempt. The mutant suddenly shouted.
"That's right... Maybe it's because of that name. Recently, the Queen has been calling that name more and more..."
"That name? Are you saying... Blood瞳!?" Sarek growled lowly in his throat. The red light in his eyes intensified.
He knew that name. Since the Queen came back last time, that name had been constantly appearing in the Queen's mouth. But Sarek never imagined that this name would cause the Queen such intense pain.
"Blood瞳..." Under the closed helmet, came Sarek's gnashing teeth.
He violently threw the mutant on the ground, turned and walked towards the outside of the castle. The scarlet cloak fluttered, stirring up a bloody aura.
"Lord... Lord... Where are you going?" The mutant followed Sarek, crawling and shouting loudly.
"I'm going to find that guy!" Sarek roared angrily. "Don't follow me. I will never forgive anyone who harms my Queen... I will find him, and then bring his head to my Queen!"
"But Lord... Where are you going to find him?"
"Go to Vika City! The place where the Queen last fought!! If... she was injured there, then I will definitely be able to find a clue!!"
Saying that, Sarek's figure disappeared into the castle gate...
