Cynthia’s Cat

Chapter 74: Silence!

A few days later, Cynthia stood outside Knoll's ward with flowers, and she looked worriedly at Knoll who was sitting on the bed in a daze.

"Dawson, how is Knoll's situation now, still not speaking?"

Yesterday Knoll's mother talked to her on the phone, and she said Knoll was sick and can't talk anymore.

The lady was weak in character and could not be frightened. Uncle Eric concealed the kidnapping of Noel from her. The lady knew that she and Noel were good friends, so I asked her to visit Noel, hoping that Noel's condition would get better.

Dawson nodded respectfully to Cynthia, "Miss Samuel! Miss Noel has never spoken since she was rescued and sent to the hospital. Madam Noel visited Miss Noel in the morning, and the doctor said. Miss Knoll will temporarily lose her voice when she is too frightened."

Cynthia pursed her lips. She knew the reason. The scene of Professor Katie's suicide stimulated Noel, and she couldn't get out of the horrible shadow.

Cynthia opened the door and walked to Noel. She passed the bouquet in her hand to Noel.

"Noel! I brought you your favorite flower. Does it look good?"

Noel's pale face smiled at the moment he saw Cynthia. She happily took the bouquet and put it on the bedside. Knoll was sorry for Cynthia and pointed at her throat. She couldn't speak now, and Knoll's mood became depressed.

The lively character Knoll became much quieter after the kidnapping, and Cynthia looked at the haggard Knoll with distress.

"Noel, everything will be fine!"

She nodded happily, and took out paper and pen to write on it, "Hmm! Cynthia is really happy that you came to see me today, I'm fine! Don't worry about me."

Noel drew a big smile on the paper and handed the paper to Cynthia.

"The classmates in the class miss you very much, and they asked me when you can go back to class. They asked me how your health is recovering. They all wanted to come to see you, but I turned down on the grounds that you need to rest. ."

Noel wrote on the paper, "Thank you! I will be back to class soon."

Cynthia handed the invitation to Knoll. Next week is Knoll's long-awaited Christmas ball. Knoll evades the crowd because he can't speak. Looking at Knoll's thinning body, she can't let her down like this.

"Next week is Christmas. Can I have the honour to be your dancing partner inviting you to the Christmas ball? My Royal Highness!"

Noel was shocked. She can't talk now. Will it cause her trouble with Cynthia? Noel clenched his fingers, but! Looking at Cynthia's expectant look, she couldn't refuse it.

Noel looked at Cynthia with a smile, and wrote on the paper, "Okay, I will go to the prom."

Cynthia spent the afternoon with Noel in the ward. The street lamp outside the window was already lit. As night fell, Cynthia said goodbye to Noel.

"Noll, take a good rest! I'm back to college first."

"Okay, Cynthia! I'll be discharged from the hospital in a few days. Don't worry about me too much."

Cynthia nodded, "Hmm!"

Noel was reluctant to look at the back of Cynthia leaving. If Cynthia was a boy, she would definitely fall in love with her.

Leaving the room, Cynthia saw Dawson standing at the door, "I'm leaving, take good care of Noel."

Dawson said respectfully: "Okay, Miss Samuel!"

Dawson looked at the back of Cynthia leaving. After Miss Samuel came to visit Miss Knoll, Miss Knoll's mood was much more cheerful. A few days ago, Miss Noel had been in a daze, with very few expressions on her face. Miss Noel's loss of voice was affected by her emotions. Now everything is going for the better.
