Days to grind friendship at Hogwarts
Chapter 100: Three Years
"Wait, what did you say you wanted to do?"
Glenn didn't react for a moment. He was stunned for a moment and then asked hurriedly.
Morgana quietly looked at his reaction, raised the corners of her lips, and revealed a slight smile.
"I said, I plan to leave Hogwarts."
"Why?" Glenn asked with confusion on his face.
Morgana turned around and pointed at the astronomical tower, looking directly at him with slight disgust.
"I want to stay away from this place that makes me sad. Isn't it unreasonable?"
"Reasonable..." Glenn replied subconsciously, "But if you don't stay at Hogwarts, where else can you go?"
He thought for a while and continued to ask: "Durmstrang? Or Beauxbatons?"
Morgana tilted her head, thought for a moment, and shook her head slightly.
"I haven't thought about it yet. I'll ask Professor Dumbledore tomorrow." She glanced at Glenn and said, "Maybe Beauxbatons, I heard it's beautiful there... What Patricia said
..."
Her eyes flickered slightly, as if she remembered something that made her sad again.
"That's fine..."
Glenn said softly.
The crisis they have experienced together this year has made him care a little more about this girl in his heart.
Compared to Hogwarts in the next few years, Beauxbatons is obviously much safer.
There was no looming Voldemort, nor an elusive murderous basilisk. Even during the darkest years of the British wizarding world, the Dark Lord's minions had not touched there yet.
The girl just looked at him lightly and said nothing.
The two fell into silence and unknowingly walked to the portrait of the Fat Lady.
I have to say that perhaps it was her childhood experience that made Morgana grow strong enough.
In just a short period of time, she had put away her previous lost look, but her eyes were still slightly less bright.
"Are you feeling better?" Glenn glanced at her and asked.
The girl nodded slightly: "Well, much better. Thank you for sending me back."
She seemed to have no more thoughts about talking, turned around and gave the fat lady the password to get into the common room behind the portrait.
Glenn watched her back disappear into the doorway and the portrait slowly closed. He couldn't help but sigh and went back to his dormitory.
...
A good night's sleep.
The secret of the private library and the turmoil of the resurrection ceremony finally came to an end, and Glenn slept until about three o'clock in the morning before waking up quietly.
Although the matter of Morgana was still stuck in my throat, I had been mentally nervous for so long and finally had some time to breathe.
He looked at the sun that was almost at its highest point, got out of bed, washed himself and went straight to the principal's office.
Breakfast in the auditorium had ended long ago. Fortunately, Dumbledore had curbed his bizarre hobby of disgusting candies and just ate some desserts to keep him full.
Of course, it would be great if I could have another lunch from the principal.
The automatic pathfinding function is as easy to use as ever, and Glenn has completely put aside all the inconveniences caused by road warriors and successfully reached the eighth floor.
When the gargoyle saw the boy approaching from a distance, he lost his gray-grey color early on and resumed his actions.
Glenn came closer, nodded politely, and spoke the password.
The stone beast smiled and waved, exuding kindness, but the smile was a little ferocious.
Glenn bowed his thanks as usual and stepped onto the golden spiral staircase in the entrance behind him.
"Don't be so polite, kid."
The stone beast said angrily, his voice sonorous, with a sound like the collision of gold and stone.
Glenn turned around and grinned.
When Glenn walked to the door, the door opened from the inside.
Morgana raised her head and glanced at him, but didn't say anything. She just passed him by quietly and left the office on her own.
"Come in and sit down, Glenn."
Dumbledore's gentle voice came from the office.
Glenn glanced at Morgana's back and then walked into the room.
"How was your rest?"
The principal had a gentle smile on his face, and it was impossible to guess the content of his chat with the girl just now.
"fine."
In front of Dumbledore, Glenn had long since lost his initial shyness and reserve. He sat down on an armchair and glanced around, trying to find Dumbledore's candy dish.
Dumbledore gave him a confused look and asked, "What are you looking for?"
"Food." Glenn saw the silver plate on the table and the cranberry cookies inside.
He picked up a piece without politeness and sniffed it at the tip of his nose.
"Is there tea, Professor?"
Dumbledore looked at him with joy, waved his hand gently, and poured him a cup of clear Ceylon black tea.
Glenn held it in his hand happily, blew on the hot air and took a sip.
The warm black tea entered his stomach, and he took a big bite of half of the cookie.
The crispy cookies melt in your mouth without chewing at all. The rich sweetness of butter and the freshness of dried cranberries bloom in your mouth, bringing a burst of enjoyment to your taste buds.
"It's delicious!" Glenn nodded repeatedly, stuffed the remaining half piece into his mouth, and asked vaguely: "What did you and Morgana talk about just now?"
He didn't suddenly become rude, but after getting along with him for nearly a year, he gradually got to know the principal's temperament.
The more relaxed you get along with him and don't stick to trivial matters, the easier it will be to please the old man.
This was especially evident during the last lunch we had together.
Dumbledore never got married, but his only soul mate was imprisoned in Newmund Garland by his own hands.
Now that he has reached the age where he should enjoy family happiness, it is inevitable that he will like children with such a temperament towards him.
As expected, Dumbledore was overjoyed, looked at him with a smile, and deliberately used the hovering spell to make the silver tea tray float in the most convenient position next to Glenn.
"Miss Arthur still had a hard time accepting it, so she applied to transfer to another school. She wanted to change the environment and relax."
Sure enough, I still have to leave...
Glenn was slightly touched and had an indescribable feeling.
"So you agreed?" He took another sip of tea and asked casually.
Dumbledore's eyes stayed on his face for a moment longer, and he replied: "I don't fully agree."
"Ah?" Glenn didn't understand and was slightly stunned.
"Miss Arthur is a student selected by Hogwarts, and her name has already been recorded in the admission book." Dumbledore explained with a smile, "It is not unprecedented to transfer to another school, but I suggest that she does not
Don't do this."
"So..." Glenn seemed to understand something.
"Borrow and read."
Dumbledore nodded and said with a smile.
"I just wrote a letter to Madame Maxime of Beauxbatons, asking her to take in a student from Hogwarts for a few years."
"several years?"
Glenn couldn't help but ask.
Dumbledore looked at him meaningfully again and said.
"If nothing else happens, three years."
