Days to grind friendship at Hogwarts

Chapter 52 Thank you for the snacks

A small yellow cursor flashed alone on the top of the astronomical tower.

Glenn sighed and selected automatic pathfinding.

"There are thousands of roads..."

...

Glenn pushed open the wooden door on the top of the tower and shivered as the cold wind hit his face.

In a small leeward corner where the snow had been cleared, a quiet girl sat.

She was wrapped in a thick cloak, but it could not hide her thin figure, making her look a bit desolate.

"Why are you sitting here alone and not even coming to the Christmas party?" Glenn asked softly, sitting next to the girl.

Morgana, who was in a daze and didn't notice anyone approaching, turned her head when she heard the sound. What she saw was a familiar profile face, slightly dazed.

"How do you know I'm here?" She didn't answer, but turned her head back and looked at the vast ice-covered lake in the distance.

Glenn smiled softly and replied: "I guess, do you believe it?"

Another gust of biting cold wind blew by, and he couldn't help but tighten the scarf around his neck.

"You don't believe it, unless you..." The girl looked sideways at him, her eyes fell on the crooked wand pattern on the scarf, and she froze slightly.

Glenn didn't wait for the second half of her sentence and couldn't help but ask: "What else can you do except me?"

"Nothing." Morgana shook her head and her voice became a little lower.

There was a moment of silence.

Glenn cleared his throat awkwardly and looked for a topic casually.

"Have you received the gift I gave you?"

"Have you ever seen an owl that dropped a Christmas gift?" Morgana raised her head and looked at him as if she were looking at a fool.

Glenn thought seriously for a while and shook his head: "I don't think I've heard of it..."

Morgana sighed softly, tilted her head, and pointed at a silver hairpin pinned to her blond hair, which was in the shape of a crown made of various gemstones.

"It's so beautiful..." Glenn said with a smile, "Don't get me wrong, I mean the card I gave you."

"you..."

Morgana, who was originally looking a little shy, was stunned and felt bitter again.

"Are you still going to say that I must keep it well? This thing is very expensive?"

"I do want to ask you to take good care of it, but that's because..." Glenn shook his head and said seriously, "I don't think I can find such a decoration that suits you anymore."

Morgana said nothing, but turned her gaze to the mountains in the distance, with a slight smile on her lips.

"You haven't said it yet, why don't you go to the banquet?" Glenn asked, "Don't say you forgot. I won't believe that kind of nonsense."

"What if I say it's because you didn't say hello to me that I'm unhappy?" The girl showed a playful smile, "Do you believe it or not?"

You're such a good girl, you've only been back to normal for a few days, why did you suddenly start having tea again?

"I believe you!" Glenn rolled his eyes.

"Okay... you are smart..." Morgana praised, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes.

Glenn looked at her and his voice became softer: "Is it because of Patricia?"

"Hmm..." Morgana replied softly, looking blankly at a window on the third floor, which was the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office.

"This is the first time I haven't spent Christmas with her since I met her..."

Glenn could hear the disappointment in her voice and didn't know how to comfort her.

Morgana continued to speak, her voice not loud, as if she was talking to Glenn or to herself.

"Not long after last Christmas, we set off to the ruins. Since then, she has never been the same Patricia again..."

Glenn could not empathize with this kind of sadness, so he could only accompany her silently, watching the clouds roll and relax in the sky.

For Morgana, she did not actually lose her only relative in the true sense.

But from another perspective, being strangers is more sad than losing.

I don’t know how long it took, but a hint of twilight gradually appeared on the horizon.

Glenn suddenly stood up and pulled back his cloak.

Various snacks, candies and firecrackers taken from the banquet fell on the girl's lap.

"You only had breakfast. You must be hungry now, right?" He pointed to the snacks piled on the girl's lap. "As your friend, I feel it is necessary to ensure that you don't starve to death."

Friends?

Morgana gritted her teeth gently, picked up a firecracker, pointed it at Glenn, and pulled it away hard.

"Bang!"

"Ahem!"

Glenn, whose face was covered by a burst of pink smoke, coughed repeatedly, waved his hands vigorously in front of his eyes, stepped back, and stepped into a snow pit.

Looking at his embarrassed look, Morgana seemed to be in a much better mood. She stood up holding the snacks and placed the top hat that had just exploded on the head of the confused Glenn.

"Thank you for the snacks!" She left a crisp laugh and went back to the castle.

When Glenn recovered and went to look for her again, she was nowhere to be seen.

This woman... has such a weird temper.

He couldn't help complaining and took off the hat on his head.

The system light screen popped up, and Glenn opened the map again, preparing to find his way back to the common room.

Just at this time, two cursors appeared on a road outlined with a dotted line outside the castle, moving rapidly towards the school.

The name on the cursor reads - "Fred Weasley", "George Weasley"

Did you sneak away to Hogsmeade?

Glenn, who had just been tricked, had a bad taste in his heart.

He checked carefully along the secret passage marked with dotted lines, and finally found the entrance on the fifth floor. He immediately calculated the time and walked over leisurely, planning to meet around the corner.

He originally wanted to turn into the image of Professor Snape or the administrator Mr. Filch, but then he thought about it and realized that this was a big deal.

The twins hold the genuine Marauder's Map in their hands. As long as they take a look before walking out of the secret passage, not only will their prank fail, but their ability to disguise themselves as Magus will also be revealed.

Glenn stared at the map carefully, but found that the speed of the two of them was getting faster and faster, so he had to step up.

When he reached the fifth floor and was approaching the mirror where the entrance to the secret passage was, he suddenly heard a faint rumbling sound.

Something's wrong...

He slowed down and listened.

On the map, the cursors representing Fred and George were getting closer and closer, and the sound of rocks hitting their ears became more and more obvious.

Glenn suddenly realized and roughly guessed what happened.

A moment later, the twins had arrived at the exit of the secret passage. They rushed out from behind the mirror without stopping to check the door.

The secret door slowly closed behind them, and the dull roar gradually dissipated.

The two of them, holding large and small bundles in their hands, let out a long sigh of relief and patted the dust off each other's bodies.

Suddenly, a sound "as elegant and deep as a cello" sounded, and the two brothers' hair stood on end.

"Hello, Mr. Weasleys..."
