Days to grind friendship at Hogwarts

Chapter 63 Midnight Encounter

Glenn still didn't know about the conversation that took place in the principal's office after he left.

He was rushing back to Ravenclaw Tower, planning to study Dumbledore's notes in his arms.

Roger, who was bored during the break, saw him coming back and was about to say hello, but was ignored gorgeously.

Glenn hurriedly climbed the stairs without stopping and went back to his dormitory.

Roger looked at the hem of the robe that disappeared around the corner of the stairs with a puzzled expression and scratched his head.

When Glenn returned to his dormitory, he quickly opened his notebook and studied it intently.

This look lasts all day.

The sun reached its highest point and then slowly drifted downward.

Gusts of cold wind swept through the ice and snow, and calm gradually returned.

When Glenn finally reluctantly looked away from the book, it was already dark outside the window.

The stars twinkled, and the moon behind the clouds slightly revealed its side face, blooming with bright brilliance.

"Gulu..."

A faint sound came, and Glenn was startled. Then he realized that he hadn't eaten anything since breakfast.

He glanced sideways out of the window, saw a bright moon already hanging high in the sky, and sighed.

At this time, I'm afraid the dinner time in the auditorium has already ended.

He carefully put away his notebook, touched the phoenix feather still in his shirt pocket, and opened the system map.

There was no one in the Ravenclaw common room, and everyone had returned to their dormitories to rest at this time.

He found the kitchen on the basement floor. There were many cursors with names in them, walking back and forth. They should be house elves who were still working.

Set a goal and start navigating.

Following the question prompt "There are thousands of roads, safety first", Glenn tiptoed down the stairs, passed through the common room, and came into the dark castle corridor.

He didn't even light his wand, but relied on the map's guidance to check a few names that needed attention from time to time.

Patricia Rick's red cursor was fixed on her own office, where Filch and his harmless kitten Mrs. Norris were patrolling the third and fourth floors respectively.

All safe.

At this time, another name suddenly attracted his attention.

Morgana Arthur.

The cursor with this name was coming out of the Gryffindor lounge and moving towards the stairs.

Glenn felt nervous.

This silly girl isn't planning to attack Patricia at night, is she?

He ducked into a corner and planned to follow Morgana quietly to see what she wanted to do.

Not long after, there was a faint light coming from the front, which was the light from the tip of Morgana's staff.

Glenn shrank back again, hiding in the shadows, waiting for her to walk over.

Due to his deliberate avoidance, Morgana didn't notice and walked down the stairs on her own.

Glenn didn't dare to follow too closely, but relied on the display on the map to stay far behind.

Morgana went all the way down and soon came to the stairs on the third floor.

Patricia's office and bedroom are on this floor.

Glenn was slightly nervous and deliberately quickened his pace. Once Morgana showed signs of turning towards the third floor, he would quickly rush over to stop her.

But to his surprise, the girl passed the stairs without stopping at all and continued walking down.

Glenn was stunned for a moment, unable to guess her intentions, so he had to continue to follow her.

It wasn't until he watched Morgana walk all the way to the underground floor that he seemed to have guessed something.

Could this girl be looking for a late night canteen like him?

He guessed correctly.

Morgana stood in front of the huge fruit portrait, reaching out to scratch the pear.

"Hello!"

Glenn walked closer and suddenly shouted. The volume was not loud, but it seemed particularly abrupt in the silent corridor.

Morgana was startled, her body trembled violently, and the wand in her hand fell to the ground with a clatter.

Glenn laughed secretly in his heart.

Even though she has experienced many ups and downs in human relationships and appears to be much more mature than her peers, she still looks like a little girl who was caught stealing.

He took two steps forward and picked up the still shining wand from the feet of the frozen girl.

"You ran too fast, and I didn't dare to shout loudly. It took me a long time to catch up." He said with a smile and handed over the wand in his hand. "Here, remember to hold the wand more firmly next time."

Morgana subconsciously took the wand, and her face turned extremely red under the dim light from the tip of the wand.

This is probably the first time she has experienced such a social death scene.

"Are you okay?" Seeing that she didn't speak, Glenn couldn't help but ask.

The girl felt ashamed and angry, waved her pink fist, and punched his shoulder twice to vent her anger.

How much damage can a girl who deliberately controls her strength do?

Glenn smiled and allowed her to hit him a few times, sighing in his heart.

This is what a girl of this age should look like.

Whether it was the girl in the red dress who exuded a coquettish aura in the magic wand shop, or the girl in the astronomy tower who was as sad as a lilac flower, they were far from being as real and relatable as they are now.

"You came to the kitchen to steal something late at night. Didn't you eat at night?"

"It's up to you to take care of it!" the little girl said angrily. She stood on her tiptoes and stretched out her hand to scratch the pear in the painting.

The pear laughed like a scratched person for a while, then turned into a green doorknob with a "pop" sound.

Morgana pulled the portrait open forcefully and walked into the kitchen on her own.

Glenn looked at the girl's angry look, smiled to himself, and followed her.

This is a huge room that is the same size as the auditorium upstairs. Although the ceiling is not cast with starry sky magic, it is much higher than an ordinary classroom.

There are four long tables arranged in the center of the room. The size, material and placement are the same as those in the auditorium.

All kinds of gleaming pots and pans were piled around the edges of the walls.

At the end of the kitchen, directly below the staff bench, is a huge stone fireplace and a huge sink.

Since it was close to midnight, most of the house elves had gone to rest, leaving only a few standing on the edge of the sink, waving their slender fingers.

The pots and bowls in the pool collided, making a sweet "ding-dong-dang" sound.

Glenn and Morgana walked across the long table.

A young elf noticed the two of them and ran towards them quickly. He was slightly fatter than the other elves and had a bit of baldness.

He was originally standing behind the other elves, seeming to be commanding and supervising. He seemed to be a leader among them.

A tea towel with the Hogwarts crest printed on it was wrapped around him like a robe, and he wore a pair of half-length overalls. Although they were a little old, they were still clean and tidy.
