Demon Cultivator: Heaven and earth are the cauldron, and all living beings are the medicine
#2 - Chapter 2: The Ancient Cauldron Shows Its Power
Snowflakes danced in the night sky.
In a dilapidated courtyard, a gaunt teenager wrestled with a blood-soaked middle-aged man, kicking up snow.
"You little bastard! Getting bold, are you? Still dare to fight back? Since you can't be sold for money anymore, I'll send you down to reunite with your parents today!"
Ning Dahan's eyes were bloodshot as he roared, frantically swinging his fist, the size of a sandbag, landing blow after merciless blow on the teenager's face, turning it into a bloody mess.
Although Ning Dahan was covered in injuries, he was, after all, in his prime, strong and robust. His physique alone made him a head taller and much sturdier than the underdeveloped Ning Lu. His strength was far beyond what the latter could match.
Fueled by adrenaline, Ning Lu weakly threw two punches forward. His skin-and-bones fists landed on the middle-aged man's body as if striking an iron wall, barely tickling Ning Dahan.
"Bang, bang, bang!"
Ning Dahan disregarded everything, his fists raining down on Ning Lu's body. Even though his own fists were already bloody, his movements didn't slow down.
"You damned bastard! You made me suffer so much! I won't be able to quell the hatred in my heart if I don't beat you to death today!"
The middle-aged man's eyes were scarlet as he hysterically roared, as if the person before him wasn't his own nephew but a mortal enemy with whom he had a blood feud.
Ning Lu heavily collapsed to the ground, a sharp pain sweeping through his body. He no longer had any strength, not even enough to speak.
A quarter of an hour later, Ning Dahan kicked the teenager on the ground hard into the corner of the wall. Looking at his bloody hands, the pain surged into his heart, and he gradually regained his senses.
The middle-aged man exhaled a long breath, glared fiercely at the dying teenager in the corner, turned around, and walked into the house without looking back, slamming the wooden door shut, leaving the teenager to fend for himself in the wind and snow.
Ning Lu had been starving for three days and nights. Now, he was beaten half to death. The weather outside was extremely harsh, and the temperature was abnormally cold. Heavy goose-feather snow fell from the night sky. At this moment, the teenager had no chance of survival.
The teenager looked dazed, one eye beaten to the point of necrosis, and the other was also a bloody mess, barely able to open a slit. The teenager was wearing a thin blue shirt, tattered and torn, the blue fabric already dyed blood red.
His whole body was covered in blood, and drops of scalding blood dripped down his body, staining the layers of snow on the ground with streaks of scarlet.
"Thump."
At that moment, a bowl-sized, crimson-red cauldron fell from the teenager's clothes, landing directly on the blood-stained snow.
Hearing the sound, the teenager glanced at the cauldron, his heart filled with bitter memories.
Ning Lu was originally an orphan, just as he was before transmigrating to this world. He grew up in an orphanage, which shaped his cold and twisted personality, but at least he managed to barely maintain a subsistence with the help of school subsidies.
But at the age of twelve, he inexplicably transmigrated to this world, becoming a teenager with the same name. The teenager's life was equally miserable. His parents died when he was young, and he had been living with his uncle, Ning Dahan, depending on him for survival.
In this world, martial strength was paramount. Cultivators were high above, and even living was a luxury for mortals. For the past three years, Ning Lu had been subjected to inhuman torture by his uncle day and night, as if living in hell, which shaped the teenager's extremely twisted personality today.
And the cauldron in front of him appeared out of nowhere when the teenager transmigrated.
Originally, he thought this cauldron was a good magic weapon, but it hadn't helped the teenager in the slightest for three years. To this day, it hadn't shown any effective value.
The teenager came back to his senses, took one last look at the cauldron on the ground, and smiled miserably, "Am I going to die?"
The next moment, the teenager closed his eyes, fell into the pool of blood, and quietly waited for the arrival of the Grim Reaper.
Just when the teenager was in despair, the Grim Reaper in his heart did not arrive. Instead, the crimson-red cauldron burst out with rays of light, and the teenager's dying body disappeared from the spot, absorbed into the cauldron.
When the teenager opened his eyes again, he saw the scene before him change. Looking up, the sky was no longer filled with goose-feather snow but tens of thousands of bright stars.
Looking down, under his feet was no longer snow stained with blood but a vast, boundless Milky Way as bright as the sun and moon. The teenager stood directly on it, as if in a fairyland, looking at the scene before him in disbelief.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh."
A gentle breeze brushed across the teenager's cheeks. He suddenly raised his head and saw countless faint blue gases emerging in the air, rushing towards his body like a tide.
Ning Lu only felt comfortable all over, as if he was taking a bath. The pain in his body disappeared instantly, and those terrifying wounds were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"These? Could they be spiritual energy?!"
The teenager exclaimed inwardly, his face filled with shock, mixed with the joy of surviving a catastrophe.
"Thump, thump, thump."
Another burst of strange sounds entered the teenager's ears. He looked ahead and fixed his eyes, only to see a huge crimson-red cauldron appearing in front of him, which was the original cauldron on the teenager's body. The words "Primordial Ancient Cauldron" were engraved around the cauldron.
"Primordial Ancient Cauldron?! Is that the original name of this cauldron?! It seems that all these scenes are inside the cauldron."
Ning Lu's eyes were fixed on the crimson-red cauldron in front of him, and he was absolutely certain that the thing in front of him was definitely a rare and superior magic weapon.
The next moment, the faint blue spiritual energy between heaven and earth frantically poured into the cauldron, causing the latter to burst out with a dazzling light in an instant, impossible to look at directly.
The light was so dazzling that the teenager had to cover his eyes with his hands.
When the light dissipated, the teenager slowly lowered his hands, only to see streams of blood-colored gas emerge from the cauldron, pouring directly into the teenager's body.
The next moment, a piercing pain swept through the teenager's body, causing his veins to bulge all over and beads of sweat the size of beans to appear on his forehead.
Ning Lu closed his eyes, gritted his teeth, and carefully felt the changes in his body. He saw streams of blood-colored gas flowing through his body, as if constantly washing the teenager's meridians and bones.
After a while, he suddenly opened his eyes, only to feel that his mental strength and vitality had become extremely vigorous, and his whole body was full of strength. He also had a more profound understanding of the surrounding faint blue spiritual energy.
"I am? Stepping into the Body Refining Realm?!"
