535: Looking for Shushan

On the occasion of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Guo Yi's space base had arrived over the Bashu region and was cruising aimlessly.

In the space base, dozens of expert teams are investigating the situation in Bashu from all aspects...

Air, gravity, topographic mapping, etc. are surveyed in all directions without blind spots.

However, several days have passed and the reconstruction work of Luoyang City has begun, but Guo Yi still has not received the abnormality report.

There is no abnormality report, which means that Shushan is still not found...

Damn it, this is outrageous!

As for asking from the mouths of the original people of Bashu...

Emei Mountain and Qingcheng Mountain, around these two mountains, no indigenous people can be found!

The starting point of the Wuhu Rebellion was marked in the tenth month of the lunar calendar in 304, when Li Xiong, the leader of the Di tribe, occupied Chengdu and called himself the "King of Chengdu", which was known as the beginning of the Han Dynasty in history.

But now it is the year 323. The Bashu region has been in the hands of the barbarians for nineteen years. How can there still be indigenous people?

As for Mount Wutai...

Guo Yi also sent people there, but found nothing!

Guo Yi knew that the garbage system was very unreliable...

before, or appear at the mission location or in front of the mission goal.

Or, it's a universe away from the mission location.

This time it was even more outrageous. I couldn't even find the mission location, let alone the mission target.

What a scam!

"Er Zhuang, haven't you heard from those expert groups yet?"

Guo Yi lay on the table with a look of despair, and asked Er Zhuang dullly: "Where are Gu Yi and Lao Tianshi?"

Now that the army has arrived, Gu Yi and Lao Tianshi can completely relax and find the mission location.

Therefore, the two of them are now turning Bashu upside down while looking for the mission location.

As for why Guo Yi is staying here...

The system is on him, maybe he can find it?

"(* ̄rǒ ̄)There is no news."

"Ahhhhhhh~"

Guo Yi rubbed his hair frantically and looked at the satellite picture with a speechless expression.

No matter which version of Shushan Legend, Mount Emei is the protagonist...

There are different opinions on the origin of Mount Emei’s name.

As early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Mount Emei was famous all over the world.

The name of Mount Emei was first seen in the Western Zhou Dynasty. According to the "Huayang Guozhi Shu Zhi" written by Chang Can of the Jin Dynasty: "Du Yu used Baoxie (now Hanzhong, Shaanxi) as the front door, and Xiong'er (now Qing'an, Sichuan).

Shenxian County), Lingguan (now northwest of Lushan County, Ya'an, Sichuan) is the rear household, Yulei (now Dujiangyan City, Sichuan), and Emei (now Emeishan City, Sichuan) are the city outline."

Jin Zuosi's "Ode to the Capital of Shu" wrote: "Draw the two currents of the two rivers to resist the heavy obstruction of Emei."

"Ten Dao Zhi" of the Tang Dynasty: "The famous mountains in Jiannan Road are called Emei and Lu Shenyun. The mountains are thousands of miles in circumference and eighty miles high."

But why is it called "Emei"?

There are different opinions.

One says that Mount Emei got its name because of its "high mountains and beautiful waters"; another says that it got its name because of "the two mountains confronting each other."

There is another saying that Mount Emei stands on the edge of the Dadu River. The Dadu River was called "Waishui" in ancient times. The mountain got its name because of its love for water, so it was called "Waimei Mountain".

Only because it is a mountain, Mount Emei is separated from the water and changed from "Mei" to "Emei".

This view is based on the theory of the modern scholar Zhao Xi, "It is the eyebrow of the mountain that drains the water. The eyebrow is Meiye, and it is named after the water."

In any case, Mount Emei has a history of more than 2,000 years since the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and is known as "Emei's most beautiful place in the world".

At the same time, Mount Emei is also one of the "Four Famous Buddhist Mountains" in China and is the dojo of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.

However, Emeishan in The Legend of Shushan clearly uses methods other than Buddhism, and none of the practitioners in it have bald heads.

Now, not only are there no practitioners like those in Shushan, but there is only one shabby Buddhist temple, which makes Guo Yi very miserable.

"╰(*°▽°*)╯Guo Yi, there is Laowei communication!"

When Guo Yi was silent, Er Zhuang suddenly said: "I said I found a clue and asked you to go back!"

"real!?"

When Guo Yi heard this, he immediately became energetic. He quickly opened the teleportation gate, rushed through the crossing gate, and then teleported to Lao Wei: "Lao Wei, have you found Shushan?"

"..."

Lao Wei looked at Guo Yi who suddenly appeared in front of him, and was so frightened that he almost smacked him with a golden palm subconsciously.

After he came to his senses, he looked at Guo Yi with a twitching look on his face and said quietly: "Next time you teleport in front of me, do you believe that I will lie down and show you right away?"

"Uh~"

Guo Yi looked at Lao Wei, whose face turned black as coal, rubbed his hands and said with a flattering smile: "Look, I'm not impatient."

"Okay, sit down."

Lao Wei shook his head helplessly, then motioned for Guo Yi to sit down, pointed at the documents in front of him and Guo Yi said: "This is some information collected, I think it should be helpful to you, you take a look first."

"material!?"

Guo Yi was stunned for a moment, then opened the information and started reading.

The information is very simple. The first one is the history of Mount Emei: According to the Records of Mount Emei, the earliest Buddhist temple in Mount Emei was actually the Heishui Temple built by Seng Zhao during the Wei and Jin Dynasties.

In the third year of Long'an of Jin Dynasty (399), monk Huizhi entered Shu from Lushan Mountain and built Puxian Temple here to worship Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.

According to legend, Mount Emei became the dojo of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.

The second piece is information related to Buddhism: Buddhism was born in Nepal in the sixth century BC and was introduced to the late Western Han Dynasty four hundred years later.

However, at that time, Buddhism did not have much influence in the face of Taoism and Confucianism in governing the world...

In other words, it has no influence at all!

The Eastern Han, Cao Wei, Shu Han, Eastern Wu and Western Jin regimes all explicitly prohibited Han people from becoming monks!

"Biography of Eminent Monks·Buddha Tu Cheng Biography" records that "I went to the Han Ming Dynasty to experience dreams and first preached his teachings. I only heard that people in the Western Regions could build temples and cities to worship their gods, and none of the Han people could leave home."

The reason is also very simple: Buddhism allows men to be monks without marrying and having children, and it allows women to be nuns and cannot get married and have children. This seriously affects agriculture, economy, military resources, etc. Only those in power are stupid to promote Buddhism.

Therefore, the only monks who became monks at that time were the Hu people from the Western Regions, and Buddhism was naturally considered to be the religion of the Hu people. It was not recognized by the family, and was even ostracized!

The third piece of information is also related to Buddhism: During the Five Husties period, a Buddhist master faced Shihu (295-May 26, 349, Jie tribe, named Jilong, the third Zhao of the Sixteen Kingdoms period)

Emperor Ren, the nephew of Emperor Ming of Later Zhao, Shi Le, visited him and told him that the Han people were the biggest scourge of Later Zhao.

So Shihu began to carry out countless massacres against the Han people, and countless beggars and Han towns were massacred...

When the people are suffering, etiquette is in ruins, and they go to bed at night not knowing whether they will have breakfast tomorrow, Buddhism that advocates the reincarnation of karma comes in handy...

The teaching of cause and effect is exactly in line with people's life experience of suffering in this life and looking forward to the next life.

And the universal salvation of all sentient beings, compassion and compassion provide a harbor for the suffering people to rest in their hearts.

Buddhism wants to expand, and those in power want the people not to resist. The combination of the two...

In the first year of Jianwu of Later Zhao (335), Later Zhao began to officially allow Han people to become monks!

From then on, Buddhism began to spread rapidly in the north and gradually influenced the Southern Dynasties, laying the foundation for the prosperity of Buddhism in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and also allowed Buddhism to gradually develop from a small sect into one of the major religions.

To put it simply, Buddhism was able to spread in the Central Plains precisely because of the Five Husties!

Before the Five Husties came to China, no Han people believed in Buddhism at all!
