Digimon Invasion

97. The Shadow in the Meteorite

"Sir, the New York subway responded to us. The strange movements underground seem to have disappeared."

Coulson was sitting in the car on the phone, "I estimate that the monster has been dealt with by Leon."

"How did the thing I asked you to do last time go? Did you find out any secrets about him?" Nick Fury's voice asked coldly on the phone.

"We investigated his background and information and found a strange problem..."

The expression on Colson's face became serious and he said: "His behavior has been basically normal since he was born. His father had an affair when he was very young, and his mother passed away a few years ago."

"Then he began to live in confusion, as if to escape reality. He hung out in bars, nightclubs and other places every day, and his private life was also very chaotic."

"But all this changed a few months ago. He seemed to have gained powerful abilities. Bank robberies, supermarket bombings, and the battle in Los Angeles... He became more powerful until he finally became what he is now.

.”

"A few months ago? What happened?" Nick Fury's tone was a little confused.

"We don't know very well, but what is certain is that Tony Stark just disappeared during that time." Coulson replied.

"You mean..." Nick Fury said in a surprised tone, "Is there any connection between the two?"

"Sir, we're here."

Just when Colson was about to say something, the driver in charge turned back and said.

"Director, I have something to do here. I'll call you later."

After Coulson hung up the phone, he immediately got out of the car and walked forward with several agents.

He took off his sunglasses and saw a huge farm under the morning sun.

There was a warehouse on the farm. There was a long cordon outside the warehouse, and a huge hole was made by something on the top of the warehouse.

At this time, a policeman not far away saw their appearance and quickly came over and asked: "Who are you?"

"I am Agent Phil Coulson of SHIELD." Coulson took out his ID and said, "How is the situation now?"

Hearing that it was someone from S.H.I.E.L.D., the police quickly said seriously: "Last night, the Lawrence family who lived here disappeared. We only received the alarm from our neighbors this morning."

"disappeared?"

"Yes." The police replied: "We only found one football in the warehouse, maybe it was left behind before they disappeared."

"Then why did they disappear?" Coulson and the policeman walked towards the warehouse, with several agents following behind them.

"It's probably because that thing -" the policeman said as he pushed open the door of the warehouse, and saw several policemen surrounding it.

Coulson took a closer look, and there was a huge silver-gray stone in the middle of them. This huge stone was as tall as half a man, and some vague patterns and symbols could be seen on it.

"We think this is probably a meteorite that happened to fall here and made a big hole in the warehouse." The police said, "But we don't know if this thing has anything to do with the disappearance of the Lawrence family."

Upon hearing his words, Colson immediately squatted down and looked carefully at the boulder on the ground.

Soon, his expression changed.

He was surprised to find that the words and symbols on the meteorite seemed familiar. He seemed to have seen them somewhere.

By the way, he remembered it immediately.

In that prison cell, a prisoner left those strange words on the wall before he died!

"Gentlemen, thank you for your hard work."

Coulson immediately stood up, looked at the policemen beside him and said: "From now on, this place is under the supervision of SHIELD. You can go back and rest!"

Then he looked at the other agents and said, "Contact the people at the Department of Transportation and ask them to take this meteorite away!"

After doing all this, he took out his mobile phone and dialed Nick Fury's number and said in a deep voice: "Sir, I found something. I think you will be interested."

In a blink of an eye, afternoon came.

Coulson successfully brought this mysterious meteorite to the sky aircraft carrier and placed it in a huge and transparent glass box in the laboratory.

This glass box is made of special materials, which is not only bulletproof, but also can withstand strong impacts and collisions.

The huge stone was placed in this glass box, and several scientific researchers in white coats were studying and analyzing it.

"Colson, is this what you're talking about?" Nick Fury's one eye widened, "A stone?"

He was originally engaged in other things. After Bruce Banner disappeared, S.H.I.E.L.D. had been looking for him.

However, after he received the news from Colson, he immediately took time out of his busy schedule to rush here, but he did not expect that what was waiting for him was a stone!

Isn't this just teasing him?

"Sir, this is not an ordinary stone." Colson replied: "Look carefully at the symbols and words on it. They are the same words as the words on the wall that I photographed before."

After hearing Coulson's words, Nick Fury moved forward and took a closer look.

"We have conducted a series of inspections and tests on this stone. It has no radioactivity, no radiation residue, and no traces of microorganisms or bacteria. All machines cannot break through its outer skin."

"We cannot analyze its formation structure, and the materials that make it up do not seem to belong to any known elements."

"and……"

Coulson winked at a scientific researcher next to him, and then the other person pressed a button, and a blue energy wave instantly shot into the glass box and bombarded the stone.

In an instant, the words on the stone lit up, blooming with dazzling red light!

"This is?!" Nick Fury said with a surprised expression.

The next moment, a black shadow poured out from the boulder, turning into a huge and ferocious face and hitting the top of the glass box!

"Fuck Fuck!"

Nick Fury was startled, took a step back and couldn't help but curse.

"We found that when a high-intensity energy pulse is released to it, a black shadow will come out of it."

Colson continued: "I think this black shadow is the body of the stone."

"Dark Shadow?"

Nick Fury looked at the black shadow in the glass box. The black shadow was also staring at him, as if observing him. However, the black shadow did not break through the glass box and escape, but stayed inside obediently.

"So, this black shadow is probably the summoned beast mentioned by the trainer? Nick Fury said.

"I'm afraid so."

Coulson nodded, "Director Fury, should we contact Lyon? Because we can't be sure whether this thing is dangerous. I'm worried that the same thing as last time in Guatemala will happen."

"No."

Nick Fury refused: "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us. Ever since this kind of monster came to our world, we have been in a passive situation, and we have been led by that guy."

"But it's different now. We have successfully captured a summoned beast. Of course, we must study it carefully to see what it is and whether there are ways to deal with or control them!"

"But……"

Coulson said tangledly: "Didn't we agree with him before that we would give up the capture of wild summoned beasts and would not interfere with the summoned beasts anymore?"

"Colson, we didn't capture it, it came to our door on its own initiative." Nick Fury stared at Colson with his single eye.

"I know what you are worried about, but we can't go on like this forever. Only by taking the initiative can SHIELD better protect the world...can't we?"

"Director..."

Colson opened his mouth, but didn't know what to say.

"Don't worry Coulson." Nick Fury patted him on the shoulder, "If something happens then, I will bear all the responsibilities, so just go ahead and do it!"

"Okay, okay..." Colson had no choice but to obey.

"I still have something to do. I'll leave this to you first."

Nick Fury tugged on his coat and turned around to leave, "Bruce Banner may have returned to the United States. In order to prevent the damage caused by the Hulk, we must be prepared!"

After seeing Nick Fury leave, Coulson sighed helplessly. He knew that the director was taking desperate risks, even at all costs for the benefit of SHIELD.

But when he glanced at the boulder in the glass box, he still felt deeply worried.

"Keep an eye on Leon Adams." Coulson said to the men behind him: "Just in case, make sure we can contact him at any time!"

"clear!"
