Dominate the Country

Chapter 945: War between “running dogs”

Twenty years ago, the Khanates of Kokand, Bukhara and Khiva did not have the concept of governorates.

However, from the day they accepted the support of Russia, a political reform began within the three Khanates, taking Russia as their master, just like Japan and Siam looked to China for everything.

Today, Siam looks to China for all its domestic political structures, administrative departments, and even hierarchical divisions. Japan seems to still adhere to their traditional set, but in fact, the old Chinese is their cabinet minister, and the chief old Chinese is their cabinet chief minister.

Only the name has not changed, and the old bottle is filled with newly brewed wine.

The governorates of the Khanates of Kokand, Bukhara and Khiva were copied from the policies of the Russians, and all of them were placed in the northern borders of the three Khanates.

The Pamir Governorate was a new jurisdiction set up by the Kokand people after the Seven Khanates were officially established, specifically targeting their threats in the north. The center was located in Andijan, and the jurisdiction covered half of Kyrgyzstan. The governor is Mohammed Omar, the younger brother of the current Kokand Khan Alimu!

If the three khanates and the seven khanates in the north officially go to war, the Pamir Governorate will be the front line of the battle, and the Kokand soldiers here will not only have to resist the pressure from the seven khanates in the north, but also have to guard against possible sneak attacks from the Chinese National Defense Army in the east.

"Great Juz [easternmost] has a total population of only 20,000 to 30,000 in the Chu River Valley, so there are not many garrisons. The local Kyrgyz people were driven away by them, and the tens of thousands of Uzbeks who originally lived here were also driven to the south by the Kazakhs. The Kazakh army there now relies entirely on the Chinese in Lake Balkhash to provide military supplies and ammunition. The Kazakhs have lived on this land for ten years, and the food and livestock produced can only feed themselves, but they can't even build a gunpowder factory.

Every summer and autumn, countless Chinese people are transported back and forth at the flat mountain pass sandwiched between the Zhertau Mountains and the Aitau Mountains. But these people will completely return to the upper north before the heavy snow falls. There are only so many Kazakhs in the Chu River Valley, and the garrison forces, in addition to the vulnerable Kazakh cavalry, are only one regiment of the newly established army."

Mohammed Omar listened carefully to the report of his intelligence officer, and was very comfortable with the latter's contempt for Great Juz in his words.

The Chu River Valley is a small plain in the northeast of Kokand, divided into two parts by the Kokand Khanate and the Great Juz, each occupying the north and south. This is also the gateway to Kokand. In recent years, with the help of Russia, the Kokand Khanate has built a series of fortresses such as Bishkek, Tokmak, Aksu, Kara-Baleta, etc. on the plains of the Chu River Valley.

From the Chu River Valley to the north are the Reltau Mountains and Aitau Mountains, which are the territorial demarcation line between the Great Juz and Chenhan, and further north is the Balkhash Lake area. And along the Chu River, a thousand-kilometer-long river, to the west, that is the hinterland of the Great Juz.

The Chu River Valley is an arm of the Great Juz extending to the east. This arm is sandwiched between two large deserts. To the south is the Moinkum Desert shared with the Kokand Khanate, and to the north is the vast Badung Desert. The so-called Badung Desert is the east bank of Lake Balkhash, and the desert stretches for thousands of miles.

And half of the Chu River Valley is the fist of the Great Juz people.

In the eyes of the Khanate of Kokand, why did the Chinese leave half of the Chu River Valley to the Great Juze? This was purely to provide convenient conditions for the Great Juze to attack.

As long as the Great Juze could enter Kokand from the Chu River Valley, that is, enter the Fergana Basin, it would be difficult for the Khanate of Kokand to have any natural advantages. Here, the Great Juze has the support of China and has no shortage of military supplies and food. If the war breaks out, it will inevitably greatly involve the energy of the Khanate of Kokand.

Otherwise, why would the Kokand people build so many fortresses in the southern part of the Chu River Valley?

The Chu River Valley is really a gate to Kokand. If it is opened by the enemy, the gate to the Fergana Basin will also be opened. The Khanate of Kokand will no longer be able to resist the enemy's iron hoof.

"But we can't underestimate the Kazakhs because of this." Mohammed Omar waved his arms and said to the people at the meeting that the Kazakhs living in the Chu River Valley area, as long as they are male, are soldiers when they pick up guns and cavalry when they ride horses, and they will have short-term training every year. The Chinese have provided great support to the Kazakhs. "We can't have any negligence or mistakes in this war!"

When the seven khanates sent a battle report to Nanjing, the three khanates did not enjoy peace. The Kokand Khanate, with a keen sense of smell, was the first to launch a war mobilization.

Mohammed Omar had detailed intelligence on the seven khanates provided by the Russians and had a thorough understanding of the strength of the Great Juz.

The Great Juz, with a total population of less than 500,000, had only 15,000 regular troops, but their militia was not small in number, with 10,000 long-term militiamen, half of whom had been deployed in the Chu River Valley.

Including the war potential, the Great Juz had only 40,000 to 50,000 people at most. This was already a desperate effort, and the militia, which was the absolute main force, was not comparable to the regular Great Juz Army in terms of armament and combat effectiveness.

The Kokand Khanate could easily defeat the Great Juz Khanate alone.

The westernmost Small Juz was on par with the Great Juz in terms of strength and territory.

Among the three Kazakh khanates, the most populous is the Middle Juz, whose population has now exceeded one million. Therefore, there are 30,000 standing troops and more than 50,000 militias.

The combined strength of these three Kazakh khanates cannot be underestimated. Not to mention that they have the four Mongolian khanates as allies.

When the Khanate of Kokand took action this time, "We will face not only one Great Juz, but also a Middle Juz." Mohammed Omar's words surprised everyone present. Because the information in Omar's hand not only includes the population and approximate number of troops of each country, but also the distribution location and number of artillery of the Great Juz Khanate and the Middle Juz Khanate, as well as rocket reserves. This can be said to be top secret!

In direct opposition to the garrison in the northern part of the Chu River Valley of the Great Juz is the 20,000 garrison of the Khanate of Kokand in the Pamir Governor's District, half of which is stationed in the Bishkek Fortress at the forefront of the Chu River Valley. Among the 10,000 infantry and cavalry, there are 3,000 "mercenaries" - that is, Kyrgyz cavalry and Cossack cavalry, the latter of which were transferred to the Khanate of Kokand by the Russians over the years.

Although Russia and the three khanates in Central Asia no longer have direct land routes, it is still relatively convenient for the Russians to enter Ashgabat directly through the Caspian Sea, at least they can reach the Khanate of Khiva.

The Russians will not send too many orthodox Slavs to the three khanates, which will give the Chinese a handle. Some of the Cossacks are mixed with Central Asian ancestry, and such mixed troops have quite good combat effectiveness.

Moreover, most of the population of the three khanates still exists in the form of tribes. As long as there are enough arms reserves and the local residents generally have horses and scimitars, a team can be raised in a blink of an eye. If the three khanates have a high enough appeal, Mohammed Omar can raise 20,000 people's militia in the Pamir Governorate alone.

But the enemies of the three khanates are not only the three khanates of Kazakhstan, but also the four khanates of Mongolia. The population of the seven small khanates is less than 6 million, but they have at least 100,000 regular troops and no less than 200,000 civilian cavalry. How can the three khanates not vigorously develop their military in recent years? They are really Alexander.

Such a force is not too much water. Even if it is attached to the Russians, the giant Tsarist Russia will also grin. And behind them, there is a huge and unrecognizable China to support them.

Russia has long formulated its own revival strategy, and they still have a decisive battle with China. But before that, they need the three khanates in Central Asia to hold back the Chinese, so St. Petersburg vigorously supports the three khanates, that is, to sharpen it into a sharp dagger, and then firmly press it against the waist of the Chinese.

And the reason why the Chinese strongly support the seven khanates is obviously not to help others.

The ten khanates in Central Asia, no matter which ethnic group they are from or what position they stand on, are just running dogs raised by China and Russia. This war is nothing more than a war between lackeys!

"Believers of the true God, the Chinese are provoking the great true God. They have rejected the legitimate requests of the elders and allowed more and more items that blaspheme the true God to appear in Atshaer [six cities in southern Xinjiang] and the Kazakh grasslands, which are shrouded in the glory of the true God. They want to provoke a war. We will never give in and let them wantonly taint the faith of the true God."

"The Kazakhs in our north are betraying the true God. All Kazakhs will be thrown into the painful hell and suffer to atone for their original sins. They have stood together with the Mongolian Khanate that believes in evil gods and have blasphemed the faith." Mohammed Omar waved his arms. "We can't watch the glory of the true God being tarnished. If they want to provoke a war, let's fight them back with war!"

"Don't pin your hopes on diplomacy. That's a cowardly act! And even if the Khan agrees to negotiate with the Kazakhs and Mongols in the north, do you think they will prepare the negotiation table? No, they won't. What they want is war, an immediate war, taking advantage of the fact that the Kokand Khanate, which is protected by the true God, has not yet completely completed its military reform, and using war to seize the precious land belonging to Kokand. We must prepare for battle, recruit militias, distribute ammunition, and use the short time to store food, instead of foolishly wasting this precious time."

Mohammed Omar is the representative of the hawks in Kokand, and his brother Alimu Khan is more prudent, because Alimu knows very well that Kokand cannot win this war. Unless Russia is ready to personally participate, but now Russia only promises to send troops to the Ural River region to contain the seven khanates.

Mohammed Omar doesn't care what his brother thinks. As the leader of the hawks, he has close contact with the Russians. Russia recently sent him a top-secret intelligence. Omar saw the war from it - the Great Juz is mobilizing troops, and more and more troops are gathering in the Chu River Basin. The prelude to the war is about to begin.

"Kokand should not passively take the beating!" - Mohammed Omar said.

"War is coming. Abandon the ridiculous idea and prepare for war. Kokand is not afraid of war. We are a nation that obeys the true God. Let the bayonet and bullet teach the blasphemers a lesson. They need to maintain the necessary respect and courtesy to the great true God and the true God's loyal servants - the Khan of Kokand, the loyal caliph."

"This is my decision. The decision of Emir Mohammed Omar, the highest military and political chief of the Pamir Governorate. I don't care what you think in your heart. Do it quickly according to my words.

I want to see the good changes that should be seen every day.

Do you understand? Believers of the true God?"

The waving arms showed Mohammed Omar's determination at the moment. The officers and government officials present bowed their heads respectfully.

"Yes, respected Emir Mohammed Omar. We will act in full accordance with your decision. There will be no mistakes."

War, a war between "running dogs", is about to break out!
