Chapter 69 - Reflections on Being Published

At noon today, this book will be officially published.

Since it's being published, it's only natural to write something, some reflections on being published.

First of all, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the esteemed readers for their support and following of this book!

As a newbie, writing a book for the first time, I must say I am pleasantly surprised and quite amazed by the achievements so far.

When I first started writing this book, it was because I had just finished reading "I Am Eternal in the Cultivation World" by the amazing author of the Fast Food Restaurant series. I found it very interesting and thought that Li Er Gou would be a suitable protagonist. I also felt a bit regretful about the plot involving the young miss, so I decided to write a book with Li Er Gou as the main character.

Coincidentally, I had some free time at the end of the year and went home early for the Lunar New Year. I was bored at home, so I started writing with a playful mindset.

Now that it's about to be published, my mood is naturally not as casual as before, and I feel a bit anxious.

Mainly because I lack confidence in what I will write next, I have no foundation.

Perhaps I have become numb from screwing screws every day, and I don't have much emotion left.

This has made me lose interest in everything I do, and even when writing novels, there isn't much emotion or passion in it. It's been a plain and ordinary process, without any dramatic twists or turns.

Also, I don't have any saved drafts, and I type slowly, which makes me feel anxious.

To be honest, you may not believe it.

I started writing this book in January, writing a few thousand words every day. But considering that I had to visit relatives during the Lunar New Year, I didn't publish anything and saved up until February. By then, I had already written 80,000 words.

But now, I only have a few chapters of saved drafts left, and they were saved just last week.

One reason is that I type slowly. With only two fingers, I can only type a thousand words in an hour. If I encounter something I'm unsure about, I may spend several hours on it.

The other reason is that when I eagerly published the book, I only received a few collections each day and no comments. It really deflated me, and I didn't write for a whole week. If I didn't have saved drafts, I felt like giving up completely.

That feeling was really tough to endure.

Later, I tried promoting the book, and it achieved some results. I gained motivation and started taking the writing more seriously. This led to a sense of anxiety and constantly revising the remaining drafts.

I made many deletions and revisions to these plotlines before the book was published, which also delayed my typing and resulted in many discarded drafts.

I can only say that writing novels is a tricky thing. Having high expectations but lacking the skills is truly detrimental.

Enough of the nonsense, let's talk about what will happen after the book is published.

At noon, I will release a few chapters of saved drafts on time.

I checked, and there are a total of 12,000 words, which meets the requirement for five updates upon publication. With the additional words I will type today, I will easily reach 15,000 words.

In any case, I will write as much as I can!

As for additional updates, I will do one extra update for the hall master, five extra updates for the alliance leader, and one extra update for every 500 monthly votes.

The intention is clear, to motivate myself, because after all, I don't have any saved drafts and I type slowly. Even if there are more updates, I won't be able to keep up.

As for regular updates, I'm afraid to promise too much and end up disappointing you, so I will guarantee 5,000 words. If the first day's performance is good, I will try to reach 7,000 words and see if I can push myself a bit harder and not be so lazy.

That's it. Thank you to all the esteemed readers for your support, and thank you to everyone who has voted, rewarded, and commented on this book.

I also hope that all the esteemed readers will subscribe and support me. Thank you! Thank you!
