Everyday Players at Hogwarts

Chapter 235: Ignorant Riddle

Tom Riddle, although he later became a notorious dark wizard, took his inglorious future out of his life. At Hogwarts, he was undoubtedly a good student.

As an orphan with extraordinary qualifications and very handsome, he naturally attracted the attention and sympathy of the teachers almost as soon as he arrived at school.

He looked polite, quiet, and hungry for knowledge.

Almost everyone had a good impression of him.

But if someone said that his grades were not very good in the Muggle world, or even that he did not like reading very much, it would definitely attract the ridicule of all the wizards who knew him, and they would be sure that this was a lie and a joke.

But the fact is that Riddle's academic performance was not good for a period of time when he was in the orphanage. At that time, his attention was more focused on his wonderful special abilities.

Relying on this power, although he was excluded and even considered a lunatic by the orphanage's nanny and invited a psychiatrist, in a sense, no orphan dared to provoke him, and he did not need friends in the conventional sense.

Dumbledore may not know this. Dumbledore may think that Riddle has a cruel, secretive and domineering nature, but he is not a person who does not like to study or has poor grades.

When Dumbledore first came to the Wood Orphanage, when he told Mrs. Cole, the manager of the orphanage, that Riddle had the qualities needed by Hogwarts, Mrs. Cole mistakenly thought that Riddle had won a scholarship to Hogwarts.

But what she didn't care about was that Riddle did not apply. According to her words, if Riddle applied, he could get scholarships from some schools.

And when Dumbledore entered Riddle's room, Riddle was also reading a book, looking like an intellectual.

This is why Dumbledore thought that Riddle only had a problem with his personality, but the rest of him looked like a good student.

But only Tom Riddle himself knew that his excellent academic performance and habit of reading books were not because he liked knowledge.

The Wood Orphanage is located in London. As an orphanage in the capital of the United Kingdom, it is very good in all aspects compared to orphanages in other places at the same time.

Although it looked simple, the furniture was old and mismatched. But the whole environment was exceptionally clean and tidy, and every orphan wore a uniform gray waistcoat, and seemed to have been well taken care of.

The only drawback was that the atmosphere was very gloomy and depressing, and the nurses here had no time to take care of the children's psychological problems.

It was also because this orphanage was so good that after Riddle gained the status of the king of children through his skilled special abilities, he had nothing else to worry about, and he didn't have to think about pretending to be cool all day.

Riddle's itinerary also began to spread all over London, not just in the orphanage.

At this time, he pretended to be a good boy and learned from some people the importance of knowledge, which no one in the orphanage had mentioned.

As long as he had good grades, he could go to a good university, find a good job, and earn several times the money of those who didn't study.

He also had the opportunity to become a British civil servant and dominate others.

So Riddle began to study seriously and impressed Mrs. Cole. He didn't make trouble all day, and just stayed in his room reading.

And then Dumbledore came.

After entering Hogwarts, he kept the good habit of reading books, because magic books are more direct, unlike Muggle books that need to be exchanged for graduation certificates, degrees, skill certificates and the like.

Magic books are synonymous with power, which also made Riddle begin to despise Muggle knowledge.

He did not take the Muggle Studies course in the third year.

For everything about Muggles, Riddle is no different from an illiterate.

That's why he didn't understand how great Dumbledore's moon landing was. In his eyes, the magician's suspected perfect version of self-transfiguration, the superb wandless spell, and the completely different way of stealth from existing magic - turning into moonlight are the most shocking.

You know, appearing from thin air is a common way of stealth - this is usually achieved through Apparition and Disillusionment.

"What shape is the earth?" Dumbledore asked tentatively. Riddle's words made him think of a possibility. Is the reason why Voldemort is so radical still related to his lack of understanding of Muggles?

This is a new breakthrough!

He seemed to see the dawn of changing Riddle's concept.

"Circle, I know this." Riddle replied unhappily. He was still looking at Harry Potter in the picture. As for that "self", what does Voldemort have to do with Tom Riddle?

"Then do you know why the earth is round, and we can still stand on the ground and stand very steadily." Dumbledore asked again.

"I have thought about it, and later I learned the reason from a magic book."

"That is magic, the power of magic!"

"Wizards were very powerful at the beginning and were called gods, but because they had intercourse with Muggles, their blood deteriorated from generation to generation and became what they are now."

"The world before was a round and square structure, and it was the wizards who were once called gods who transformed the earth." Riddle said seriously.

This made Ryan, who was lying on the sofa at home, almost stand up. Tom Riddle is really illiterate!

No, he is not illiterate. Although this knowledge is wrong, he read it in a book. It is probably the mainstream view of the pure-blood family.

They are different from Ryan. Their only knowledge can only analyze such a result.

Ryan has the skill of thinking, and the power of pointing to the right direction brought by the skill panel, which allows Ryan to get the closest to the truth from many information.

That is, the weakness of wizards is not the deterioration of blood, but the wizards are too powerful. They hold each other back and unconsciously curse their offspring, causing deterioration.

This leads to the original stone that should be as powerful as gods - Muggle-born wizards, and there is no difference between them and the pure-blood wizards who have been passed down after deterioration.

"Don't you know about gravity? When the earth rotates, it generates a centripetal force. Everything on the earth is affected by it. That's why apples don't fly up, but fall to the ground."

"And wizards don't become weaker because of their union with Muggles. Wizards were born among Muggles."

"You may not know that, like us Dumbledore, in our family records, every Dumbledore married a wizard and gave birth to offspring, but we are still the same wizards who deteriorated by union with Muggles as you said."

"Tom, it seems that before becoming a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, you still need to make up for the Muggle Studies class." Dumbledore couldn't help but look at Riddle with a retard's eyes.
