Chapter 33: Farewell Letter
Happy times are always short.
Especially when everything is going in a good direction. After a few days of secret observation, Ginny finally confirmed that everything that happened in Ron's room before was just a misunderstanding.
Only Fred and George would occasionally joke about this.
About a week after arriving at the Burrow, on a sunny morning, Harry received a letter from Sirius.
It was because of this that they discovered a long-forgotten existence, the house elf Kreacher.
In order not to be ordered by Harry, he has not appeared around Harry these days, and he didn't even say a word.
Kreacher, where have you been these days?
And how do you manage to eat and sleep. Ron asked curiously.
Kreacher didn't answer the words of the pure-blood traitor's son. Kreacher muttered with his head down.
Kreacher, answer Ron's question, and don't call him that! Harry said.
Kreacher can only listen to Harry Potter's words, this is the order of the prodigal. My poor mistress, Kreacher can only answer.
Kreacher has been hiding next to Harry Potter. As long as Harry Potter doesn't find Kreacher and forgets Kreacher, Kreacher doesn't have to obey the young master's orders.
Kreacher can catch food by himself. Kreacher replied unwillingly.
But we have chickens at home. Ron asked curiously.
As the saying goes, children from poor families grow up early. Although Ron is ignorant, he still knows the number of chickens at home.
Kreacher, the disowned child of the old master, has been depraved enough to eat your food on the first night, my mistress, Kreacher has no choice but to obey Harry Potter's orders.
Kreacher caught mice, frogs, and insects to eat. Kreacher said with a heavy breath, he still thought of a way not to call Ron's name directly.
Kreacher, I order you to eat the Weasleys' food at noon today, and you are not allowed to refuse! Harry said forcefully.
Although he felt sorry for Kreacher, Harry thought it would be better not to show it.
Otherwise, Kreacher would probably hurt himself because of it.
Maybe not. He had never seen Kreacher hurt himself. Maybe his old master or Sirius stopped him.
This afternoon? Are you leaving? Ron poked his head out from the orange quilt.
Now he went back to his bed. Without the hum of the ghoul, he was a little insomniac.
We are leaving? Draco poked his head out of the tent in his pajamas.
Yes, Sirius has a letter from Kreacher. Harry took out a letter.
Dear Harry:
Harry, I will come to the Weasleys' house to pick you three up this afternoon. You can talk to Arthur, Molly and the others about this. Also, Dobby has got a job at Dumbledore. By the way, there is a new friend to introduce to you when you get to my house.
Your dear Sirius
Does this mean that I will be able to see where my mother grew up? Draco said with longing.
I said why I didn't see the owl. Ron said.
Sirius must have done this on purpose, he knew that Mrs. Weasley would not agree to take us away just like that.
But it would be different if I said it. Harry didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Who is the new friend? Draco asked.
Maybe that crazy elf Dobby? I knew that Dumbledore would not accept an elf who needed to be paid. Ron said.
He became more and more confident as he spoke, and stood up from the bed. That, Ron.
I remember I read the letter. Harry said.
He looked puzzled, as if he saw a fish that couldn't swim.
What? Ron looked at Harry hesitantly.
Sirius had mentioned in the letter that Dobby got the job given by Dumbledore. Draco stroked his forehead gently. Even now, he was still a little uncomfortable with Ron who always made mistakes occasionally.
He also understood how stupid he was to regard Ron as a scheming person who deceived Harry's trust.
Ron. I think that might be Lupin. Harry said embarrassedly.
Who is Lupin? Ron quickly changed the subject. He actually remembered Lupin.
My father's friend.
About half an hour later, Harry, Ron, and Draco went downstairs to prepare for breakfast.
The Weasleys and Ginny were already sitting at the dining table.
Harry was nervously holding the letter under his robe, and he didn't even notice the bread handed over by Mrs. Weasley.
What's wrong, Harry? Mrs. Weasley said.
She looked at her little daughter, Ginny. She knew that Ginny had been secretly watching Harry these days, but she didn't know that she had put so much pressure on Harry.
It has nothing to do with Ginny. Harry understood Mrs. Weasley's movements and expressions in seconds.
Ginny, who was standing aside, raised her pretty little face, looking confused.
Ron and Mr. Weasley were about to ask what was going on and what it had to do with Ginny. This idea was strangled in the bud by the eyes of Draco and Mrs. Weasley respectively.
It's a letter from Sirius. Harry whispered.
These days, Mrs. Weasley was like her mother, and telling her this news made Harry feel betrayed for some reason.
When? The smile on Mrs. Weasley's face disappeared.
She subconsciously stuffed several eggs into the bread she was about to hand over, as if she was worried that Harry would leave their home thin.
Sirius was coming at noon today. Harry shrank his neck.
What's wrong, Mom?
Are Ron and Draco competing for favor again?
I don't think so, Fred, you see
I'll go get Percy for breakfast. Fred and George just went downstairs and disappeared again.
Then there was the sound of a car tire deflation. I'm so confused, didn't I know it a long time ago? Mrs. Weasley said to herself.
Arthur, you can drink today.
At noon today. Mrs. Weasley emphasized the last few words.
Drink!
What is today? I understand, Molly
I really understand, Molly said Mr. Weasley with a trembling voice.
Mom, we're going out first. Even Ron, who is so slow, knows that this place is not suitable for him to stay now.
He picked up a few pies and rushed out of the Burrow.
Draco and Harry followed closely, after a polite goodbye.
Even Ginny slipped away quietly.
I dare say that Mom must want Dad to get Sirius drunk. Soon after, Ron, who had already run to the garden, said with a heavy breath.
I don't think this is a good idea. Sirius already knows that Mrs. Weasley is not easy to deal with.
Look, he didn't even send the letter to her, but asked me to tell her. Harry said half complaining and half serious.
What does this have to do with us.
What's the difference between here and Sirius's house? Draco said.
Yes.
It's all fun.
