Everyday Players at Hogwarts
Chapter 111: Disappointed Harry
The time was 6:30, and the underground classrooms of Hogwarts were crowded with hundreds of milky-white, translucent figures. Most of them were wandering around the overcrowded dance floor.
A few ghosts chose to surround the cake and stick out their noses to smell it from time to time.
The same goes for Ron, who is trying to smell the food.
Why is there no food at all? Ron rubbed his growling stomach dissatisfiedly.
Don't you understand yet?
From the pattern of candles on the road, the style of the music, and the fact that Nick didn't remind us to put on more clothes, it can be seen that he had no idea what to prepare for the living people who came to this party. Draco looked sarcastic, and pointed his right hand at the chandelier above their heads, which was also made of the same thin black candles in the aisle.
However, there are more than a thousand of them.
The blue light released would not make Harry and the others invisible.
The sun that Harry used for warmth and lighting had long since disappeared.
This is Harry's consideration for Nick's face.
Nearly headless Nick is indeed a Gryffindor, so careless!
Harry, in my opinion, you shouldn't have canceled the magic sun you just created, and let him realize his mistake! Draco said, puffs of mist coming out as he opened and closed his mouth.
Apparently, it was colder in the basement, with so many ghosts, than it had just been in the hallway.
Let's forget it, Nick didn't mean it, and we were a little late, leaving them all waiting.
And Nick’s cake still has our names on it. Harry came back breathless.
Draco and Ron looked dissatisfied.
But none of them continued to say anything. Harry's opinion was the most important to them.
It's nothing to be cold or hungry, and attending the ghost's dinner is a rare opportunity.
The reason why they broke out was actually because they were worried that Harry would be wronged.
So they began to walk slowly around the edge of the dance floor to avoid accidentally walking through the ghost's body. This also allowed them to move their bodies and keep them from getting too cold.
Harry and the others passed a group of sullen nuns, a ragged man in chains, and a fat monk. A Hufflepuff ghost, lively and cheerful, was chatting with a knight with an arrow stuck in his forehead.
Harry also saw Bloody Barrow, which was what he expected.
Bloody Barrow is the ghost of Slytherin. He is skinny, with straight eyes, and his body is stained with silver blood. Other ghosts are making room for him.
But for some reason, Harry never saw any trace of Helena.
Didn't Nick say she would come?
Nick, isn't Ms. Gray here? Harry walked towards Nick, who was still floating high and looking at the surrounding walls.
Nick was mumbling something with excitement on his face. When Harry got closer, he could hear someone telling you to refuse me and see how you eat.
Harry's approach obviously startled Nick, and his head almost fell off his neck.
Ah, it's you, Harry. Is it fun? Before Harry could answer, he smiled exaggeratedly and said: It's interesting. Other ghosts' death anniversaries don't have so many ghosts attending.
By the way, you just asked Ms. Gray, right? Harry, Harry, I always forget that you are Lady Ravenclaw Gray, you know, there is Bloody Barrow, you understand, Nick said intermittently. Harry sighed in disappointment.
Could this be fate?
Maybe he should spend more time with Ginny.
He shouldn't take after Ryan.
Ron, who was behind Harry, obviously didn't know what Harry was thinking.
Otherwise, he would definitely be tempted to draw his wand, point it at Harry, and cast what he thought was the most vicious curse possible.
Ron just assumed that Harry found the party as boring as he did.
Harry, we'll leave soon after the Headless Hunters arrive. Ron quickly struck while the iron was hot.
Yes, when the Headless Hunters make a fool of themselves, Nick will probably be very happy and not notice us leaving.
It’s like he’s oblivious to the needs of us living guests. Draco also said immediately.
All right. Harry nodded helplessly.
Ron's advice was good, and Draco's words were ugly but true.
What's more, the target of his visit this time, Helena, is not here.
After about a few minutes, Harry and the others were so cold that they couldn't help but cast a cold-repelling spell on themselves that they had just learned from Draco.
Just when Ron couldn't help but want to suggest leaving early again.
The clear and long sound of horses suddenly sounded, and twelve ghost horses suddenly ran out from the wall of the underground classroom, each with a headless rider on top.
Nice and quiet! Our friends are here, my late lords, ladies and gentlemen, let's have dinner! Nick said happily in a voice that was close to a roar.
Thunderous applause erupted from the surrounding area!
Twelve ghost horses ran to the center of the dance floor, stopped suddenly, stood upright on their hind legs, and then kicked up their hind hooves to rush forward.
Immediately at the front was a large ghost with a bearded head tucked under his arm, blowing a horn. He jumped off his horse and raised his head high in the air so that he could look at everyone from above.
He looked surprised, as if he had never encountered a situation where other ghosts did not applaud him.
His unique skills attracted the attention of countless ghosts.
But now, the arrival of him and his teammates is like air.
But the next second, he understood.
The transparent dining table floating in the air beside the dance floor was now full of ghosts.
Even the Bloody Baron was crowded with ghosts.
They all put all their energy into enjoying the food, so much so that they didn't even look at the Hunters.
Nick, this is Dumbledore's masterpiece!
I didn't expect that I could wait until this day. He strode towards the almost headless Nick, while carelessly stuffing his head into his neck.
There is no doubt that he should be Sir Patrick Dilani Podmore of the Headless Hunters.
He was also a nobleman when he was alive, and was a thorn in Nick's eyes.
Ah, Patrick, aren't you going to eat? What, are you not used to the quietness around you? Nick said stiffly and sarcastically.
He thought Patrick would mock him for not being able to join the Headless Hunters.
Or prepare a performance in the center of the stage to attract the guests whose attention was taken away by the food.
Dumbledore is indeed amazing. Patrick emphasized Dumbledore's name.
Okay, since the host has spoken, guys, let's eat! At his command, they dismounted and floated to the dining table.
Nick on the side was trembling with anger. What was more terrible than being ridiculed was indifference.
At this moment, he would rather Patrick ridicule him than act calm.
