Karin slowly descended into Spider Nest, appreciating the work that Zayne had done. She was surprised to see hundreds of corpses, and they kept coming, not about to end.

'Hmm... Maybe now I understand why Gael chose this guy, though I still don't know how or when they met... As far as I know, Gael hasn't been to the Lax River Region in a while, or am I missing something?' Karin muttered inwardly, looking around.

As she approached closer to the center of the nest, she felt the shiver that came from the intense battle, and as she reached the cliff, her eyes opened wide for a second, and a satisfied smile appeared on her face.

Two opponents fiercely fought against each other, one was a young man with a dark sword that shone brightly with purple light, and the other was a huge spider, desperately trying to make a single successful attack.

The Spider Queen attacked Zayne with her front paws that like sharp blades aimed at his weak points, however, he easily dodged each such attack.

Zayne felt his body perfectly, his stats had not increased with the new Title, but because of the temporary boost and Sense of Balance, he moved as fast as ever.

'Fine... I'm starting to get used to it, but if I only dodge, there's no way I can win. I need to move into action!' Zayne exclaimed inwardly before stopping abruptly, raising a cloud of dust.

However, the dust was no barrier to the Spider Queen as she immediately attacked, this was her opportunity to finally wound Zayne.

Clash.

Sparks appeared from the clash of sharp legs and sword as Zayne moved forward, heading straight for Spier Queen's head.

"Sniiizzh!!!" Spider Queen hissed as she spat a clot of venom at Zayne, which was much larger and thicker than normal spiders possessing venom.

Zayne's pupils narrowed, he tilted his body sharply, letting the venom fly over his chest, and directed the mana toward his back, creating the silhouette of two scarlet wings.

Karin watched Zayne carefully, assessing his every action. She was lucky to have the opportunity to see him in battle so soon.

'Not bad... Not bad at all... But I would have liked to see the skill he learned after becoming one of us... Surely his dance is special.' Karin pondered, keeping her eyes on Zayne.

Whoooooooooooosh.

The scarlet wings came into motion as Zayne in a red flash swept through the Spider Queen, ending up behind her.

On the body of the huge spider, a streak of dark blood appeared, covering the ground and causing Spider Queen to scream in anger, filling the room with eerie sounds.

"Hmm... I thought that would be enough, but I guess I was wrong." Zayne muttered quietly, preparing to attack again, but, goosebumps suddenly ran down his body as he abruptly jumped aside, listening to his instincts.

The Spider Queen appeared right in front of him, her entire body was covered in a red layer of energy. She became much faster and stronger as red liquid dripped from the tips of her legs.

Zayne's eyes followed the first drop, which headed toward the ground and easily burned through it like it was lava.

'Fuck... This isn't poison anymore, it's real acid that will make a hole in my body, and I won't even have time to realize what happened.' Zayne gulped, gripping the hilt of his sword tightly.

"Snizh!!!" The Spider Queen hissed, swinging her front legs and throwing several clots of acid at Zayne.

Zayne jumped back, swung his sword, and swung it, throwing the clots aside. They hit the wall, passing through it like cotton wool.

'Hmm... Even with my increased stats and new Title, I'm not sure I'm ready to fight her at close range. Sooner or later I will make a mistake, and it will be the end for me, so I need a different approach.' Zayne pondered a plan of action, then his sword flashed a blue flame as the temperature around it dropped dramatically.

'Oh... So he has Ice Aspect Skill? That's curious, but why do I feel like I've seen this somewhere before? That flame looks so familiar to me...' Karin muttered inwardly as she bit down on her finger with a frown.

Zayne kept his distance, not letting Spider Queen get close to him, waiting for the right moment to attack.

'Now!' Zayne swung his sword twice diagonally, creating a fiery cross that left a thick layer of ice behind.

The Spider Queen flinched as she tried to retreat, but Zayne figured it out, and she couldn't do it because her legs were already frozen to the ground.

As the flaming cross appeared Karin's eyes went wide. She couldn't believe what she was seeing, which gave her goosebumps.

Crackle. Crackle. Crackle.

Azure Cross went through Spider Queen, disappearing behind her and splitting into pieces. The sign of the cross flashed on the Spider Queen's body, then her body turned to ice, forever.

Zayne smirked as he thrust his sword into Spider Queen's head, defeating his opponent.

Crackle. Crackle. Crackle. 

The Spider Queen shattered into shards, spreading across the ground as pale blue streams emerged from her body that headed towards Zayne's sword.

The many runes on the dark blade burst brightly as the sword was covered in purple flames that dared to attack even Zayne.

"Shit!" Zayne let go of the sword as he jumped aside, looking wary at his weapon, which was floating in the air, covered in thick fire.

"What's going on...? I definitely did everything right..." Zayne muttered with a frown.

"It's okay." Suddenly a quiet voice came from outside as Zayne turned sharply.

"K-Karin...?" Zayne was puzzled, he didn't understand why Karin had come here.

Karin looked at Zayne intently, "You need to wait until the sword absorbs all the energy, in the meantime I want you to answer some questions."

Zayne gulped.
